The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) or Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) is a trade agreement among twelve Pacific Rim countries. The finalized proposal was signed on 4 February 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand, concluding seven years of negotiations. It is currently awaiting ratification to enter into force. The 30 chapters of the agreement aim to "promote economic growth; support the creation and retention of jobs; enhance innovation, productivity and competitiveness; raise living standards; reduce poverty in the signatories' countries; and promote transparency, good governance, and enhanced labor and environmental protections."[5] The TPP contains measures to lower trade barriers, such as tariffs,[6] and establish an investor-state dispute settlement mechanism.[5][7]
You're all a bunch of MysterD's today.

That lead to surprisingly good news... Valve giving the middle finger to EA and Disney... Cannot say I'm surprised.

Edit: Never mind. Looks like I went to a link inside of it and started reading it.

Reverse the 9 and the 4.

Edit: error on my part.  Should be good now.

2nd lowest it has been. It's also on Amazon for PS4 for $19.89 through a 3rd party. Maybe a larger drop will happen soon.
Where I am, the console versions have gotten better discounts than the PC versions of TPP. Konami is an odd company to say the least.

I'll file my wait under the same category as the Divinity Original Sin deep discount that can be found outside a random Walmart.

Who is shocked that some 3rd party person was trying to sell something on Steam and was shocked that the Licensee's aren't going to let them?

Seriously.

NOW... here's what I'd do.

I'd release this game with all crappy skins.. and then put the "good" Star Wars skins as a user generated mod. Wa-blam! Same game. With all the legal-ese.

Glitch. Doesn't seem worth it tho.
Since when is "the entire game is animation and scripting free" a feature in the product description instead of a sentence in a negative review?

It seems the rumours of Desura's demise have been slightly exaggerated. I was able to log into the website this morning and view my collection page.

In celebration of this fact I would like to present this Desura key for Laxius Force:

NPW7L-LVHDN-WRAMA-3T4T4-XMHY4

No jokes about how it should be called "Laxative Force" for being a Groupees bundle regular please.

Anybody else get Ultimate Arena revoked? I think I got it from some gleam giveaway or something.
They revoked keys from abusers who got more then one key or like that.

apparently someone took 13 keys lol

(mine wasn't revoked)

I wasn't sure of that part. I don't know if they revoked from all people who took more than 5 or just 1.

13 isn't that much to be honest..I would expect a higher number having trump as a possible emoticon. They probably didn't know.

Damn Fox, back at it with the refurbished hard drives!

Newegg has these for $29.99:

HGST/Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 HUA723020ALA641 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive

Seriously awesome deal and I'm tempted to get more when I don't even need them.  I mean, you could get a sick RAID set up going for a fraction of what it would usually cost.

Anyway, ready for the "I wouldn't trust a refurb hard drive with my porn let alone something less important" comments.

I'd use that to hold the game files for my Steam games - as long as the games didn't store their save data or such there.

I wouldn't trust that refurb with my amateur porn videos of your mom, let alone something more important.

To be fair, I don't think the drive is big enough to hold the videos. Wide-angles take up a shitload of HD space.

It'd be easier if you just watched her in realtime with this:

You'll definitely want a RAID array for when those refurbs start failing!

Well, if you're going to put anything important on it yes. But if you just store Steam games on it, then not really. And again, these are server pulls so refurb is deceptive. They are more like used.

What is more secure? Having a new drive with no back up? Or having these set up in RAID? Serious question. I've had new drives fail on me too.

With clouds nowadays, I keep everything important on the source media (say SD cards for cameras and phone pics) and then I back up to computer (usually two different drives), external, and the cloud. So using these refurb drives isn't super risky for me and keeps down the costs. I think your money would be better spent on a quality external and a good cloud service than paying full retail for HDDs, but that's just my opinion. Now if you have money to spend on all of that and new HDDs, then by all means do so!

I agree, I just wanted to jump in on the HDD comment train!

Judging by reviews on Newegg, every hard drive ever fails more often than they work. Luckily I've never had one fail.

yeah, all that video I took of your mom is too precious to trust to a hard drive used as hard as she is.

I got that drive a couple weeks ago from newegg (they had the same $30 deal as ebay at the same time). The drive I received had a power on count of 24 and ~20000 hours used, which seemed pretty good compared to what people were reporting on slickdeals from the ebay batches. Tempted to get another one.

Yea this is how I plan to use it - just an installation/backup drive for steam games (data that you can afford to lose but is otherwise nice to have backed up in case you want to replay something). I back up save data for all games to OneDrive -- sometimes the saved games are in the Steam files folder but the vast majority are either in AppData, My Docs, or similar.

Is there actually any worthwhile content DLC here for TPP?
Seems like multiplayer DLC for the most part. There is Ground Zeroes, the stand-alone prologue game, which seems to be important. No comprehensive single player DLC to be found here. The game seems to be allergic to a deep discount at the moment, unlike its release date compatriot Mad Max.

Since when is "the entire game is animation and scripting free" a feature in the product description instead of a sentence in a negative review?
Since poor quality "wacky physics simulators" flooded the market, following the popularity of "Surgeon Simulator", "Goat Simulator", etc. Apparently, there are small numbers of people that actually buy them though that tiny trend seems to be dying down.

Also, I'm not sure about that claim that it's scripting free. Though I haven't worked with the Unreal 4 engine, I pretty sure that you still have to handle controller/keyboard/mouse input, draw the UI and from what I saw in the trailer have some basic AI for the whoever is shooting rockets at the player. They probably meant that they only used the Blueprint visual scripting system, without writing anything with C++, which kind of still is scripting.

I hope this "Definitive Ed" is likely just a repackaging w/ everything content-wise only and is NOT also a graphics/gameplay remaster...
It was out less than a year ago and was a pack in with the 970. There's no reason for a remaster. Its not going to be that and "hoping that its not" is foolish.

I would hope it's just a game case with a picture of Revolver Ocelot and "Revolver Ocelot" written under it.
With a slipcover that is mostly clear but has a slight border and has "Revolver Ocelot" written on it where it overlays part of the case.

And then band that slides over the slipcover that says "Revolver Ocelot". With a sticky note on it saying "Revolver Ocelot".

That's be Definitive.

RE: Refurbed HDD

Isn't the MTTF on most drives like 1,000,000 hours? I've never had a drive fail on me, but then again I don't think I've used a drive for more than 10 years before I've upgraded to a bigger one.

I just got this via email.

Dear INMATEofARKHAM,
We have been informed about a class action lawsuit settlement with NVIDIA regarding the GTX 970 graphics card. Newegg is currently awaiting details about the settlement claims process (instructions, website). Once we have this important information, we will send you a follow-up email with the specifics on how you can submit your claim.

If you have any questions regarding the information provided in this email, please don't hesitate to contact Newegg Customer Service through one of the convenient contact methods provided here.

Sincerely,
Your Newegg Customer Support Team
Truth be told... It was already well known that it wasn't a true 4 GB card when I got it so I'm shocked I'm getting anything. Then again, not every consumer has a MysterD to inform them of such evils on a regular basis. :)

I'm getting nothing because I'm European/Finn, racism at best.

We don't even have class actions or small claim courts, so it's impossible to sue any one too.

Yea I got it too. Its class action so anyone who has a 970 is getting it as long as you got it from a retailer and not person to person. Its supposed to be $30 but Id not be surprised if Newegg gives store credit.
