It's not just a BC title, it's a port though, not a remaster, there's a listing in the new releases on Xbox One but it's not available to purchase

I see what you're saying. But why? What's the point? Why not get the 360 version so you can play it on both consoles? It looks to be the exact same game. I see no advantages, and I'm sure if it were available separately, it would be more expensive than the 360 version, which goes on sale frequently.

I was hoping for more BC titles added today but what can ya do.. Scorpio is quite interesting if it's priced right. I wonder if they'll introduce a package version with the Rift included.

It will be eventually, but at first Activision is counting on the sheeple buying the new game. It will look really bad if they split the games and have the old one outsell the new one. Expect it to be standalone around Christmastime.

On a side note, after watching all these games being shown, am I the only one that is chafed by how many of these games are utilizing bows and arrows? Like cooooome on, why shoehorn that in everywhere? It's worse than when the Katniss trend was a thing. Give it up already.

 
So.... I was watching the Sony conference and was like.. holy balls I need this game wtf is it... AND THEN I REALIZED IT WAS CALL OF DUTY. I never thought I would ever say that again in my life... but I have. Wowzers. I will actually be buying it day one probably if they can pull the multiplayer together as solid as that demo was.

I need more gameplay as proof. Call of Duty games have a history of picking the one ugly duckling level from the campaign to use as the gameplay reveal, to show people "hey, look, it's different this time, guys." Call of Duty: Ghosts did that. And Advanced Warfare. And Black Ops 3. It's usually the first level in the game, or a short "interlude" level they throw in the middle of the campaign.

Honestly, it looked like a bit of Titanfall along with the Halo Reach space level (I can't remember the name) thrown in for fun.

 
I jumped on Hardline from the MS store a few weeks ago ($9.99) and I see that it's $4.50 right now digitally.  I'm going to go ahead and buy it (obviously), but I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts about BF4?  I haven't traditionally enjoyed Battlefield games (although I liked Bad Company 2, and I do like all the CoD games (with exception of the titanfall ripoff and Advanced Warfare was marginal). I really enjoy the story mode of CoD.

Any recommendations on whether or not to get or skip BF4 would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

 
Apologies if this has been covered, but is the EA Access free play currently working? The app is prompting me to join and the individual games all have prices, so I'm not seeing how to play free this week. I just updated to the newest preview update. Is this a casualty of that update?

Believe you me. I get bored to sleep watching and even playing Call of Duty games, but as I was watching the game presentation, I was like "what the heck is this and when is it coming out"? When I saw at the end that it was Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, I was like "No freaking way". This has definitely got my attention. I never thought I'd live to see the day that I would be impressed by a Call of Duty.

It was done on purpose that way. They didn't show a single CoD or Activision or IW logo anywhere and the beginning of the game had no FPS gun action for that reason. They want to distance themselves from the heat they got during the first trailer reveal.

I don't care about Sony at all. I'm annoyed by the specific games having bow and arrows, one of which was shown at MS's conference (Scalebound). That one looked even stupider because there was no visual feedback whatsoever when the super annoying main character kept firing his weak little bows into that giant monster. It made zero sense to me as a weapon choice. Just like when the little kid firing an arrow at the giant troll was supposed to kill it. Seemed to do no damage at all to Kratos when he ate that arrow instead.

Kojima is one of the few people in the industry that has earned that sort of intro. He's usually pretty humble, I think this was build up from all the Konami bullshit.

Sony was on FIRE the whole show, aside from the necessary Skylanders. Even Lego Star Wars was hype because of the orchestra.

 
Is anyone else having insanely long load times to log in on your 360? I'm not sure if I need to update the hardware or if the hardware is being phased out.

Date night dilemma. I tried out Rocket League while it was free and had a lot of fun. Do I get it on sale now at a whole two bucks off or wait for the physical release of the collector's edition? The CE claims it includes a bunch of DLC, but it looks to me like it's free DLC already in the digital version anyway except for the Batman car, Deloreon and a flag pack which are $2 each. Any Rocket League pros want to chime in?

The MW remaster never even crossed my mind ATT the game was so good. But, yeah, Activision, unfortunately, make the business decisions, not the games, and mostly those decisions suck. I mean we have to spend up to $180 to get the full Destiny experience as of the upcoming expansion. But I will still give credit at what the devs at Infinty Ward have done with this new game. It's not everyday that I get intrigued by a Call of Duty.

Considering this was the hotness last year put the year before as well and then went through a development quagmire and changed devs multiple times now I wouldn't expect much from it until it proves otherwise.

Pretty sure I said that multiple times already. The difference between HDR and 3D though is that it's mainly just an expansion of the color space and how it's used. So unlike 3D there's no extra stuff to buy or a TV that's twice as expensive and not every TV has to have it to proliferate the technology. Sets that don't have the color gamut or local dimming but support the HDR spec will still be able to play the content with a reduced effect even. There's really no reason why it shouldn't become commonplace in a few years.

I'm not a pro by any means, nor do I have all of the DLC, but the DLC seems to be cosmetic and the game is perfectly suited for digital as it's great for a quick match or two (or three).

Did anyone bite on Trials of Blood Dragon? I don't know. It could be hilariously fun. Or stupidly horrible.

I do dig both Trails and Far Cry BD. Not sure if I want to take a $15 risk on it though.

If you have the right team, even if you're losing it's still fun. It's when you get paired up with the ball hogging jack asses that it get's aggravating - I'm talking about the people that go after and hit the ball, no matter what. I've lost so many matches because of people like that.

But I still don't regret buying it at full price.

 
I think the most disappointing part of E3 is no news about a new Uno. 
 
Gamebattles has (or at least had when I played) a rule where you cannot be in party chat and must use game chat. I was cleaning the other day and found the cheat sheet we used to communicate with each other. For example "I saw 42 bees chasing a duck", meant green, red, blue. "I'm in a sticky situation with ducks" meant that I only had blue cards left.

By some miracle, the Canadian version is actually CHEAPER than the US version!

Or you can just, you know, buy a 5TB external HDD when they go on sale for around $100 and get the 500GB Slim model and have alot more additional space as opposed to just 2TB.

It's not gonna be hard to find...they're replacing the old models with this just like they did it with the xbox 360 line. They'll probably make a black version at some point to replace the white model but I think that's it.

 
Sony wins this year. Lots of new IP's, Detroit: Become Human looks sublime, and they focused more on games rather than expensive accessories and new consoles (that comes next year). I'm also envious that they got Crash Bandicoot back. Death Stranding's trailer was so hilariously over-the-top and vague; I don't understand the Kojima hype. But I give Sony credit for their big titles not having a number at the end of the title.

I'm still not buying a PS4 though.

The problem is that lots of those new IPs have no release dates. Sony did the same thing last year. Showed off a ton of great games, but not many with release dates (not even "season year"). At least this year they were a little less vague about which games are exclusive. I still have friends that think Kingdom Hearts 3 is exclusive from last year's show.

I did like how Sony showed gameplay demos of a few that did have release dates. The demos sold me on a few of them if I ever get a PS4
