Some Panda is good. Orange chicken is pretty shit, it's way too sweet, but stuff like black pepper chicken or firecracker or whatever it's called is pretty good. Generally the super sweet stuff isn't great, but the quality is alright on most of their stuff and they don't use MSG, which even "authentic" Chinese places use pretty commonly. Their noodles are decent too.

They're still a franchise though, so they're really nothing special.

Honestly, it's probably the Orange Chicken sauce. I prefer sweeter or spicy flavors over salty flavors. And I don't generally care for soy pods or sauce
(All that basically ruins most of the entire segment.)

The PEs around here are far above anything I have eaten from a frozen food container(and I have tried many) Maybe your stores just suck?
I'd be open to that possibility, but I've eaten PE in different states and never had a good meal. Coincidentally, I remember liking Pei-Wei better, but still not considering it good. Back in Texas, the PE never kept the food hot enough. Here in GA it's hot enough, but still issues with it. I tend to like spicy and not sweet and nothing I've gotten there (even the food labeled spicy) was ever spicy to me. Some of it even bordered on too sweet. Some sort of spicy beef dish I got I remember it being breaded beef that was hard (likely overcooked and old) and not spicy. Even my usual safe go-tos at Chinese places (like Kung Pao) just lack any real kick or flavor (to me). But, a place that at least cooks the food well would be an upgrade for me and my tastebuds are likely numbed beyond reaction to the usual "spicy" dishes.

Psh Chinese food is for Sallys. Ethiopian, Burmese, or Indian.
Ethiopian I can agree with, Burmese never had, but most Indian sucks. Bland, flavorless curries. A place here in Atlanta (called Naan Stop, get it?) makes it well though because you can add sauces and one of them is a real spicy chutney. I also recently found a Pakistani place that makes amazing wraps with spicy mango chutney.

The Indian food here is Austin is pretty on point. The only reason I know what Burmese is, is because my gf is from Myanmar ;)

New York had some amazing hole in the wall places when I was there last year.

Shit, now I want ethnic food -.-

Assholes

You know, I never fully sampled the Indian food in Austin when I was there. I had really bad Indian food in college (small town in New Hampshire, so not sure what I expected) so I was turned off from Indian for a few years. I tried one place in a mall once and it was actually pretty good and had great mango lassi. You and your girl should host a lan party for the bros where she cooks. Weiler says those are awesome.

It may have just been because you were in new hampshire and they toned it down. Around here most people are used to alot of spice, both from having mexican on every single block and because of the altitude, places have to turn it up a notch, so most of the indian is spot on (at least thats what my indian coworkers from both north and south tell me)

BTW if you want extra msg just go buy it in your store, its called accent:

Coincidentally, the only time I had good Indian food in college was when my Indian friend's family hosted a birthday party for him. They had the same restaurant in town cater, but I guess they told them to make it the right way because it was amazing.

That's because you haven't had my wife's Indian. But seriously, you must have had some really bad Indian to call it bland. I had some nice Lamb Vindaloo the other night:

What's the male version of nyotaimori?

EDIT:

Wikipedia tells me it is nantaimori [citation needed].

Man, I haven't seen this much infighting in the Steam thread since Motoki got yanni'd.
I'd been hoping that in all this time, it would have simply been revealed, but I was 'absent' when it all went down so what actually happened to Motoki? Fortunately, we know he's not dead or banned, so why is he in exile?

I remember growing up way back in the day and there was always a thing of Accent in the cabinet just as a basic staple next to the salt, pepper and McCormick Chili Seasoning. Then, at some point, we apparently all decided that MSG was the devil's powder because it fell out of favor.

I've had Indian food and remember it being okay enough but not anything I ever seek to eat. Then again, my ethnicity is Polish and I was raised on a lot of heavy hearty food to keep us alive through the Witcher-Land winters. Never been a big fan of spicy stuff.

He just got bored with the nonsense. He's still alive and lurks sometimes.

Edit: Also, I remember when I 100%'d Dinosaur Hunt because it had 40 achievements.

Same here, I dont know if my parents actually used it for anything in cooking. The only thing I remember it being used for was on the dogs food to get her to stop eating her own poop

All this talk of Chinese food did me in. I have delivery from a Chinese place called "HoHo" coming now.
Man... this brought up some memories.

My parents used to take all my siblings and I to a Chinese restaurant called Hoho back in the late 80s. Back when local restaurants still made their food the right way.

Mootooki got offended b/c we posted meme about Hillary YannyC. :whistle2:

His last post confirmed this. He forgot that on CAG, we equally made fun of everyone, including TrumpCat.

I doubt anyone ever bought much there, but Coinplay.io is closing.

They had a few mediocre bundles. Their biggest draw, for me, was being able to pay with the dogecoin I spent a few hundred in electricity mining.

Today, April 3, 2017, we announce the closure of Coinplay.io. While we’re sad to cease operations, we’re happy to have had the opportunity to work with some amazing game developers and publishers to deliver indie games and bundles to PC gamers all over the world.

Customers with unredeemed keys have until Monday, May 15, 2017 12:00 PM EDT to claim their purchases through the website. After this time, all accounts will be suspended and inaccessible.

