This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Hate to complain about a free gift card...but holy crap they don't sell very much on their site. I might wait till memorial to see if there are more sales.
They really don't. A lot of the stuff is "Look for a store" since it's not sold online. But I'm in the market for a monitor and the $50 makes it more attractive to take the plunge and call it an early Father's Day gift to myself. I need to go home and check out the model/stats on my current one though and make sure I'm not inadvertently downgrading somehow.

Got my $50 GC, will likely throw it towards a 24" Monitor for $80. Haven't decided yet.

My current monitor is a 22" Acer that only does up to 1600x1050
I don't know what your budget is and whether you mind a scratch or two on the casing of your monitor, but if you were happy with your Acer, I recommend:

http://www.acerrecertified.com/Scratch-and-Dent

They have 23 and 24'' 1080p ones as cheap as $63 and 27'' ones as cheap as $96. I've seen the 27'' ones as cheap as $80 if you are patient.

Some people did get duds, but most people on SD reported getting ones with no issues in the screen and minor scratches on the casing.

I say it's a price mistake 90%. It's not just only that the price got a 50% off but also some region on steam store got 66% off. And if you check gamesplanet UK/DE you will see then game is on sale at a discount of 50%.

Too many coincidences.

Edit. My theory died :( Gamesplanet MSRP got fixed, so it seems its intended to be like it is on steam.
I was half right. I can still trust on my female instinct.

Yea I'm thinking about just grabbing a FlashDrive -.- or the U headset or w/e the hell that thing is. But gratz on the $50.

Bleah. I have a 17 year old and a 5 year old. I'm going to spend half my life raising those things... they should at least give me a monitor!
First chance they get, they will stick you in a retirement home, where the orderlies will be instructed to brutalize you at every opportunity. Happy Father's day!

Looking at this gen of consoles compared to the last, maybe it's rose tinted glasses for me, but there isn't much that has excited me at all about this gen of consoles so far. On PC there's always a good deal to be had.

I bought a cheap 360 from warehouse deals to play with a buddy and there's so many things in my download history I'm excited to replay, whereas there's nothing on my x1 or ps4 I want to try in the foreseeable future save for Uncharted 4 and Persona 5.

Look on the bright side, at least you have definitive proof that you had sex 17 years ago and then 12 years after that.

'Cause I typically don't replace my monitor until it actually stops working. The one I have is probably pushing ten years old.
This is my current monitor, by the way. So the one I was thinking about seems superior aside from an 8ms refresh vs 5ms. Casual reading online suggests that it ain't no real difference and more of a placebo effect ("I can feel how laggy this one is") than something people could detect in a double-blind test. Plus, I'm not competitively playing Counterstrike or anything anyway.

But, hey, now you can go "No way man! Here's all the reasons your thinking is stupid!" and I'll dun be educated.

Sacred 3 early impressions:

This might not be worth $1.  Controller based hack-n-slash with almost zero variety in between characters.  One dude is ranged, the other four or five are all melee.  They all have one generic basic attack and two special attacks.  All of the special attacks across characters are essentially the same -- some form of AoE/wave explosion to kill a lot of enemies.  Mechanically speaking this is a very VERY shallow game.

You're going to wait until the weekend to masturbate?
What you never hold off for a couple of days and when you finally do it again it's suddenly super awesome. I mean stuff just goes everywhere. It's like a fricken fire hose spraying everywhere.

Oh Chthulu no, that would make me set the house on fire and walk away.
Actually, in the Navy on the carrier we used to have these DC olympics... (Damage Control) looked very similar. People who didn't usually do that for a living did it as fun. It was pretty fun actually. Trying to stop pipes leaking using clamps was a blast. Only thing I wanted to go to Sub school for. But... you know... I'm not dumb and wanting to be on a sub with like 100 dudes for weeks at a time.

Re: Sacred 3 Looks like there are different power skills that you unlock as you level.  Each character has three or so per slot.  They still don't seem terribly unique, though.  You can also upgrade your weapon/armor but it's mostly 'do more damage or knock down enemies' type of stuff.

In case anyone is interested in figuring it out before the pick a character, this guide breaks it down: http://guides.gamepressure.com/sacred/guide.asp?ID=26175

Hmmm.

The guide says I should go back to Sacred 1 Gold + Sacred 2 Gold...

...That made me chuckle more than it should have.

Sacred 3 is roughly .30 in the first tier of the latest humble bundle.
Did not even notice there was a new Humble. There becomes a point where you have to decide is the $1 even worth it because you own everything else in the bundle. I think I will pass, because I own everything else and don't really feel the need for another backlog game.

Free On The House from EA Origin now is...

Battlefield 4: Final Stand DLC.

And even if you do NOT own BF4 base-game - yes, you still may add the DLC to your account for FREE...just in case you buy BF4 base-game later or if EA is cool enough to put BF4 base at some point OTH. :)

Might as well add the DLC anyways. [shrug]

+1 Origin-game DLC.
