This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

I also tend to use it for sale shit and not to fakey the flavor of the week so they probably don't scrutinize my shit as much.
I suspect that getting previously cleared might get you an easier pass. No proof, of course, but it would make sense.

All this other nonsense makes me glad that I don't much care for the Dark Souls franchise.

I just wish my birthday voucher (27%) worked on the deluxe at GMG.  It is working on the base now, I might just do that and get the season pass later?  Probably my best bet I guess.  Also HI CAG.  I have been busy.  And sick the day of the Ashes of the Singularity glitch, actually saw it but was puking too much to try to get it.  Actually wanted that one too, but alas.  I will get it on sale long before I would play it anyway.

Deal talk so forgive me...

Killing Floor 2 6 Pack is on sale via Steam and GMG...  Normally its not that good of a deal as Wingamestore does KF2 50% off at times...  but the APR20 code works.  So you can get a 6 pack for $80.36... or $13.40

Granted.  You would need 5 friends to go in with you.

So remember this RPG Maker 'developer' who basically bought positive reviews to the point where Valve actually stepped in, deleted all his reviews and told him to cut it out?

Well now he released a 'deluxe' version of his RPG Maker game and now it's on the front page as a 'new release' again.

Oh, and I tried playing Dead by Daylight last night and couldn't get into a game.  Granted, it was late, but we would get a full lobby and then it would look like it was loading and then kick me back into the main screen.  And don't even think of playing as the killer because the queue for that was so long you never had a chance.

So far, it's basically Damned with a slightly (very slightly) different premise and less variety. That's from watching the tutorial vids since I never got to play.

Wait we have a Rainbow Six Siege night?

Who bought that game? or was it "why u no bai wen $1 or $0.01?
It was something like that. AMD Nvidia shenanigans.

I didn't really want it but then Drabes had an extra and was all icky poo yooplay and so I took it for free.

I have R6 Siege and played some hours, but I'll lag A LOT playing with you guys because my region. And believe me, you need a good connection on that game. If you still haven't played it, watch the tutorial videos first, those will give you some points to unlock a couple operators... and I recommend you play terrorist hunt first.

How bad do you lag? DukeEdward plays with us all the time and he lives in Kiwiland. He does lag sometimes, but usually it's passable.

how AshotP lost a sale for his GG master

p.s. Got 2 copies of DS3 from Putingate for cheap to play with friends.  AshotP has been slacking off...  :D/

I am thinking of picking up the SteamLink. Does anyone in here have any expereince with SteamLink? Is it worth it? I have an Alienware 17 (iGeForce GTX 980M 8GB). Its a great gaming machine, but it would be nice to be able to play the games on my HDTV. The fact that I can use my wired Xbox One or 360 controller is a nice bonus. I was just curious how the performance was. Any stuttering or lag? If anyone in here has used it, I would appreciate your thoughts on it. Its only $50 and I already own the conrollers so its not like its a big investment.

u could just connect your laptop's HDMI/Display port into your HDTV and play it on your big screen

I've used it. But before I get into it, I want to reiterate what agentghost was saying. You have a laptop, you should probably just plug into the tv with it.

But as far as performance goes, it's great. As long as you have an ethernet cable running from it to the same router your pc is plugged into. Over wifi, not as great. Definitely lag and lower fidelity. But as long as you're hard lined you are golden. 60fps, 1080p. If there is lag, you won't be able to notice it. Also it's not just wired Xbox controllers. I've synced up my ps4 controllers with it over blutooth easily. The only negative to that is that most games that have controller support will give xbox button prompts on screen.

Don't have SteamLink.

I have my desktop PC hooked-up via a HDMI cable to my HDTV - and yeah, that plays great. I bought a cheap $7 (when it was on sale for that) 25ft HDMI cable in a sale from NewEgg.

You probably could get a much shorter HDMI cable than what I have & just physically move the laptop closer to your HDTV & hook them up real close to each other, as well. Doesn't seem like you're worried about wires too much, as you said you have wired X1 and 360 controllers.

I've done Steam connect to my TV via the Shield controller and also to my Windows Tablet both via wifi so I'd imagine that is more or less similar to the Steam link. Both of those seem to run well for me, but it's kind of YMMV on the wifi thing depending on how decent your wifi connection within your house is. If you have a decent one or will run a wire to your Steamlink then it should be fine.

I remote play my computer via a USB mouse and keyboard I have plugged into it. The computer sits a few feet away, and I rarely press any of the buttons on it anymore. Not sure how I lived without remote play for so long!

I don't get the Quantum Break buzz.  It looks like a crappier Max Payne.  Does Remedy do anything other than bullet time third person shooters?

Bye Nosgoth. Maybe you can bronight this one before it goes away. I played a few hours and was very fun
Nosgoth was actually very fun, so it's sad to see it's shutting down. It's been kind of obvious though that the game wasn't making enough money for them to care about it for a while. Psyonix pretty much shifted all of their focus away and onto Rocket League when that became a hit and Square probably wasn't happy paying for the servers to a game with so few players.
