PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I am being told that Cigar City may still have Hunahpu on tap through Tuesday. I didnt get to go Saturday but may go tonight if they still have it when I leave work.
Just go regardless and hope for the best. If they don't have that I am sure they still have a ton of other interesting things.

So where did you go this weekend? Or did the entire plan fall apart.

We went to St Pete Friday night and went to 3 Daughters Brewing. I had the 4 redemption quad. It was FANTASTIC. Also had a very good Belgian Blonde. Cool place. Then we went to Cage which is a new brewer. Had New Zealand Wheat. Good, not great. They had some other good stuff people liked. Then to St Pete Brewing and had Orange Wheat and tried something else I forget what. Good beers. Last we went to Cycle and I had a Cream and Sugar, Please. It was alright.

Then we had to drop someone off and I just went home so I didnt get too blasted. I still woke up with a headache for some reason and I had to work midday so Saturday was a miss for me as my friends went to Cigar City midday to get some Huna. I was still tired so stayed in Saturday. At cigar city they heard they would have it till Tuesday, but your right I think me and a couple people are going out tonight anyway so we may as well go and hope for the best.

Yea not sure why there is no android app for vue, only have the apple app right now. Sony makes android phones, youd think they would have made an android app too, hopefully they get to it.

My reason for going with vue is I have 2 ps3 and a ps4, so essentially 3 cable boxes if you will. Any cable company charges useless extra fees to rent their shit, that you basically have to have, we have 3 boxes from TDS and I think its like 30ish a month just for those, plus the cable service. So no issue to me using the 3 consoles I already own.

I have an ipad so can use the chromecast with it through that until an android app is made.

Would be nice if worked on vita/vita tv too but dont think that is going to happen.
I have two life time Tivos Premieres. They are a little slower then the current Tivo boxes but work fine otherwise. I have to pay $4.99 for each cable card. But much cheaper then renting basic boxes let alone their DVR/PRV. The 3rd TV in the basement has no box/Tivo. Almost never watch TV there but if I could use Chromecast and Vue I would at least have that option.

I forgot that there was no Android App. Yet another issue for me. I don't have iFruit products myself.

If they can support Chromecast and Android I might take a more serious look at it though. Another issue for us is my wife doesn't want to give up the home phone. So going to Vue and Internet only isn't an option. Doing Internet/Voice plus Vue isn't likely to save me much if anything.

I should be able to do the triple play for $100 and change for another year. Between Cablevision and Verizon I usually get some decent offers to switch or stay. Cablevision was recently sold to some French Telecom so I could see them being less of a real option price/service wise in the not to distance future.

I would do Vue in a heart beat if I could find good, fast internet anywhere but with Verizon. And they dont have NFL network it appears. BOOOO.

Anyway it doesnt looks like I would save more than a couple bucks with Vue and Verizon internet only.
You still haven't gotten a letter about being switched/sold to Frontier? Our office in Sarasota is being switched on 4/1. Should be a billing nightmare at the very least (no bill from either company for at least a month). Hopefully the service doesn't suffer at least.

I could switch to 50mb cable internet for $60ish/month (which is only about $10 more than I'm paying for 3mb DSL right now), plus $35-$45 for Vue. $100 a month is cheaper than what the cable company wants just for internet and cable, on top of the extra fees for DVR, $10/mo for each set-top box, and another fee for HD on non-local channels.

The only downside is I use my email address from the phone company for pretty much every account I have. I don't know how much of a hassle it would be to change it on everything. I think I can keep it for $5 a month as long as I have my landline.
Work little by little switching to Gmail or something like that. Then you can switch from DSL to Cable and back again as the deals come up.

Most craft beer people are saying things like, "Thank god they didn't sell to AB!" Honestly, with how Goose Island beers are now available everywhere with no drop in quality as far as I can tell, I am not sure I agree. Hopefully being partnered with Oskar Blues gets them a lot of the same benefits, but their product will never be ubiquitous like what Goose Island stuff is now.

I guess if I could go to almost any restaurant and get Jai Alai, that could take some years off my life.

This town is up its own ass about keeping things "historic". It's a huge battle for anything new to come in.
There is town about half way between my house and work. Same thing. Funny thing is part of the town has two concrete companies, a junk yard, and at least one commercial electrician (big work trucks). They fought to keep some gas station from becoming a gas station/dunkin donuts. They finally lost.

33% of pepsi with cartwheel, and another 5% with red card. Target cashier lady told me "You must really know target!"

Uh, yeah. Just ring me up please. No chit-chat.

Why no Teen Titans Go shirts for girls, Target? Huh? #sexist

Vue is very tempting.  My only hesitation would be the lack of Roku support.  But I've been looking to cut the cord for the last year or so, this would definitely save a few bucks.

If I switch to 50mb cable, there's probably no way in hell I'll go back to single digit DSL. It's functional now, but it slows down if I'm doing more than a couple things at once, like trying to watch munkyflix while I download a game. There's the reason I haven't downloaded the copy of The Last of Us that you gave me. Downloads are pretty slow even if that's the only thing going on.

