It's always great to see a game that's sale price is $90. Especially since I assume that it just includes the $50 season pass while the game has been on sale of $30 several times lately.

The Oman deals led me to be so paranoid, I unplugged my Xbox from Live for a week and just deleted the document with all the username/password info for my alt accounts so I can never log in again.

Now I only have my alt US account that I have used to legitimately buy games with promo money (remember the reebok shoe thing?)

Yea. Since they refuse to put the season pass on sale by itself, I was hoping for a decent deal on the "ultimate" version to go with the movie home release tomorrow.

No I'm not in the market... I'll be getting a physical copy. But you're right... more power to them and they are actually doing purchasers a favor by saving them over $20. I was just thinking of Buying a copy for $60 and wanting someone to take on over half of the cost. On the flip side, they'd still be saving money over if they got it retail. Silly me

 
Oh wow, second week of nothing good on the One sales. Not that I can really afford anything after the spring sale, but was hoping for at least one thing to make me want to splurge again, this is just really terrible though.

Some of us are only charging 30, and considering we're the ones paying about $5+ in tax you'd be getting it less than half price at that. What's the problem with doing that? It's a game bought at less than half price on day one. Seems fair to me.

Sorry for a newb question, but how do you find these deals on the xbox store?

I honestly feel like the store is so random and inconsistently put together that they don't want sales. I do come from the PSN store, which is getting worse as time goes on, still has easily dividable sections for deals and new and add ons.

I can't find crap in the Xbox store. Both on my Xbox one and the web based version, I try to see the deals, ok, click the sales and specials section right? NO, you get directed to the fucking "Hey GWG is great, look at me I'm $299, there are sale worth $700!,...". Who in the hell designed this? I go to the Xbox one games to see new add ons, good luck we have there arrows to move game box art along horizontally...

I know I'm going to be called out on that rant and everything I complain about will be proven wrong, but christ mate, I'm so irritated right now.

Most people just use Storeparser to find Xbox One updates and XBLDB to find 360 updates.

As for actually navigating the store, I don't think anyone's going to disagree with you. Personally I find navigation on Xbox.com more manageable than the XB1/360 Dashboards, but even that isn't saying much.

Can you guys give me some of the reviews you find to be the least biased? Was reading some of Quantum's reviews on Metacritic and people seemed to give it a 100 to a 30. Just wondering which reviewers you guys have found to be pretty accurate, I know I usually like Hardcore Gamers reviews.

Been reading reviews for Quantum too, not seeing the appeal myself. Everything I've read basically says it's a mediocre shooter with twenty+ minute choose your own outcome tv show cutscenes, and where you should hunt down every scrap of paper and emails to get the full story within the story. Easy pass for me. The whole 20+ minute chapter cutscenes sounds like a pain to have to sit through. What if you don't have 20+ minutes just right then to watch? Or having to stop playing to watch a tv episode sounds like an annoyance to me as well. Meh...I'm guessing folks that like Telltale type games might like the choose your own divergences gimmick though.
 
I have some time off, so I preordered it and will beat it than sell it on ebay. What I don't understand is all their games are very story driven experience. I don't understand how some reviewers gave Alan Wake an 80 then gave Quantum Break a 40 and the reviews say pretty much the same thing, lol.

It had it's full launch like two months back on PC and it was horribly lacking on the multiplayer side. SP was better but still fell well short of what was expected from the series. What's there was perfectly fine but Dirt 2/3 were amazing MP games but literally one track with a few variations, one mode, and limited settings made for a really hollow experience.

I'm really enjoying Quantum Break. The shooting could definitely be tighter but the time elements really make the combat shine.

They're pretty easy to use and perhaps too liberally shelled out considering it's still early in the game (a complaint I've read in reviews that I agree with). The AI is not great and there are some odd glitches here and there but it's still very cool in motion. And despite all the time powers, it puts up enough of a challenge.

I haven't yet made it to the first TV episode and am too tired to continue tonight but I'm anxious to see how that folds in.

And one more thing, the graphics are amazing with some of the best character models I've seen in a game.

So far so good.
 
Wait... someone on Reddit said that there is a 45GB day one patch for Quantum Break.  Wow.  That pushes the game to over 160GB if you got the digital and downloaded all of the episodes

Patches don't add to the game size unless it's completely new content (like Destiny's DLCs)

I wouldn't expect that whatsoever. By the expected time frames for games to be added, Rory McIlroy is 1-3 months late (nearing 9 months since launch). Titanfall was well behind the other games (15 months), and Dragon Age: Inquisition was on the late side as well (added at 9 months). So, it could be 2 months. It could also be 8-12, depending on how badly they want to push game sales vs. adding to the potential Season Pass customer base.

You skip the TV scenes, if you don't want to see them. If you want to watch later, you go to the menu that lets you start them at-will.

I pre-ordered the digital version. I loaded it days ago, and played an hour and a half just now. The game size is 45.7GB. There was no day one patch for the digital preload.

it's a 4.5 GB day one patch, and if you got it digitally, obviously there's no extra patch to download.

Just finished watching the Act 1 show. So far I like the story. The collectibles are fairly easy to find and flesh out the story/universe a bit more. Once they introduce a few powers, things get pretty fun. Reminds me of Mass Effect 3 biotics.

 
I love Microsoft. Everytime they have a shitty sale I wait for the next week's ones thinking "they can't do worse than this", but they still surprise me.
