Was that ^ too strong?  I'm concerned that may have been too strong.  Not concerned enough to edit it, mind you, but concerned.  I'm still steaming over the Square Enix Piece of Crap Spring Surprise It's Crap Bundle that I can't refund.

If you stop buying Squeenix games for 10 years, the 2027 Spring Box will only be mildly disappointing.
I can more or less vouch for this. Not counting a few ports of 15+ year old games, I've bought about a half dozen Squenix games in the last... 15 years, and I only own slightly over half this bundle.

Of course, I wasn't even mildly disappointed since I had the sense not to buy this, either.

In case anyone cares, 2K released the first chapter of Mafia III as a free demo a few days ago. I downloaded it partly just to see whether it would run. As with GTA: Vice City, it might be worth playing just for the music--a decent game being built around that could be a fun bonus. The opening screen featured Hendrix's cover of "All Along The Watchtower" and the game started with some Sam and Dave. I may dive deep into this soon as I'm having a tough time going back and getting into Fallout 3. It feels like there is way more pointless faffing about in 3 than there ever was in New Vegas

I'm going to buy none of them so that way you've all wasted your money every time you play with me in the group.
Jokes on you, we'll probably never play it again!

Anyway, I mostly bought them because I felt sorry for that one guy who kept asking for friends to play his Switzerland game.

Most people seem to think the rest of the DLC isn't very worthwhile. Id pick up the Europe map at some point as that one seems to have some depth to it.

I'll re-schedule it again to ensure we do play it. I liked it once I got the hang of it and its a nice change of pace from pew pew or vroom vroom. Its kinda like Town of Salem in some respects, but at least with Ticket there's no randoms or knowing exactly which player Fox is.

Destiny 2

Yeah, I'm fakeying this one for sure. Hopefully on PC, but we'll see once the details are more fleshed out. I went all in on Destiny (PS4) ~2.5 years ago on release and it has been quite a satisfying FPS, loot shooter, co-op, PvE, and PVP experience on my end. Certainly there was a commitment of staying patient during the lulls between content releases, but usually it was worth it coming back. Especially once Bungie learned from their mistakes and created better content.

I am slightly concerned though since the PC marketplace does tend to be a bit more diverse and/or fractured when it comes to gaming communities and gaming options. PC has so many options and avenues of choice. Although, on the other hand it's a big enough title that it could have some legs for a while if the PC version is done well.

I'd definitely be up for co-oping and raiding with anyone here from the CAG realm, both new or seasoned in Destiny when the time comes. September 8th, can't wait.

I'm torn between getting Destiny 2 on either PC or PS4.  But I'm actually leaning towards PS4 because of constant cheating that goes on in PC shooters, and also the community will be much bigger on PS4.  So it should be easier to find groups.

It might be the super rare instance where I buy a game on both systems because I'm sure it's going to look amazing on PC.

I think I'll be getting the PC version, mostly because I don't own a PS4 (or any other gaming console)

"Yay" @ Destiny 2 coming to PC.

BTW, where's that Destiny 1 PC port?
I hate to douse the flames of eternal hope, but I don't see that likely happening. I mean, sure it could happen, but if it didn't happen before the release of Destiny 2 on PC then I don't see why they would do it now. I just don't think it's a focal point for Activision or Bungie.

Destiny 1 ain't happening on PC.  Since The Taken King released Bungie has put nearly all of their resources into developing Destiny 2.  You are getting Destiny 2.  They aren't going to spend time programming the old game, nor spend money on servers for a PC version.  There is also no built-in group finder system on the old game. People use /r/fireteams and destinylfg.net to find groups.  There is no text communication of any sort.  The game is missing features that PC players would deem essential.

So, how does this Mafia 3 game run for you?

How's the story + character development stuff here, BTW?
the game looks like fucking garbage, very dated textures, mostly terrible optimization

buried underneath the muck is an interesting story, but it annoyed me so much I uninstalled it before getting even 30% into it and wont touch it til they fix it (if ever). There may have been some improvements since then (I got it via the Humble glitch), but I havent paid attention.

It pissed me the fuck off. They had a solid location and time period to work with.

Based on next month's scheduled its almost a requirement to get the Humble Bundle if you want to bro night.
I think that's only for a week or so. Or not. Anyway, I might dollar in [Edit: or not, since I own PC:Ex and no reason to buy Eon] but I'm not paying that BTA so ya'll will have to soldier on without me.

4 of the 6 games of the bottom two tiers are on the list.
1 of which was previously bundled (Tricky Towers). Spoder scheduled the other 3, and I don't think its a bad idea, if people buy the bundle it gives them the opportunity to play those games if they're not interested playing outside the group.

I'm very much on the fence about getting it. I already have Rampage Knights and 2 of the $1 tier games (dont give a shit about the Eon game or w/e) and Helldivers has driven BTA up so damn high that it does not seem worth it to me. I likely won't be BTA'ing, but am on the lookout for trade or split opportunities for the 2 I don't have.

There's still plenty of open dates and other games scheduled in the month, so its not a big deal to me.

Yeah. One in the first week of April, two in the second and one in the third. Doesn't seem so bad (and I say this as someone who'll be sitting out for them).

Edit: Plus, as noted, Spoder scheduled them. As someone who was previously scheduling 95% of the stuff for a few weeks there, I ain't bitching about anything anyone takes the initiative to schedule.

I wasn't complaining, but pointing it out. I am probably more likely to get it now.

Is there something regarding serious sam that if we own everything, we get the "remastered" version upon release like Skyrim?
Yes it's right here.

I think most of the games are 4 players max, while Rampage Knights is 2 players (can split up into groups if we have more people). Can't be too hard to fill up a single lobby. I have a bta tab open for $5.88 that I was going to save to sell or gift to someone anyway.

I know the price is a bit higher than most people are willing to pay for a MP bundle, but the games are high quality for what they are (based on reviews) so I figured I'd schedule them. I've been trying to schedule games that aren't absolute shit recently and I've been successful at it so far, except for *cough*SurvHive*cough*, and most of the games have had pretty good turnout

So, it's like ME:A then, worse in nearly every way to a previous game?
