This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

An open back headset would probably work for you. You still get stereo sound but they don't block a ton of outside noise so your wife can still yell at you.

I use a HyperX Cloud headset and can still hear my wife talking to me when I need to. This particular one is probably out of your price range, but I imagine you can find cheaper decent open-back ones.

Edit: (Actually, my HyperX Clouds might be considered closed back, so maybe don't look at those. Although they don't fully drown out outside sounds.)
Sound also goes out of the open ones too. You can ask my wife.

People in the Quantum Break thread are saying they got a second Windows 10 code after the previously had already got a different one before.

Looks alright though I don't do Kickstarter anymore. One thing I noticed is I assume that you choose all your cards and place them in a 3x3 in the beginning? (Edit: I saw you get 9 random cards) I did see all the abilities and stuff too. I thought this was going to be like a Hera and Zeus type game or even a Nature of the Beast 3x3 area control game. I do like the art, though I'm not sure I like the choose a card and then choose any other card on the opponent's side and they clash...guess it plays a bit like memory then? (Edit: I see you strategically place them kind of like stratego or such...still not a fan of i choose your random square....I don't like that battle part that much). I guess I just like it more when you build up your field as mentioned in the 2 games I referred to, which I enjoy both of them. I am picky about video and board games in general, heck half of my posts on here are my thoughts on games I'm playing and it's usually dang i'm bored or this is terrible or average or such. I do wish the best for your friend and I likely will watch the Kickstarter video (just read the page) at a later time.
This is more strategic and features Hera( and probably Zeus at some point).

You have more leverage than you know. You should seriously consider offering not to post for set lengths of time in exchange for free games. They higher the value of the game, the longer the amount of time you would go without posting.

Soooooooo the Sega Genesis games on Steam are getting a free upgrade in a week.

We're getting a more accurate emulator (allegedly), and a 3D frontend that simulates a kid's room. And we'll be able to load Steam Workshop mods for most of the games. (Apparently the Sonic and Toe Jam & Earl games are not moddable. Guessing Sega of Japan and whoever owns the Toe Jam & Earl games doesn't want them modded legally. I dunno.
Hooray about the emulator improvement, but I hope there's an option to disable the stupid 3D kids room. I liked being able to scroll through the attract screens, I just didn't like having to scroll through the whole library one at a time.

Open headsets are rare as hell, if any exist. An option would be a pair of open headphones and a cheap standalone mic.

You used to be able to route a mic to your headset. I used to do that in my MMO days. I'd have headphones on as usual, but hear my surroundings through my mic.
There are open back ones out there, but after looking all afternoon, the majority of them are expensive as all hell. It's been a while since I've done any headset research.

Sennheiser makes quite a few. These are the most affordable that I've found.

Some girly visual novel about dating some Youtube assholes I never heard of decided to release only on itch.io and not Steam even though it got Greenlit.

http://asagaoacademy.com/post/143125212831/april-21st

That’s right! It’s finally here! Asagao Academy: Normal Boots Club is officially releasing tomorrow, April 21st, at 10AM PST!

Thank you so much for patiently waiting and supporting us all this way. We cannot tell you how incredibly excited, nervous, and relieved we are to finally be finished.

However, there is one last bit of bad news: Because of the nature of the project, we had reservations about some of Steam’s terms of service. We are so grateful to have been Greenlit, but we have chosen not to upload to Steam.

Instead, the game will be released on itch.io, and can be downloaded directly from there.

Thank you so much for everything, and gosh, we hope you like it!
What the hell does that mean exactly? Is this porn for girls or does she have some other weird ass last century reason like omagerd DRM! Clients!

Not that I was going to play it anyway, and it's free so eh, but really lame vague ass reasoning.

it's bad enough that we have good developer with horrible sense of business but this.. romancing a Youtuber is just purely terrible.  And where is the developer's sense of business when they got Greenlit and chose NOT to go on Steam?!?!?

On the high note, less trash coming to Steam, I guess

Honestly that game seems less trashy than a ton of the crap that gets greenlit. Really surprised they didn't throw some cards, backgrounds, emoticons and a cheap price on that animeish thing for some constant income.

Thanks for pointing out Santorini. It's now on my boardgamegeek wishlist. It's a bit too expensive for my budget right now though, but I can see myself adding it to a purchase when it goes on sale after release or something. It looks fun and simple but not stupid simple. Lot of depth it seems.

Oh Hells yes!

Age of Barbarian is coming in one month.

Dark Souls 3, YOU DIED.  Well the first playthrough and worst ending anyway.  Since I not only fakeybroed it but also played it until I cleared it, do I have to leave the thread in shame now?

My sleep has suffered greatly the last week or so.  Greatly.

And now I feel compelled to look at a guide and do all the right things to get the best ending.

So the lag is so bad in the Division this morning that its lagging even on Google Fiber.

If you're wondering why or how this is happening...  Well, so many of the players are using an exploit for damage and credits that its basically crippling the severs.

Blame Bah. He chose the server. Probably choose a hacked one since he did better than me for once. Or more likely he's spent every waking moment practicing since the last time.