They shit their pants here when a gas station added in Papa Johns and wanted to put a lighted sign over the Papa John's side of the building.

Yeah no way could I go back to DSL unless I lived next to the CO (and I kind of do). Verizon will not install DSL anyway.

I almost forgot who I was tallking to was going to suggest bring your PS4 to work and download your games there.

This weekend I setup my XBox and download 3 or 4 games. While doing that I was reinstalling Windows 7 on someones computer and doing 200+ updates. Not possible on DSL (at least not in a single 2 day weekend).

This was pretty much the same thing. Town board meetings, articles in the paper. I don't think they put up any fancy sign but more or less the same thing. I am like it is a dumpy looking gas station. We don't drive in the fancy part of that town much but last time we did we saw the new DD (that can mean several things). Looked MUCH better then the gas station which hadn't probably seen a coat of paint in 10 years.

Nice she picks where your birthday dinner is.
Well she thinks she did, im down for kayne prime, wanted to try it too.

catbird was mostly for me, but our birthdays are 3/11 and 3/21 so was kinda for both of us, only right to let her get her way this time.

Nice. I've been looking for Pepsi on sale for a week, so thanks for mentioning it. I'll probably run down to target in a bit.

My wife's bday and mine are 5 days apart. She got mad the first year or two when my mom made my favorite dinner and cake. I was like your mom can make WTF you want. She was not amused. My mom is a better cook. Her dad was a really good cook (Italian).

We usually agree on restaurants (and eat cheaper then you) so finding a place we both can agree to is usually pretty easy.

This dude is mad.
To be fair, people whining about not getting original artwork should jump off a bridge. They can spend a lot more on a new copy with original artwork if they want it so bad. Or they can spend $20 for the exact same game with the Nintendo Selects artwork that will sit on their shelf and never be looked at anyway.

Xbox is opening cross-platform play to all Xbox developers. This is a massive step in the right direction, hopefully Sony plays along just as easily!

https://news.xbox.com/2016/03/14/letter-chris-charla-idxbox-updates-gdc/

Cross-Network Play
First, in addition to natively supporting cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 games that use Xbox Live, we’re enabling developers to support cross-network play as well. This means players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.

It is in interesting dilemma for Sony here. They have the dominate lead. Do they think that it will keep people from buying Xbones to play with their friends who have one already, or see it as lost PS4 sales for early Xbone adopters with friends on PS4.

So wife talked me out of doing catbird seat again for birthday dinner this year. Even though its a new chef at catbird, she really wanted to check out kayne prime.

Really wanna go with the wagyu strip but holy cow that price. Will most likely get the wagyu filet.
If you are already planning to spend almost 40 and what you want is mid 60s why not just get what you want? I am not one to splurge like that at all, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to spend that much and be thinking I wanted something that in context is not that much more.

10z filet vs 8oz strip, filet is cheaper and bigger, and its filet.

I do love me a good strip AND its Greg Norman Australian cattle.

Good for them, Should make Cigar City an even stronger brand and make them even more widespread. The Redner's are getting rich again.

Would be awesome to play the division with my Xbox friends, just as an example. Would stop all my future dilemma of which system to buy for, and I won't have to ignore a group of friends. Really surprising move by ms, to me anyway, cause they've blocked this before.

yeah, i normally go out on Mondays yet here I am planning on going to not only a bar, but a taproom. On a Monday.
Taprooms are usually much more reserved than bars. You just have to make sure your eyes are not larger than your stomach. Find something you like and see if you can get a Crowler to take home instead of getting shitty there.

Yeah I don't see the harm in what I'm doing yet, I just know myself and don't wanna get to that point. I guess as long as I don't get to the point of scraping up change for malt liquor or cheap whiskey then I'm good. A good drink or two a day keeps me sane.

Yeah, I am not going to get wasted tonight. Two or three should be good. Im guessing I can get some samples of a bunch to try too. I am not into Growlers. I cant drink beer at home. Before I finish the second one I am passed out. I need to be out to stay awake while drinking beer.

what about people who complain about gamestop gutting new games? where do you stand on this hot button issue?

lol Facebook logins aren't working on anything at the moment.  Spotify, Cartwheel, Pinterest, your weird dating app probably.

Never had it happen to me so don't really know. Do they do this with all their new games? Or is it only when its their last one in stock and they give you the box that served as the display case?

Anyways, if everything was in good shape and included, and I was going to open it and play it anyway, I wouldn't give a shit. If it had the potential that I would resell it possibly still sealed, I would not buy it.

Guy does live pretty frugal, prolly why he is still and will stay rich.
I wouldn't say I'm overly frugal. I don't mind spending money to be comfortable as far as home furnishings and whatnot, but it's not like I'm going out of my way to spend all my money on name-brand groceries.

Off the top of my head, there are only 2 foods I've found where the offbrands don't even come close to competing: Oreos and Doritos. Everything else is either passable or I can't tell a difference. I buy mostly Kroger or Great Value (Walmart) branded stuff, and their stuff is actually pretty good.

Its because most off brand/store brands are made by the name brands. you pay for the name on most food. And they may switch one small ingredient that only food snobs (Gator) could determine were different or missing.
