Finally snagged a CIB copy of Resistance Burning Skies yesterday after seeing them at Gamestop in the generic cases for the past several months. It worked out just in the nick of time, because the cyber Monday coupons were about to expire.
So I opened a copy of this I have had sealed on my shelf for a few years and the code is not valid. No expiration date on the pass. Anyone had this happen? Any chance Sony might replace the code?

I recently started cataloging my Vita collection, and I had a several codes for DLC and what not that I had never used, and even though some where expired, they where still active. I think I only had one that didn't work.

As far as Sony goes, I don't think it is much they will do, and I doubt you have many options either. The best you could do is to buy the online pass from PSN and call it a day, but I doubt that game has anyone still playing online, so I wouldn't really bother either way.

Cat's out of the bag, first Vita game announcement of 2017 from LRG!

If Aqua Kitty is 17 what is LR-V16?
Based on the as yet not officially confirmed hint drops on Twitter today, either Curses and Chaos, or Oxenfree, or Ultratron. But still one more title no one has yet guessed at with any plausible accuracy, so hopefully in the next few days we'll find out from LRG what is actually next.

100000000000% true AUTHENTIC!!!!

I finished Shantae last night, and as my first entry into the series, I consider it a fantastic game. Difficulty was a little on the easy side once you max out your maximum health. The music, vibrant colors and characters are all very well done, and the game is simply fun to play, especially on the go.
You really need to play Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, as I consider that the best of the three most recent entries (Risky's Revenge, Pirate's Curse, & Half-Genie Hero).

They do restock from time to time, but often when they do, the restock goes rather fast(so most people think it never happens, but it does), as qty's are small. Or if the title is real popular, they may raise the rates as well if and when a restock happens.

Unless Heavy Arm states they can no longer get a game, they will restock titles. Sometimes within a few weeks, sometimes in a month or two, it just depends. They also announce when a title may or may not be coming back, so that way consumers know that their current inventory may be a last shot.

I need DQB and a few other recent Asia English titles, but I just haven't had the funds. So I'm watching HA Twitter announcements so I know if I need to grab any specific titles quick, if production has stopped.
I am an idiot. I read the list of games someone here posted that were not getting reprints according to Heavy Arms (Digimon and a few others published by Namco) and somehow got it in my head that Dragon Quest Builders was on that list. Who needs reading comprehension anyway...

The good thing about LRG releases titles like Aqua Kitty is that it saves me money. I have the PSMobile version from when it was free, and maybe put a total of 20 minutes into it. It's a fun 'Defender' clone, but not something I'd spend $25-30 plus shipping on just to have a physical copy of the full Vita release.

I can't (and may be in the minority here) pay a good amount of money for something I got extremely cheap or free on PSN/PC such as Thomas Was Alone or Lone Survivor. I love that LRG gives people the chance to get them though. I'm not going for a complete collection or such though. The Aqua Kitty game is included there getting it cheap on PC and with the PS+ as well I believe.

I don't think you're in the minority. Most people wouldn't bother acquiring physical copies of these games when perfectly good digital copies regularly go on sale on multiple different services at regular intervals. If the only objective is playing these games then you are far better served by the digital offerings. Acquiring limited print run copies of these games is a mildly obsessive-compulsive thing that appeals to collectors. It's not something that the majority of consumers are going to be interested in.

And that's fine. This aspect of the video game hobby-space is not for everyone. I know several people who love playing games, but actively avoid acquiring physical copies. This is especially true for younger gamers I know. A lot of them are fully on board for an all-digital future, and are actively attempting to empty their shelves and have all their entertainment in a digital format. Digital is convenient, and digital cuts down on clutter. Crazy archivists like myself are the ones primarily interested in stockpiling physical copies.

I do make exceptions of course. Any visual novel automatically gets my probably will get it and I will continue to wait till VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action comes out, and pretty much refuse to buy it otherwise unless it's extremely cheap on Steam or in a bundle or something. I love LRG and support them when I can. Course I'm one of the few that will likely open their games and play them (except for Breach and Clear...which frankly is not my type of game).

On the other hand, you can have someone like me who never would've played something like Thomas Was Alone because it was available only as a digital title. Ironically, I just finished my LRG copy of Thomas Was Alone and I loved every minute of it. LRG obviously appeals to gamers in different ways, which is a good thing. Obviously, some titles will work out for different gamers and some won't be interesting, but there is always a niche market.

Also, so is Oxenfree for the PS4.

There's a hint Doug gave on Twitter that was ripped straight from some promotional art.

I'm actually trying for a complete vita collection but I hate 90% of the limited run games. I've started debating just going for a non limited run complete set. I would only keep the 3 limited run games I'm interested in.
I want to support physical media but not necessarily low quality games. I feel that the majority of limited runs games are what digital distribution is for.

Long story short, less Aqua Kitty, more Shantae, Firewatch, Volume and Shadow Complex.

Plus paying $5 for shipping when it takes almost 2 weeks to get your order is ridiculous.

Have there been any deals recently on a new Vita?
I don't envy you sir. Finding a new Vita now is going to be a distinct challenge. Most stores won't even carry them new. You might have to consider picking up a used unit at a second-hand game store. The majority of big-box stores set their inventory to clearance a long time ago. I haven't seen a new Vita unit in Best Buy, WalMart, Toys-R-Us, or Target in almost a full year. Your mileage will vary wildly depending on where you look.

