Anyone heard anything good or bad about Far Cry Primal?  Had a particularly intense month of work so I figured I'll reward myself with some AAA fakeybroing.  The Division is a definite buy, just have to wait to see if prices drop.  Currently cheapest I've seen for vanilla is $28 and $65 for Gold.  Trying to figure out if I also want to fakeybro Primal or something else.

How Fakey are you looking to Fakey? I mean with Ubi stuff if you go shadybro it's going to be a Uplay key which most of the regulars here get their panties in a bunch about.

If you want those games on Steam it's going to be some top dollar fakeying for sure. Like AAA console game level prices without the idiots unlocked or cereal box top discounts.

Mooby, is that you?
I think Mooby would rather commit harakiri then even play a Call of Doody game in the first place.

Oh, I'm definitely doing full on shady bro uplay key to the max.

So far I've seen Division h it $28 vanilla and Primal around $36 on GMG of all places.

Hoping the Division will fall in price more. Not sure if Primal is part of any GFX card promos.

I did it on a bet.

Call of Duty: Ghosts - Haven't played SP. Didn't care too much for MP maps on Free Weekend. Owns full game, needs to get around to SP sometime.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Ain't played SP. Liked MP on Free Weekend, but wasn't thrilled with MP. Reminds me of Crysis 2's MP mixed with COD MP. Waiting for price-drop; don't own it yet.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter - Installed; played for a few minutes; shut it off. Not sure to when I will get around to it to try and stick with it. Other purchases got in its way.

Mirror's Edge - Better actual plot than actual story + character development; cool cut-scenes; but fantastic graphics + gameplay (for the time in came out in). Good game. Really looking forward to sequel/reboot.

Kane And Lynch: Dead Men - Needs its sticking-to-cover mechanic fixed. Ran like garbage on my rig + many others when it came out. Fun MP, if you actually can get some people playing and find some players. Uses crappy G4WL. Decent game, but could've been better.

Kane And Lynch 2: Dog Days - Major improvement on cover mechanics, making it an improvement on K+L1. MP is fun, if you can get some people together and/or find some matches online - good luck with that, though. Solid game.

Murdered: Soul Suspect - Great story + character development, which is why you should experience this game. Gameplay could've been better, though...as the stealth elements are half-baked & keep the game away from reaching its potential greatness. My Steam Review on this is over here.

Undertale - Ain't played it.

Slender The Arrival - Ain't played it.

Distraint - Ain't played it.

cheapest to get Primal at is gmg for 36. cdkeys and g2a are the same prices. Primal is bundled with Nvidia cards, wonder why no one has any Primal codes on here to sell. I've been playing it on PS4 and you can clear a whole outpost just by riding a bear and sniping guys with your bow. 10/10 goty. Here's how the pc version looks- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5qOUY2FP8s

Fallout 4 = GOTY all year e'ry year.  Unfortunately the game breaks around level 20ish when you pump enough perks into weapon damage.  The explosive combat shotgun is the most overpowered gun in the game that will kill pretty much everything on Survival difficulty in a couple of seconds.  Items (chems, food, etc) are far too plentiful and even incoming damage is trivialized when you can put ballistic weave on your 'base' clothing essentially boosting your total damage resistance by 100.

But I suppose nu-Survival mode and mods will fix it!

Primal is bundled with Nvidia cards, wonder why no one has any Primal codes on here to sell.
Its only bundled with specific ASUS cards, so its limited to begin with. Its not limited to just NVidia either, some AMD cards (ASUS obviously) qualify as well. It may be possible to buy an ASUS card from Newegg or Amazon (which are offering the Division for Nvidia cards or Hitman for certain AMD) and then claim Primal via ASUS' site when that goes live if you have a qualifying card.

These won't be available in the wild unless it provides a code rather than a direct redemption via uPlay. Too narrow of availability and serial number of the card based. I imagine more promotions will start going this route in the future as well.

Nvidia is offering The Division, so thats far easier to come by.

EDIT: Yep, its serial number based

So if you buy an ASUS card you will likely be able to get 2 new games "free" with the purchase as long as you get one from a place offering the redemption codes for The Division (Nvidia) or Hitman (AMD) since those are branded promotions and this is manufacturer. Can't get Primal until March 4th though which is when the promotion goes live.

At least Far Cry Primal has Waterfall technology straight from future!
Is that supposed to be water or did Lara fall into that river and lose the tampons from her backpack in Rise of the Tomb Raider? (I assume the ultra-realism includes periods)

Is this sexist "joke" supposed to be funny? I found it really offensive.

Really I'd just buy it from Steam or a legitimate site instead of pumping money into those other types, especially ones that are codes taken from bundles. I normally would buy it on PS4 but I have a Steam gift card and will just get Primal there. I'll give my impressions in this thread in a few days after playing through it.

Oh Madjoki could 'come by' those serial based codes alright. He just doesn't bother with it for Ubi stuff because he's one of the the 'ewww cooties Youplay key!' team.

Aren't you the fuck ing idiot who just said you'd wager that most PC gamers are criminals in the Sqeenix deal thread? WTF are you doing here?
I don't have a problem with PC gamers who buy their games from legitimate sources. And like I said, I'd buy Primal on PS4 but I have a Steam gift card and since I'm playing it on Steam I'm going to be posting my impressions of it on this thread.

What's actually happened (and I'm pretty sure that the Primal site will get update soon to reflect this) is that ASUS caught on and are not requiring people to upload an invoice and date of purchase along with the serial info and verifying each request.

