Opera Browser has added a free built in VPN service. Article on TF, Article on Lifehacker.

Not sure if this is enough to get me to use it... Opera always felt like the least user friendly browser since mosaic. ...definitely will try it out.

The Free Vpn service is worth $7/year.
Opera has a lot of built-in stuff, like BitComet and other P2P file-sharing features and auto-reloading. I don't use it because it's almost too bulky. I mean, I enjoy having some of these features, but not necessarily all of them, and if a third-party has done it better then I'd rather use that than the built-in Opera hoodoo.

Edit: I'm also not one of those kewl kidz who change their Chrome themes to custom fonts and backgrounds of anime characters (we all know Fox has MLP stuff on his).

I also used to be the same, not using it because it felt bulky, but since the vpn announcement i have given it a shot. So far for me it feels like it loads and goes to pages just as fast as chrome for now

I have your mom as my chrome theme with a pony costume on and then a fox costume on top of that. And Foxhack is doing thangs to her. Nasty thangs.

My mom doesn't like MLP. She wouldn't even buy me a dakimakura for Christmas! I call shenanigans.

Gamesplanet has a Bethesda sale coming this weekend, starting Friday at 9am. I'd post prices but who has time for that shit.
Let us know if there's a "pricing error" so we can buy it and take advantage of a 20% off "apology discount" that works on everything at first and then is slowly excluded until it's only good for Postal 1 and Bad Rats at MSRP.

Dear Steam,

I have no interest in VR games.  Please include an opt out for them in the Queue.  Thanks for wasting my time and Queue space.

ppl who are "not interested" in VR are either poor or haven't tried VR yet :whistle2:

(put on flame-proof sunglasses and banhammer-resistant armor due to potential hurt feeling of internet strangers and ensuing mod alert) :D/

Honestly, what Ubisoft said about temp banning players until a fix was in place on that Division stuff is a pretty typical response from a lot of MMO devs (even though the Division's not a real MMO). The only people who usually get riled up and angry about it are the people who are abusing whatever exploit.
The problem with this was that till recently Ubisoft/Massive have (at worse) promoted their games via the glitching (Bullet King) or fixed it and moved on (Hornet Challenging, Police Academy). This time they waited 30 hours before making mention of banning people, tried to patch it and failed, and turned off the weekly rewards (but this only hurt the honest players) as the glitchers just rolled their system times forward a week or back a week to get the weekly rewards again.

And the really sad part of it... The Falcon Lost incursion glitch is the third major glitch all spawning from the same underlining issue. We're talking about either complete apathy or incompetence on Ubisoft/Massive's part for the incursion glitching.

Anyhow, back to banning people... by the 30 hour mark of rampant exploiting most people had given up as it took them weeks to fix BK and Hornet so so the bulk of the player base had cheesed the incursion just so they could live long enough in the DZ to get stuff done.

I'm assuming elite, at least in this case, means Russian mafia?

I just signed up to the mirror's edge catalyst beta and got in

I deleted the email once I realized I had to sign into origins.

Opera was awesome until Firefox and Chrome made it obsolete. I used Opera long before those two had stuff like tabs, mouse gestures, etc. Opera mini was also crazy fast compared to Chrome on Android.

I hate when I think I clicked on the Steam thread but CAG takes me to the wrong thread and I have to read some stupid post about grabbing the last copy of Sonic the Starfox 4 but leaving behind 4 copies of Gears of Halo 12.

Does anyone here have any expereince with Steam Link? For just $50, I am very tempted to buy one. Just curious about the overall performance?

And a gazillion other movie rentals. For fuck's sake, now we have to wade through pages of this shit AND VR crap?! Nice going, Valve!!!
I'm just happy knowing that when I finally fuse with my computer chair, Steam will be able to provide for all my entertainment needs. I have positioned my computer near a window so I don't have to move to get my Dominos delivery.

What you expect us to uncheck boxes now? What's next our blood?
Oh yeah that's right we only check boxes in exchange for the shittiest games ever made. The skill used to uncheck boxes aren't a part of that.

Only noobs click on that Gleam shit. The rest of us use a plugin. Someone just needs to write an uncheck the VR and movies boxes on Steam because I'm too fucking lazy to plugin.

There weren't nearly that many when I first noticed these.

They're off their goddamn mind if they think people will pay $4 for a thirty day rental... ah who am I kidding, they'll rent these and like it.

Next time we can't find a replacement game during bro night we'll just rent a movie and stream it on twitch for all the bros to watch.

If people will shuffle their fat asses over to a walmart and pay a big red box a couple of bucks to watch a movie for 2 days then they will pay for this shit as well. Poor bastards will probably think they are making out like a bandit.

Dominos? Wow, I can't believe there are still people out there that actually eat that pizza. I ordered one like 6 months back as it was late at night and they were the only pizza place by me that was still open and it was honestly like eating cardboard with cheese on it. My advice, buy Jets instead. Just a VASTLY superior pizza all the way around.

New shitty bundle, but if you play their "game" you can get some free steam keys for Cloud Knights, Defend your Life, and A Bird Story.

https://macheist.com/bundle
Actually the bundle is pretty nice if you don't already own those games. Fez, Braid, Gone Home, Prison Architect, Super Meat Boy, Deponia, and To the Moon are all great games. Its just expensive for a bundle ($20 to get everything).

I've never eaten cardboard with cheese. I think I'd prefer Dominoes.

havent most of them been in bundles with other better crappy games for like $3 a crack? Seems like a terrible bundle to me even for someone new to steam

They've all been cheaper. Braid and Super Meat Boy were part of HB4, with Steam keys available for a penny.

Also known as that one time in 2011 when we all pennied HB for games with achievements that gave coal rewards we could craft into games, so HB added the $1 minimum for all future bundles.
