awesome thanks man just used hola and got both games for 6.40 haha kick ass super cheap and they both activated on steam...btw i did read somewhere that hola steals or shares your bandwidth is that just while your using it..cuz i'd literally be using it for about 2-3 mins to buy the games then turning it off..or does it somehow work in the background..
Yeah it's basically just bandwidth hogging that was the big controversy so if you don't use it long it shouldn't be an issue.

You still want to be careful when sending any passwords over hola. If possible try to shut it off at the last moment before you do that (you used to be able to turn it off when the Paypal login window pops up; not sure if you still can) or if you must transmit passwords over Hola then try to enable two factor authentication. You can do that with Paypal.

thanks man for all the tips :) i did transmit my password over hola :(..haha maybe i should change my paypal password to something every time i use hola then change it back to my real password when im done lol

Hola admitted that, while you have it active, they can use your bandwidth for other purposes.  For one thing, you're acting as a portal for your geographic region but they can also sell it to people for bot nets and stuff like that.  The obvious solution is to only use Hola when you need it instead of leaving it on.  I actually used to have Hola on a separate browser so the only time that broswer and Hola were running was to use the VPN.

When you use Hola, your info is going through the system of some native user in Brazil (or Russia, etc) so they could potentially skim your data.  Don't use it for any sensitive passwords and/or use two-factor authentication as Motoki suggests.

[MOTOKI INTENSIFIES]

I wonder if I can get ImALittleBear (the VivaMedia Steam rep) to give me Steam keys for all these games. :p

"...everyone's favorite chart-topping hits..."

I'm Casey Kasem and welcome back to the Grandma Top 100. Motoki writes: "Dear Casey Kasem, when I was seven I had a hamster named Winkles. Winkles and I would play every day together until one day he fell down a heat exchange duct and I never found Winkles again. I'm eight and a half now and still miss him. Can you play a hidden object game about hamsters?"

Nah he's useless. Don't even bother.
Seriously though, I saw this and thought of you. There were a bunch of granny game packs at the flea market today, but this is the only one that had more than four games on it, heh. I'm pretty sure there's going to be repeats between the two of 'em, but I don't mind.

Nice @ WWE 2K16 PC at 50% off on Steam. Dropping quick - hopefully, this trend continue. Hopefully, soon enough - it'll hit 75% off territory.

I've got already like 135.4 hours on 2K15 PC.

Stellaris is finally available for pre-order, can get the base package for about $30 on GMG with watch25 promo code. Also have the other editions if you are one those nerds who has to have everything and thus pay 10-20 dollars more for worthless crap.

Not even kidding on worthless crap, the Galaxy Edition that's $60 (without discounts), comes with an ebook, a "digital collectors book," a forum avatar and icon, a signed desktop wallpaper, and an exclusive race (aka cosmetic dlc). Oh and a soundtrack, which if you want the soundtrack from a Paradox game...well there is no hope for you.

Granted, they're all from humble, but still...

As someone who games on every platform and has been doing PC gaming for about 20 years, I find the master race bigotry endlessly amusing. Especially all the jumping through hoops for dogshit shovelware activation codes. But most amusing of all is the stockpiling of Steam cards to sell for pennies while talking trash out the other end about people flipping physical games for good money. It's really funny.

Yep.

Pffftttt... you guys and your new games.  I finally got around to picking up Dragons Dogma.... fairly decent.  I think I played it at some point somewhere but don't recall how.

Are there any other shooters on PC that's similar to Overwatch and is pretty good? I'm not getting Battleborn next month and is there anything that comes close to Overwatch? I feel like playing something similar to it now at least until when the open beta is live on May 5th.

Speaking of Battleborn, I played some of the open beta last night. It might be more fun in group play, but solo was really pretty boring.

At least it stopped me fakeying it. That's a good thing I guess.

WTH is w/ every online shooter doing an open beta or free weekend in the same weekend?

R6 Siege, Battleborn, and Doom MP all at once - ugh.

We did R6 Siege on wednesday. Fox usually isn't available on weekends so I dunno if we're scheduling it again for this weekend. Don't really care about betas so I'll pass on those
Yeah, I probably won't be able to play at a scheduled time. But people were interested so maybe they would show up tonight?

My monitor won't turn on/off with it's pushbuttons.. but it's hard to switch because it's a 27".  And I don't feel like I want to downgrade.  But I also don't want to put in 300 bucks right now.  I saw a b-e-a-utiful monitor the other night, super wide screen (for dual cards), IPS, 4K.  500 bucks.  So much for it.

I also don't trust refurbs especially refurbs of unknown brands.