On or before Friday, May 19, 2017 11:59 EDT, customers will receive a CSV with all their Steam key purchases from Coinplay.io to their login email.

Customer service will be available until Wednesday, May 31, 2017 12:00 PM EDT at [email protected].

So... you like Korean food?

Pretty much no mainstream "Chinese food" in the US is actually Chinese food, except for potstickers.
Don't think I've had it. I'm not very food adventurous.

I just played the 10th mission on blood money. It went South, so 47 ended up taking out 10 bodyguards in the middle of a bar, running to the bathroom and changing clothes and it worked. These old games can be entertaining. The last target just happened to be walking by, elininated him and ran out the door. Rating? "Thug"

That's fine. I eat it 'cause I like it, not because I think it's making me international. Plus it's being made by Chinese dudes so that's Chinese enough for me.
Oh I'm not judging. I eat Sarku and Panda Express regularly. But I also grew up eating authentic Chinese food.

If I ever visited I'd eat established fast food the whole time. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival still exists. (Warning, do not Google it if you have a weak stomach, they butcher them alive). They say "yeah, that only in the rural parts" but some of those animal rights groups have caught city restaurants butchering stolen pets(such as a well groomed Golden Retriever with a collar, being led by a ratty rope....Yeah, that makes sense). It's supposedly a delicacy so I doubt you'd get it by accident. But still, I'd rather not take the chance personally.

It was pretty good. Got seafood chow mein with squid and shrimp and all kinds of oceany stuff and some noodle soup with pork and shrimp and stuff. My stomach is satisfied.

Hillary is Motoki's waifu? When did that happen?

Our local hole in the wall Chinese restaurant is actually pretty good. The buffet's quite a bit smaller than most others, but quality over quantity I guess. Of course, I'll eat pretty much anything.

did you guys know donald trump's favorite games are lost planet and aliens: colonial marines

i also hear back when steam sales didn't suck he wouldn't even wait until the last day of sales to make his purchases to ensure none of the games came up cheaper in a daily or flash sale

hillary pretended to like call of duty because she thought it would get her votes from the gamer population but little did she know cod is soooo not cool anymore

bernie sanders said he doesn't particularly care for video games but that 90% of gtx 1080s are owned by 1% of the population and that if you work a full time job you should be paid a fair video card

gary johnson was asked what he thought of video games and he asked what video games are and then apologized and said he had smoked a lot of weed that day

re: chinese food

its okay

With literal piles of MSG?

Pretty much no mainstream "Chinese food" in the US is actually Chinese food, except for potstickers.
The potstickers you get in Americanized Chinese restaurants bear practically no resemblance to actual pan-fried Chinese dumplings, though. You'll actually have better luck finding Chinese dumplings in sushi restaurants being called gyoza than you will in a place like Panda Express.

That said, I'm Chinese, and I like American Chinese food. Not as much as the real thing, but they're really entirely different beasts. Ever since the place in my local mall closed and got taken over by some other people, though, I haven't been able to find good General Tso's anywhere, it sucks.

All that said, actual Chinese food is one of the most varied, and invariably the best, regional cuisine on the planet.

But still, I'd rather not take the chance personally.
Specifically, I'm Cantonese, and as my great-grandparents would have said: if it walks, swims, crawls, or flies with its back to heaven, it's good to eat. Americans get way too attached to what is ultimately food. I mean, sure, I wouldn't want to eat somebody's pet, but I'd totally be down for trying otherwise unloved dog meat—provided it was clean and prepared in a sanitary environment, anyway, which can be difficult to find in the places where they might actually serve dog.

Wait, does this include human babies? They fit the criteria laid out.

Psh, eating dog is weak shit.

Us Japanese take everything to the extreme (not just with new gadgets and obscene porn) and eat dolphin and whale. The best part is, we don't even need soy sauce, we just use white people's tears, because it's just as salty.

See, I heard that he only uses a modified "duke" controller (original Xbox) on all of his systems just to try to prove you wrong but little does he know that even the guys who can palm an NBA sized basketball found that controller to be shit too.

(God damn that controller was bad...)

I mean, I would try anything at least once, but there's a question of legality in some cases.

Besides, I think that's more of an Irish thing.

Chinese food talk got me really tempted to go get some pan fried noodles from the Hong Kong style place nearby (it's always got a tooon of Chinese people in there). It's so good. Also need to try this Northern Chinese place that opened a couple months ago, supposed to have a good lamb skewer.

But anyways, Pan Fried Noodles are amazing and shouldn't run into too many cases of them not being done right.

Heh. I grew up eating Cantonese-style Chinese food. Back when I was a kid, they still made it the right way - without using ingredients that were imported from the US of A. Stuff like sauces in cans, etc.

Although, I used to go to high school with a guy who immigrated from Canton with his family, who owned (and still owns) a tiny restaurant in the border part of town. They still make mostly authentic regional food. I still go there from time to time since their food tastes completely different from every other restaurant that's local to me.

Also, the guy really loved tacos. We all used to make fun of the guy for it, heh.
