I might hop on. I haven't played Rocket League in months and I keep forgetting to pop in for the Halloween event. It all depends on how much I rank up in Overwatch since I'm trying to get those Halloween items too.

 
I got all excited for Skyrim special edition and now I have no idea why since obviously the original skyrim will be much better for the foreseeable future until SSE's modding catches up. Audio files or whatever don't really matter since the special edition is the inferior version for now

 
Is the Vive worth getting at this point? Found one on AWD for $593, heard the Rift is superior now with the Touch controllers though. Have a PSVR and while the experience isn't PC quality, the games themselves and support from AAA devs is promising.

Probably b/c LE owners got this new SE for nothing - that's always exciting. :)

The real question is this: how long is Skyrim SE going to be inferior?

Who knows - SE could possibly take a long time for gamers to warm up to; or hell, it might never make ground. Who knows.

For many, not enough mods ported over is the main reason to avoid SE. For me, without SKSE, SkyUI, and Quickloot - eh, I'm probably not going to use this new version much. Those are my essentials - and without those on SE (or anything similar), "meh."

The benefits of SE with an improved engine (with more graphics features + fixes) and a 64-bit EXE are there.

It'll be a while...until script extender is rewritten for 64 bit version the special edition won't be worth playing comparatively speaking

I went from PSVR to Vive and it's fantastic. Touch won't be any better really and may end up being worse and more of a system hog.

I'm enjoying the Vive controllers far more then the psvr's move controllers.

Both the PSVR and Vive headsets have it's pro and cons, the obvious one being the Tracking is better on the HTC VIVE and room scale while the PSVR offers a headset that is far more comfortably and does not weight a ton on your head.

if you already own the psvr I see no point in buying the vive at the moment unless you have money to throw.

Tried it out for a bit, biggest improvement is in the loadtimes. Initial load is about 2 seconds, and individual cells are even less. We'll see how that changes once the load order is plugged up with all my nudie mods.

 
Yes indeed, load times in the new Skyrim are great. But yeah, after loading a few mods they were even worse than the original with dozens of mods. I didn't put in the work to figure out which mods were the major culprits, but it was bad enough that I just removed them all.

And on an unrelated note, I'm using the impeding Comcast Datacap Crisis as an excuse to fakey a bunch of crap today before the caps hit. Titanfall 2 and BF1, here I come, I come, I come, I come!

Just saw Inmate buy this so good time to remind people that The Haunted: Hell's Reach is on sale for $1.79 or $4.99 for the 4-pack.  

Fun horde shooter with some cool melee mechanics.

Game had been abandoned for a few years after the THQ thing, but the devs are back in control and planning a sequel.

I've only ever played it through solo and then on bro nights. We never had any problems getting a game going during bro nights, but as far as other people who play it, I am not sure about that.

 
How long does it take for Fallout 4 to pick up? Been trying to convince myself to go back to it but after a couple hours I wasn't getting into it =/. The changes with leveling didn't seem as bad as I thought it'd be, but early yet.

Yeah it's probably dead if you try to play it with randoms. The horde mode is only 4 players max anyway, and the team deathmatch mode doesn't seem to work correctly (we tried and it lagged horribly).

Not that it matters, if you're buying this you're buying it for bronights.

Depends what you mean by 'pick up.' Are you bored because you don't like the combat? Don't like the world/level design? Don't like the itemization? Those are all solid from the get-go. If you mean stuff like story and writing then those are always trash.

 
Maybe one of you gear geeks can help me out, but I can't play GTA V Online right now because it is super laggy.  Like can't even get into the game because the loading screen or whatever takes forever, freezing and stuttering.  Even the mouse lags.  Not sure what it is and never had this issue before.  Anyone run into something similar?  Online, some people seem to report this after updates, but can't find any definite solutions.

Not arguing the premise although the "open world" nature is part of that. "OMG This guy knows where your lost son is!" "Ok, gonna get on that but lemme build a dozen shanties for these villagers first. Gonna need supplies but I'll get those from the abandoned factory over yonder. Also, I wanna max out my relationship with this guy for the bonus trait...."

All the Fallouts (even back in the isometric era), the Elder Scrolls games, etc have that going on. Fast moving plots are just largely incompatible with open worlds full of stuff to do.

New Vegas was mostly open world but Obsidian had better writers and plot.  Bethesda's Fallout games have truly awful narratives and quests.  N-e-wayz, as far as enjoyment goes you're right in that the newer Fallouts aren't really about deeply written quests or choice and consequence.  I'm assuming anyone who buys 4 enjoyed 3 and NV and since the combat/gunplay is vastly improved from those earlier entries I can't imagine why someone wouldn't enjoy 4.

I just remember to download all my origin's and uplay games that I won't ever play before next month.

At this point it's safe to say I went over my 1tb just by downloading games from Steam, Uplay,Ea's "Soup Kitchen for the poor gamer soul that refuses to use Steam" Origin.

Gunplay and graphics are much better but I thought nearly everything else was worse. Enjoyed the game a lot but I thought it was the weakest overall of the modern fallouts. That being said if you enjoy bethesda games, yeah, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get into FO4

This is close to retail price with the bonus Ubishit game to go with it. (Take the value of that as whatever you like.)

It is a little slower than the 850 EVO, but has the added factor of portability.

I would have a strong feeling to say that this may go on a steeper sale during the holidays, and just as convenient, the game offer also lasts thru the holidays. (December 31, 2016 or while supplies last)
