This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

If you set SDA or Winauth up as a new 'mobile device' then you definitely can't use the Steam app at the same time and I don't think there's another app you can use, at least I haven't found one.

If you import the data from your phone after the Steam app has already been activated for mobile auth then you might be able to use both, but I can't say for sure as I couldn't get that option to work with SDA and with Winauth I believe you have to be rooted to do that, which I don't want to do with my phone right now since it's under warranty. :p

Ok, that's one game I'll rebuy on steam. I don't even regret my amazon preorder for the vita version, was worth it for the watch alone. Really hope they bring the first two games to steam. Every time I try to recommend 999 to friends they somehow don't have a DS/3DS or their DS is "broken"

 
I guess it pays to check Shitty Poop because I found extra Bernie Sanders Needs Love and Doom & Destiny Steam keys there. Which I promptly put up on Steamgifts. :p

It also reminded me to download So Blonde because Viva Media are too Blonde to put it up on Steam and you know, make a few dollars off of it.

Emulation kind of sucks for DS games, at least for that game. Always crashed frequently whenever I tested it, which is why I don't usually recommend emulating it.

lol you probably couldve changed the address for your preorder and sold it for a profit. y u cancel? Even Fox preordered that to sell the watch for profit, and had no interest in the game.

This. Those watches are worth a shit-ton after launch. I have a 3DS version and a Vita version pre-ordered, gonna hand the Vita one over to my younger brother and most likely sell the watch if he doesn't really care for it.

Anyways, don't forget that tomorrow is ShinyLoot's last day of operations, so get your Steam/Desura keys, redeem all your ShinyLoot keys and back up your DRM-free shit if you care about that sort of thing.

For those of you who are interested in DRM-free goodies, but didn't ever bother with ShinyLoot, I just finished backing up all my crap and I'm uploading it to Google Drive now. Just message me on Steam if you're interested in a definitely legal way of obtaining a copy.

Fair warning, the whole folder is 13 GBs (I have the Mac and Linux versions in there because I was too lazy to take them out). Thank god for the 15 GB limit. :bouncy:

It takes less than 5 mins (someone would most likely instantly offer for it). It's different when all you have to do is change the address on an order. Easy profit, very little effort.

I'd completely forgotten about So Blonde. I'm downloading the zip right now.

That said, there may be publishing issues with the game. It was distributed by multiple companies in various European countries, and you know how testy they can be.

 
I'm kind of glad the newegg thing didn't work, didn't feel like spending $2 on codes that will be worthless and I don't think I'd have the balls to ask newegg for refund again after Dirt Rally.

It works if you're in US. And it's still up.

But yeah, you need to redeem instantly or AMD is gonna revoke ashes codes or ask for GPU receipts.

 
Kinda bummed about not getting in on Far Cry Primal, but I know I'll buy it either way. The other one was on my wishlist and I managed to get an order through there ... we'll see how it goes.

Edit: was able to get my code and activate it on Steam. Now let's hope they don't try to revoke any of them.

For anyone thinking about Ashes of the Singularity, take note the minimum requirements:

  • MINIMUM:

My display is slightly below 1600 x 900, so it may have to go in the backlog (heh) for a while. Probably be bundled by then.

I have a few extra Far Cry Primal and Ashes of the Singularity codes I'd be willing to sell at cost, but there's a catch. You need to be a Steam thread regular and convince me that you haven't bitched about me posting freebies/deals/giveaways (including some of my own giveaways) and haven't complained about me taking free games. You'd think this would be an easy requirement to meet but there are plenty of CAGs on here that bitch about nearly anything, so I think it's best these codes go to people that show appreciation rather than shit on the people contributing on here.

Yeah I thought that was odd. I wonder if you have to deal with any verification BS when you order it now. Haven't seen anyone test it this late. Either way, I'll sell them at cost to eliminate the hassle of making a business account lol.

There's also the hassle of making a new AMD reward account too (if your old account exceeded the redeem limit). I've redeemed all of the AMD codes so I have steam keys for AotS.

It's a shame that on the rare occasion people do post a deal (or glitch) in the DEAL thread, they end up getting a lot of stick for it. I'm pretty sure that no-one here is posting them to annoy or provoke others.

Madjoki, spoder and anyone else here have no obligation to post these, yet I see them replying to negative responses as if they have to explain themselves. This is why other members keep the spicy info to themselves. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle.

And no, I didn't get in on any of the glitches, nor am I that fussed :)

Let's get some positivity in here :D you ungrateful fucks.

Really though, two things.

One, Spoder, thanks for doing this for folks.

Two... Ashes of the Singularity is published by Stardock, so uh, if you can wait a few years, you'll be able to pick it up in an Indie Gala or something. I think. :p

 
I don't seem to have a shiny loot user account but figured i should make sure...  Is it related to groupess or its own thing?  (I've seen it has its own website but I've seen them mentioned in connection to each other so many times I sort of thought they had some sort of business relationship with each other.
