This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Well to be fair backlogging wasn't really an option when I was a kid. I blame it on lack of money and the tons of spare time.
All of that and having to drag my ass out to a store to buy something or wait for it in the mail or whatever always seem to discourage me from buying more shit than I want or need.

I would make a terrible consoletard, though I admit I do have shit backlogged on PSN. I think I'm one of three people who buy games there since console people are still all Ewww cooties digital and haven't moved into the digital age of enlightenment yet.

I would backlog more crap there but their sales usually suck, like worse than the Steam sales we all say sucks suck, so I mostly just backlog 'free' PSN+ games.

Funny enough, this summer the PSN sale has beat Steam on a few things. SOMA is $12 on PSN and was only $15 on Steam. Not a great price either way.

See, that's why you console plebs were inferior.  Even back in the 80's I had a backlog of shit I never played.  Buy pack of 200 floppies from a computer show, paper punch them for double-side capacity and fill them with elite warez from seedy BBS's (usually weird ass games from Europe).

Their was that Stories game too which I only found out about because someone posted a separate thread about it being a good deal on PSN. Then the army of people riding Frisky's dick raged at him for daring to start a new thread about something that's buried in his text wall.

I guess the thread got deleted because the army of Frisky compained to mods or something but it's still up on Google cache. :p

Like all great hegemonies, the pc master race appears to be on the decline. Historians will write tales of the pioneering sales pushed by the forth by the platform's overseers, and bards will sing epic ballads of the bundles that were bestowed upon the common folk. But most of all, time will remember Valve as the dominant dictator that became overzealous and over confident. Or whatever.

The problem with PSN sales is they have no competition (Amazon just price matches and Best Buy/Gamestop do not give a fuck). About a month ago I posted on the PSN sales thread about how Sony should open their plataform and let other digital outlets sell PSN games and everyone went bananas. I'm not huge fan of PSN because not only most of the discounts are usually crap but the download times suck major balls, I just prefer to buy a physical copy that it's gonna be cheaper on sale and I'll be able to trade if I already finished the game and don't want to keep it. The worst thing that could happen to console gamers is the dead of the physical market, if PSN sales suck right now, imagine how would it be if Sony had control over the whole market through PSN.

I don't even buy PS games anymore (I own a PS3 and never cared to buy a PS4), the last game I bought on PSN was Okami HD and that was like a year ago.

Enforcing average price minimum
As we do with individual games, we have a minimum price for bundles to cover base transaction costs. This minimum wasn’t enforced until now, so it could be that some bundles that were previously visible and purchasable are no longer available to customers at their current price. As detailed in the Steam Bundles documentation, bundles will appear to customers in a currency as long as the average price per item in a bundle is at least the equivalent of $0.50. If the average price per item in the bundle is lower than that (due to discounting of individual items, the discount applied to the bundle, or due to a specific currency being much cheaper) the bundle will not be visible to customers in that currency. Information about which countries your bundle is visible in will be shown on your bundle administration page.
RIP cheap games.

Played a few rounds of The Golf Club with Reds303 & Vooyah this afternoon.  Good stuff, looks nice enough for something made in Unity (although it does suffer from some tree pop-in when the camera moves), and has an acceptable amount of shot control & shaping.  Shots are a simple right-analog stic pull & flick, similar to Tiger Woods, but without any power meters, which adds a little difficulty especially on the putting greens.

You can play live multiplayer with friends where you all play at your own pace, or against ghost rounds from the friendslist leaderboards.  We all had a blast and will probably be playing more in the future (so shame on all you jerks who didn't buy it during the sale).

Can't wait until it's in the LEGENDARY BEST BUNDLE STARS EVER bundle on the 13th.

This person is charging for this? Wouldn't it just be a slightly modified version of idlemaster?
I wouldn't be surprised if it's a modified version of Idle Master or ArchiSteamFarm.

In fact, I'd be very worried, since both programs can be easily modified by anyone with programming experience...

I know that's the running joke around here but I don't see how it would be a better deal than this considering there would almost certainly be some $10-$12 tier.
Yeah, I know. But I also know with certainty I'm not spending $9 of real cash on 3 games I'll never play.

When one or two of them hits a $1 tier I'll be happy.
