The Crew actually improved dramatically with the update that came with Wild Run IMO. Far better than that NFS shit fest (which admittedly isn't saying much).

The previous gen versions have the Nemesis system, it's a core part of the game. The difference is that on newer systems they process orc activity in the background whereas on last gen it processes changes while loading (traveling, respawning, etc).

I bought it for ps3 because it looked so cool and I didn't believe it could be much worse than the new versions. Bad move. The textures and graphics are muddy, and since most of the environment is brown it just looks like a turd smeared on the screen. The worst offense is when it does the little on the fly cutscenes for orc fights - the audio cuts in late and off time, the models glitch and lag around, and it just looks horrible. In combat you will also get slowdowns and missed frames, which destroys the counter based nature of the action. Oh ya, every single time you enter the menu or map is takes 1-2 min to load, and switching between the map and orc screens is really useful for figuring out where to go - what fun that you get that loading time every time you switch screens.

Trust me, it is a horrible, horrible port and will only frustrate you. Just play Batman or AC until you get a new system.
 
Played through Xcom when it first released on PC, and actually playing through Xcom2 now (it's fucking fantastic if you were wondering). Really enjoy the series and can't recommend enough if you are into turn based strategy.

Also to the person asking about Banner Saga, it's like Oregon Trail mixed with a turn based strategy RPG. The combat isn't as deep as a lot of strategy games, but it's definitely one of my favorite games from the last 5 years. I bought Banner Saga 2 on PC because I didn't wanna wait for XB1 (I also beat BS on both X1 and PC)

Thanks for clarifying. I have it on X1, I just remember reading a review that said something about previous gen not having the nemesis thing. Maybe they said it wasn't done as well. And now that you mention it, I also remember them saying the 360 version looks and runs like complete crap.

I think it was you who told me before to stay away from the last gen version, but I couldn't remember why. Thanks for reminding me. It looks like a very fun game, but I think I will pass just by your post right there. By the time I get an Xbox One, it should be pretty damn cheap.

Anyone knows if Asuras Wrath would include the DLC (the extra chapters that show the actual ending) or if they were ever released on X360? there is no listing for it on XBL but they are still on PSN

If you've not yet upgraded, then the 360 performance will be suitable. Even after I'd upgraded, I played the 360 version (haven't played XB1 version though) and thought it was a fun game. I'd say I put around 20-25 hours into it. There's a ton of stuff to do in the game so you won't get bored if you mix it up. It can get very repetitive if you aren't creative with how you go about your business.

The flaws in the game were minor to me, but I'm not sure how picky you are. The two biggest issues were (I think it's called...) texture pop in and loading time. When you load into an area or approach a tower, it's a solid blank wall for a few seconds and then it becomes rock/bricks and actually looks like a tower. The second issue is the load times felt really long. Even for a simple inventory check you have to sit there 5-7 seconds it felt like. Again, minor to me.

I'd say it's worth $9.99, but probably no more than that.

It's wonderful being able to see my 360 backlog without having to turn on my 360.

Most of the games I want to be bc, aren't yet. Lollipop chainsaw, shadows of the damned and a few others.

The games I have that are bc, I've barely touched. I'm happy knowing that they're there, I just haven't had any urge to play them.

Edit: Azura's Wrath is another one I really want to go bc. Thanks for reminding me, dude up above.

11/40 games that I would like to see BC (ie I haven't completed them yet) are BC.

However, only 44/110 of my total digital library are BC according to my collection on Xbox.com. Most of these are GWG titles that I have little interest in playing though so it doesn't really matter.

Bully is great, one of my favorite Rockstar games, but not much replay value after you've completed it 100%. For the price it's still a steal.

Outlast is still in my backlog, can't comment.

Slender is one of the scariest games ever... at first. The gameplay got monotonous by the second level, and I became immune to the scares as I ended up running around in circles around the level looking for the objective, and eventually gave up. You know how all games now have collectables? That's the whole game. Obtain the collectables to move on to the next level, but Slenderman is stalking you while you try to find them. Though he becomes more of a nuisance than anything as you get frustrated looking for the last thing you need to move on.

I have a strong opinion on Slender because it's one of the only games that actually terrified me in the short time I played it. No other game except for RE1 on the PS1 did that for me. But they blew it. Eff them. Eff them in the ay.

Bully is one of Rockstars best games imo. There really isn't any other game like it, it's pretty unique and fun. For $3.74, you can't go wrong.

I beat it twice, originally on :ps2: and then the :360:. Ended up buying it again on :ps4: (ps2 port).

 
I played bully and have it at 99%. I missed one mission at the end. Hell no I'm not playing that game all the way through again to get to that one last mission. It pisses me off eveeytime I go through my achivenments and see that sitting there at 99%.

I missed one feather and had to get a guide and go through each one one by one to find it. It was like 500 in. It sucked. I go through spells where I have to get a game 100% then I'm like I don't care about achivenments....so then I just start blasting through games. Then I'll see them with only 20-30% achivenments and buy the stupid game back and grind it out again. As I've gotten old I care less about achivements and multiplayer. I'd rather not spend time grinding a no longer fun game. I'd rather just move on to another and try to lessen the backlog.

This sounds just like me for instance I'm that way with skyrim .I own the game digitally but yet to start yet since i know that game requires shit loads of free time and thats time i dont have anymore.
 
For anyone on the fence about TMNT. It's pretty cool. Rented it after work and beat it in like 4 hours. Definitely only a rental... But it's fun while it lasts.

I've played the 360 version of the game the most and would say it holds up just fine. Not as pretty as the X1 version, but it was still a great game. (Personally I didn't really miss the nemesis system, especially while I was low level!)

edit: saw captbrannigan's later comments: for some reason when I played the X1 version it seemed like the Nemesis was hunting me down on the map and I died quite a few times on the X1 while learning the ropes. I didn't notice that when I later played the 360 version, maybe as I was slightly more skilled. Re performance issues, I've realized I'm not too sensitive to screen tearing, pop-in, and other graphics artifacts that people mention about games. I've played Mass Effect 1 three times through, and never noticed any issues that people always complain about with that game. ymmv.
