Ok, this is weird, but my download queue is acting funny.

Simply put, I recently replaced my XB1. After I got the new system home, I queue all my games for download.
It downloaded half of them, and the rest are sitting in queue with no progress and nothing downloaded, and has been like this for a couple hours.

I queued a new item, it downloaded immediately (Castle Crashers HD), but then the rest of the queue sat doing nothing. What's going on?

This is cool. I hadn't heard about it. How are 'Rare Achievements' determined? Are developers tagging a subset of their defined achievements as rare, or is MS just determining rarity based on how many users actually received an achievement and it's 'Rare' if it's under a certain threshold?

I hope this leads to completion percentages on the Xbox platform like Steam and PSN have. Having that and the ability to see how far you are away from receiving an achievement would be the best of all worlds IMO.

The threshold is 10% I believe.

May be they were stopped at some point?! If you stop/pause them manually you'll have to start them manually. Do install now on each of the queued items and the queue should start chugging at that point. If it still doesn't then you have an issue.

I had this problem a few months ago. It was frustrating because nothing I did short of stopping the download and restarting it worked, and that only worked sometimes.

Oh, didn't know that. So it is a weird problem then. Did you try stopping all the downloads, deleting cache and hard-resetting the console?

Well, you used past tense so I'm assuming whatever the issue was, it is now treated and the console is healthy as ever?

I might have restarted the console (maybe ven hard reset it), but at the time I didn't know how to clear the cache (still don't). I think the problem cleared itself after the next system update.

Speaking of system updates, someone mentioned that some consoles in the Preview Program stopped receiving the Preview updates due to a reason. Is there a link somewhere I can read on that? There might be a conversation or two on Reddit but work blocks that website.

I got a shit load of rare achievements with Marvel Ultimate Alliance since they were still over priced at $45 for the combo pack. Sadly, I got the 4 player co-op achievement last night before this update dropped. I think more then half the achievements are under 10% right now.

If you want to grab the rare cheevos just look for games that hardly anyone bought and/or played for more then a few hours. I know Thief was another one, granted that game is trash compared to the old ones.

Fun fact: You can also get rare achievements on the 360 as well, sadly the sexy music doesn't play.

just had a redbox charge for 77.99 from the 7th of last month,they said we rented the games not bought em and are trying to fight us about it wtf and of course the person barely speaks English smh.

they said i rented em and didnt return and charged me 69.99 for Transformers my wife pissed at me like its my fault.

Yeah, what you really want is games that a lot of people start, but few people finish. GWG is ideal for this since you've got people trying out the free games, putting it on their card, but then maybe never playing more than a few minutes.

Is the rare achievement thing only in the preview right now or a general release? Do the achievements stay marked as rare after they've been unlocked (maybe changing if their percentage rises above the threshold), or is it just the pop that's different?

I had the console set to turn off after 6hrs of inactivity... when I turned the console back on it would start downloading a different game.

There are multiple games which are only a small percentage downloaded...

We just had a 2hr net outtage (Which means the whole BC cloud bs I was bitching about last week is justified) so I turned off my console.. when I turned it back on.. it began downloading again.

then they say the receipt shouldve said it was a rental and keep in mind today was the first time i got a receipt for any of the 4 games i purchased and it was a charge for 69.99,i bought Until Dawn on 8/31 still no receipt and Battlefront on 9/7 still no receipt fuckin bullshit.

$15 off of $70 so $55 for Transformers im fuckin sick right now smhhhh.

to top it off because the customer service is in India they act like they have no clue nor care what a Labor Day sale was.

oh and i got them to send receipts for my other purchases i made since i never got em and theyre in plain type like she just typed em up but the one charging $77 had pictures of the games and everything can  you believe this shit LOL.

Yep, I've seen shit like this happen a few times.

If the machine has a connection or power outage, it may not send the information that an item has been returned to the main database and screw you over.

Other times I've seen people put the disk in wrong.. the disc goes in and will be spit back out a few minutes later, but the person returning it has walked away. So anyone could just take the disc and keep it... I've had to put the disc in for a few people in my time since honestly what you're going through is a major fear of mine.

I've been minorly screwed over by redbox a few times... and I had to fight tooth and nail to get something OTHER than "Free rental credit" from them.

Specifically, I rented Battlefront and what I got was a photocopy of the disc.. the system read the scan code as legit and accepted it as a legit disc... so instead of refunding me the money, they tried to give me a free rental.

This also happened when the closest RedBox in town was broken, and I had no way to return the disc so therefore I was getting an overdue charge or two.. even though I proved it was broken with photos.

Redbox is already enough of a pain in general that it would not take "a few times" of getting screwed over for me to be done with them. You and I clearly have differing tolerance levels for their hassle.

I've never rented from a Redbox before, but I did jump on that $8.99 Nathan Drake Collection last month with no problems so far.  But after reading all of this, I recovered my receipt e-mail from the deleted folder just in case.

Y'all making me paranoid.

I've given my examples, when they work they work....but they have horrible customer service measures in place.

I am also one of those people who fights tooth and nail when they feel they've been cheated or ripped off..

The Goliath Circuit, a race around the perimeter of the map, is unlocked by getting Byron Bay to level 5. You can use a blueprint to set the number of laps - whoever mentioned it earlier said they did it with 10 laps, but someone on the Horizon forums set it to 50 laps for a 9 hour race. Helps to also have an XP Boost Horizon Edition car from a wheelspin. I haven't won one of those yet, but I got a Skill Boost one. The longer songs on the classical station really come in handy with skill songs.