Happy, really glad they're doing something about the shysters who take advantage of these bundled codes. Hopefully this is one step towards shutting down the greymarkets for good.

I really have an urge to play the game this weekend, lol. Replaying Far Cry 4 in the meantime.

I think your stance is a little extreme though. Someone selling off a code they got from a GFX card is really different than someone selling something cross region (even though I still don't think those people will be going to hell for it either).

IMO, it's not. None of it is being sold in the manner it was meant to be. One is not more unethical than another and all hurt the publisher's in the longrun (imo worse than actually even stealing the games outright).

Did anyone win that verdun game from the giveaway?
Dang, I tried retweeting that picture and stuff on my phone but didn't know what the hell I was doing and so decided to figure it out on my pc at home. Completely spaced it.

At least I got my four for February:

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War

Warhammer 40k: Winter Assault

PoP: The Sands of Time

Portal Stories: Mel

All were great games, and if you liked Portal 2 I suggest giving Portal Stories: Mel a try. I had no idea what to expect going in I had just heard that it was fun and the production quality, puzzles, voices, everything really is just well done. My only gripe with the game is that some puzzles were hard not because of the mechanics, but because the surface you needed to portal to was hidden so that only like a corner stuck out. I guess that technically falls under mechanics, but when you're manipulating portals/bridges/lasers/goo/etc all correctly but can't progress because you need to shoot the corner of a panel 30ft away and covered by vines or w/e it was just frustrating more than anything imo. Thankfully that only happened 2 or 3 times. A solid 10 hours of portal greatness in a free mod, yes please.

I used to think it was sort of lame to hate hipsters, because they are just weirdos, and let 'em be and stuff, but then I saw a guy wearing Tidus's pants from FFX and a top hat, and I realized I could sympathize with people who commit genocide.

Out of jealousy of his Tidus pants you mean?

He probably already came by those codes, he's just waiting to mention it then "y u no wen".

Someone talk me out of buying 5 Deep Silver games from the build a bundle!  I doubt I would get around to play any of them and I mostly only want the metro redux games (wouldn't mind risen 3 or Sacred 3 even though I know I wouldn't play them anytime soon).

On top of that the wow token is lower than its been in awhile and I haven't played since October of last year or something so I'm tempted to jump back into that as well.  I should probably just back away slowly from my computer until the impulses pass.

Risen 3 is tedious and boring. Risen is the only worthwhile game in the series. Sacred 3... just put that money towards Grim Dawn during a sale.

Re: WoW, do you play on US region or somewhere else? The US token price has been pretty steady around 35k or so for six months. There's literally nothing to do, though, unless you want to pug raids for upgrades that will be irrelevant in a few months.

Sasquatch endorses Trump for president

I love Risen 3. It doesn't hurt that it's the best-looking game in the series. It must have sold like a turd though because the price dropped quickly after its release - I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's the end of the series. If you liked the first two games, you just get more of the same in 3.

The second one bricked like a heavy turd bricking down in the toilet bowl too. I don't even know why they keep making them really.

I play on US. The token price has been hovering around 37-38k for at least this past month that I've been keeping an eye on it. I want to resub and try to get a heroic archimonde kill for the moose while its available but my characters aren't great geared since I can't set aside time for raiding like I used to. Been toying with leveling up my mess of lvl 80+ characters sitting back on my old server that I haven't touched since MoP and before to get their garrison's going and try to make some gold off them while I can.

Despite all the negative feelings and whatnot that seem to surround wow I had some of the most fun I have ever had in any video game in wow. Raiding with a group of people you know and like is hard to top for me, definitely have some fond memories there. Its just so stinking time consuming. Doesn't help that WoD was very meh outside of raiding, and I didn't really raid for real at all.

Because I love them. I begged them too, really. I said "if you guys don't make any more Risen games, you're a bunch of Nazis". (Because the developers are German.) I hardly needed to twist their arms, though, since they lost the rights to the Gothic series and had to start from scratch again. Fun fact: Lena Headey is a voice actor for this series. If she didn't start her career here, would Game of Thrones have been masively successful?

It would have been more successful. Honestly having a voice actor from the Risen series is holding Game of Thrones back.

She only did Patty in the first game. After that they couldn't afford her, they Telltale did shell out for her to do Cersei in their GoT game. But Telltale has cash. Those krauts who make the Risen games not so much.

If it's game I'm going to play, I don't care where it is. And even then uPlay isn't the worst, because MS made even worse 'GFWL2'.

Could some of this not-so-spectacular stuff just wind-up in a much-more bad-ass regular Deep Silver Humble Bundle that'll be worth buying?

Personally, I think the Metro Redux stuff is the best deal here as you could get each of those for $3 - but that's if you don't own those already and actually can find 3 other games worth the $ here. And those are two major if scenarios there, though...

So obtaining something legally is worse than stealing?

Risen 3's biggest problem is it's being sold as Risen 3. The game offers nothing of much really new for actual game-areas & actual content. Even STALKER: Clear Sky was smart enough to not be called STALKER 2, since it did the mostly remixed game-world thing & was sold at expansion-pack type of pricing upon initial release. When numbered and sold at full-price, people expect new things and major changes - all of which Risen 3 doesn't really provide much of.

If Risen 3 was sold and labeled more so as an expansion-pack from the jump, it might've gotten a better reaction.

Sure, one can easily argue it's worth the $5 (or less if you buy more games) namely b/c you're paying for a game with a major discount. But, this is rightfully so, as this game should be discounted majorly - since it's more akin to that of an expansion-pack / Risen 2.5.