How long does it take you to stuff 5000 envelopes?
Not to mention just the cost of mailing things these days. I usually get two games, with sometimes a soundtrack included. Five dollars for two or three items, in a padded envelope, and done by a small operation -- not bad at all. You are not going to find too many places that can ship all of that for substantially under $5. Even if it is only one game it is not too bad of a price.

I'm fine with buying a new one off of like Amazon or eBay but they all hover at $200. I have serious regret on not getting one off eBay for $120 a little less than a year ago (I think). I'm contemplating getting one from GameStop since I have a bunch of points but I really wanted a CIB Vita.

Honestly, I don't really have that many games on my Vita radar I want to play. I mainly want to play PS1 games (Final Fantasy) on a portable device that isn't my phone.

Have you played it yet? I do own it and found it to be a pretty tedious, unforgiving game. And as pointed out above, it's an arena action game, feels really claustrophobic. Aqua Kitty is a far better game, IMO.
I was actually going to get it awhile ago when it was on sale, but since my memory card is all but full, I looked in to it, and decided against the buy. I always thought it was a Ghouls & Ghost style game, and then when I looked it up, I saw it was a fighter of sorts, and decided to pass.

I figured I would get it one day, but there was no rush. Now I'm glad I waited, as I never really thought this would get a physical release, but I'm glad to see titles like this make the cut, as I might not have ever gotten it otherwise.

Yeah, I thought this might be a GnG type game as well, and I do like the pixel art (although I've seen better, including Aqua Kitty, Axiom Verge, Terraria, etc). But being confined to just one screen for the action really made it tedious. And the game seemed difficult as well, not enjoyable for me at all.

I do like the art and design as well, and it has one of the better LRG cover art so far, but yeah, the game looks hard as nails. But I'll give it a go once it shows up.

I'm 1/5 for game stop games that come with the cover art. Debating on if I want to just print the covers of the games with no cover or just return.

Check with your local GameSlops. I noticed two of the stores I went to last week allegedly had "new" Vita's in stock.

As a Ebay seller I completely understand and am fine with them charging me $5.25 S&H. Heck, I use to have that kind of handling fee on all my offerings before Ebay decided to dictate to everyone what we could or couldn't do with shipping charges. Now I'm lucky if there's 25¢ leftover for handling, result being 90% or more recycled packaging from whatever dumpster I can find it in. Rarely do customers opt for the oft expensive USPS Priority Mail or FedEx One Rate, both of which provide nice new small to medium sized boxes at least.... bubble wrap and packing peanuts will still have derived from Dollar General or some other retail stores dumpster, but still.

LRG Is using new poly-bubble envelopes, and inner protective box for CDs, and that stuff isn't cheap. And yes, I have recycled LRG's packaging and even recently re-used those pink envelopes shipping goods to my Ebay customers.

But I do concur that LRG's shipping time is ridiculous.

Yeah, I try to recycle as much as possible in regards to shipping, as Ebay does no favors to the sellers, EVER!

A friend of mine who I sale for a lot has a local business, and I always get supplies from him, as he gets many orders a week, so paper, peanuts and boxes can be in good supply and he's just going to throw the stuff out, so I take it. Sadly, he had to move locations about 6 months back, and hasn't reopened yet, so I've had to get even more creative in saving a dime.

I agree, what LRG is charging can and could be more based on shipping, as it goes up constantly at the major shippers, but the service quality does not. Just having to deal with these places when something gets damaged or lost should be an extra fee all it's own, as it should be hazed pay(I can loose hours trying to solve issues). LOL

I try my best to make it fair for both sides in regards to shipping, but sadly that is not always possible. But I do have many customers state in my feedback how well things are packaged, so I think a lot of people understand higher shipping cost sometimes, especially when they can see where it goes.

Admittedly, no. I've played neither, so I'm basing the opinions off of several gameplay videos I watched of both.

I was never a huge fan of Defender on the 2600 (it was actually one of my first Atari games) so maybe that soured me a bit on Aqua Kitty.

Curses looks hard as hell and looks very pattern-memorization based, but the co-op aspect and the Ghosts and Goblins art style are what is attracting me. I also like when games offer the "RPG-lite" type upgrade options.

Oxenfree just looks like an interesting and well put together story game, kinda like I thought when I saw Firewatch, so that one will probably be a sure buy, unless I miss it.

Is the Operation Babel LE exclusive to the NIS store? I thought I'd wait to see if it'd pop up on Amazon but I haven't seen anything. If it was going to be on Amazon would it have been listed by now? What about God Wars / Rose Twilight? Might as well order one of those with it because I'll be damned if I pay for shipping ordering from them again.

I'm thinking Operation Babel is exclusive....same with God Wars (Amazon already has the listing for the standard) and maybe wait for Rose. Cladun Sengoku looks exclusive and Birthdays LE is on Amazon. I think that's all from what they revealed. Course Amazon may list something later, but for now that's what it is.

that and for us we like to find games cheap which is uncommon for digital games outside indies.
