PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Apparently there was a big controversy in the Overwatch developement when they revealed a victory pose for a female character that (gasp) showed she has a butt. It has since been removed by Blizzard

The butt in question:

Outrageous!

Nightmare is sporting the sexiest trophy card in the history of trophy cards!

Where the fuck is my HD remaster of Burnout Paradise?!  I would pay full price ($47.99 after GCU) for that shit day 1.

I do want to play Bloodborne but feel like I need to revisit Demon's Souls and then try Dark Souls 1 and 2 first. I realize they're separate series but feel like I'd have trouble going back to earlier iterations since they're so similar.

I'm happy to see there's a PSNP guide for Demon's Souls now. There wasn't last time I looked. 50 hours for the plat doesn't sound too bad.

I'd recommend doing Bloodborne first, actually (that's what I did). The combat is faster and gameplay systems are much more straightforward overall (none of that world tendency nonsense that I've read about but don't understand), so it's easier to get into (and not quit after a few hours). Once you get immersed in Bloodborne I think you'll find it's easier getting into the earlier ones. The slower combat will take some getting used to but you'll adapt after a few hours.

The one thing I can recommend that took me forever to figure out (I feel stupid in retrospect) is to constantly level yourself up once you have enough souls/blood. I would keep on trying to push forward and check out new areas and permanently lose souls as a result. As soon as you have enough to get to the next level, turn around and go back to level up. Rinse and repeat and you'll find you are staying alive much longer.

Cool, I'll do that then. And yeah S&S has the same approach to leveling, as do a few other games I've played over the years so I'm used to that. One game I played and loved at the time had you get "pinned" which is where if you've gained enough experience for a level up, you can then gain enough to be 1 point short of a second level up but you can't get further experience after that. So if you're in the dungeon and you pin yourself you're basically just collecting loot at that point until you return to town, level up, return to the dungeon to get an extra experience point (since you were 1 short of a second level up when pinned), return to town, level up again, then go back to the dungeon as normal. That aspect of the game was a pain in the ass.

Not sure if anyone here cares, but the PS4 version of Dragon Fantasy Book II that released earlier this month shares the same trophy list as the prior PS3/Vita versions, so you can only get the one plat.

Pretty sure that's required for cross-buy, isn't it? I know one dev said that a few months back, though I can't recall who offhand.

Edit: Actually Sound Shapes is cross-buy but not a shared list so that's wrong too. Anybody remember who said that? It was discussed in here IIRC.

No idea what you are even alluding to. Never googled anything, found the two reports on a news website.
Pretty sure he was alluding to the fact that you live in TN and are from KY, therefore you have sex with animals.

I could be wrong though since he didnt Kilik his post.

Pix the Cat was cross-buy but it has separate trophy lists on PS4 and Vita.

On that note, WHERE'S PIX THE CAT 2?!?!

You missed the edit where I said Sound Shapes is another exception and asked if anybody remembered which dev made the claim about cross-buy and shared lists being linked.

That's pretty much the case for me too but if I can get a cheap GOTY version (Mordor was like $16 digital and bought with 40% off credit) I will take advantage.
Same for me. Every once in a while MS will do a decent sale on the physical games from their store which if they are cheap enough I will take advantage of.

Minecraft Story Mode Deluxe and Adventure passes are on the store now.

Adventure pass includes the new episodes 6-8 for $14.99, the Deluxe includes all 8 episodes for $39.99.

That's lame. It has a new title and everything, I thought for sure it would have a new trophy list.

I don't remember that conversation but it's possible.

That being said, there is no point to look for consistency with trophies. There are literally no hardfast rules about them.

Yeah they said in the comments of the initial blog post that it would share the same list. No reason was provided. Bummed they didn't just patch the changes into the PS3/PSV versions but that's what Remote Play is for, I guess.

I didn't realize MotoGP 14 was cross-buy PS3/PSV and has a separate trophy list for each version. PS4 is separate too but isn't cross-buy for some reason.

It's a weekly sale, not a flash one, remember? But those prices really do suck.
Yeah somebody on reddit linked it with the flash sale caption and so I used the same word without thinking about it.

Huh? I (and several others) bought the Vita version in the last flash sale, but I still see $19.99 for the PS3 version.
Oh...dammit. I was looking at the download list. I hate that they list every Vita game with a PS3 tag. Every other game on that list page was cross-buy so I didn't even think of that.

I'm not a huge horror fan either, but I will always watch the classics. Alien/Aliens, Misery, The Shining, The Thing, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Halloween, The Fly, etc.
Mainly just not a fan of gross out horror.

Don't let Guardian fool you. Aliens is plenty scary.
Or you could watch Galaxy of Terror, a Corman rip-off of Alien, which was itself something of an unintentional dry run for Aliens as James Cameron worked as a producer and a production designer on Galaxy. You can see several aspects of the future Aliens in many spots of the film.

Tyler's still playing it, but I think he said it was pretty good.

What shit prices on this sale. Mgr good at 750?
It's OK, I guess. The two best pieces of DLC from that pack are free by themselves (Blade Wolf and Jetstream), but if you plan on using the other cosmetic bonuses and/or the VR missions (its trophies considered controller-breaking-ly difficult on PST.org), it isn't a bad deal.
