The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. Hey blackbeard, is it possible to find out if which best buys have switches in stock? I remember you had trouble with their tiv so if you can't no problem.

It comes and goes here. I found probably more overall this weekend than I've found in a year. Got a PS4 pro from a guy too, then listed my slim PS4 and ended up trading it for a Switch with Zelda, already had a Switch so ended up selling it and my pro trade was a wash.

I feel like that was my trade luck for the year lol.

Quick question guys. Several months back the b2g1 preowned coupon from Power Up renewal was working on multiple sets of 3 games in the same transaction (buy 4 get 2 free, b6g3, etc).  Does anyone know if it still works this way right now?

Slightly off topic, but looks like the card i used to order back in January on Gamestop.com has been compromised​. Seeing a couple pending $1 charges from merchants i have never used my card for, one being some sailing company in Massachusetts. Interestingly, i did not save the payment to gamestop, so they must have captured on the fly via the breach. No big charges so far, but I'm sure they'll try it shortly.

Yep, i have done that. The charges are being monitored. They can't be disputed until they are posted, i guess. Holding on getting a replacement card for now. I was really hoping not saving the payment would protect from this, but i guess not.

Had another card cloned back during black friday and someone went to guitar center and charged $800.

Did the 800 actually post? That means your card got skimmed if it was in store: any of these purchases from GameStop hat got your card hacked would be online only as the track data is necessary to clone your card.

I thought they could burn a fake (physical) card with just the credit card number. At least that's what happened to me one time. They burned my card with a bogus name that matched their fake ID, and took out thousands worth of chips in a casino.

And it was way beyond needed, finally catching up with the rest of the world. The boomers at my work place lose their minds over the chip but guess what, their card data probably isn't going to get stolen as often after they pick up some paint at Home Depot.

yeah, ill try it tomorrow, ill do the trade in and buy the cards, if the bonus doesnt trigger ill pick up diablo 3 to get the bonus.

Thanks for the head's up. I think I might have made some purchases without saving my card so it seems it could be compromised. I will keep an eye on my charges.

 
Naturally, they said they didn't have any NES Classics when I called earlier. The wait for one continues. It's funny that I've come across more Switches (3) than Classics (0) since both came out. I would've hoped by now Nintendo got on the damn ball and started shipping more quantities of the Classics to stores.

Theoretically you could spoof a track but it's unlikely. There's online card fraud and physical. One comes from hacking like this and the other comes from skimming. Track 1 (name track) doesn't need to match track 3 (number track). Frequently fraudaters will put like "preferred customer" or "gift card" on track 1. The only big exception is amex. Visa/MasterCard are the easiest to burn. Encoders are pretty cheap.
 
Surprised their stock didn't tank again after it was confirmed that they were breached and had possibly thousands of customers CC data exposed because they were either lazy, stupid, or both. On top of that they didn't seem to comment or do anything at all.

You got me interested in doing this last night and I quickly threw some code together that I can actually get exact numbers with (Thanks BestBuy for leaving that out there!). From stores and warehouses! I justed tested Horizon Zero Dawn just because most stores should have plenty of these for the most part and came up with BB having 23,970 copies between stores and warehouses. More to come if I don't get shutdown.

As of 12:26pm PST no price change has been done. According to the store sample inventory estimate it appears they shifted a chunk back to the warehouse at some point.

I don't recall if it posted or not, but the wells fargo fraud dept. claimed it was physically used in store. It is a Visa card. It was a chipped card but some many POS only allow swiping and signature and could have been skimmed anywhere. It had been used at 2 or 3 merchants that had payment breaches. At least i had no liability for it, just had to sign a form from WF saying i didn't let anyone else use my card and it was in my possession.

For gamestop.com, i used an amex card. It's definitely possible that it got skimmed somewhere at some point. Could be coincidence.

I fully expect this to keep happening since even the chip and pin is lousy security anyway and retailers pos are pos.

Funny enough retailers didn't choose chip and pin. It's chip and signature. Chip and pin is far superior. Unless you're talking debit. Really your card can get stolen all day it won't matter to you. Reg Z will guarantee your money back. Banks just issue precautions. If your Amex got skimmed they arnt using it online unless they're dumb. Skim is typically good for physical only, jacks good for online only. Except being if someone has your physical card and can get the cvv in addition to the skim. If you guys ever want to know more I'm happy to share it's pretty interesting these guys usually stay a step ahead. Some people are morons though. They make me the happiest.

For the Amex, I'm guessing they are trying to use online. You are right that it's chip and signature. I think only my Target CC is setup for chip and pin. Since I'm not liable and I've informed Amex of the issue already, I'm good there, just annoyed.
 
The black ops 1 and 2 combo pack was 17.50 last stealth bump and it is 17.09 pre owned. The base value now is 12 so it might go up to 17.50 agian

I want to get both but the Xbox 360 version might get a higher trade in value because COD Black Ops II is going to be compatible with Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption GOTY Edition Xbox 360 is compatible with Xbox One and it has a higher trade in value than the PS3 version.
