I'm usually a Bundlestars White Knight, but they fell into Groupees territory with their latest advertisement:

Grab 157 Steam Keys for just $5
Dollar Bundle Week has ended with 157 Steam Keys
With the new Dollar Loot and a Dollar Ultra Reloaded, joined by returning favourites Dollar RushDollar Uber and Dollar Mega there are plenty of games to play this weekend for just $1 for each bundle.

CHECK OUT ALL THE DOLLAR BUNDLES
[www.bundlestars.com]

5 reasons to pick up the Bundles:
  • 1. $150 Total Value - Save $145
  • 2. $0.03 per Steam Key
  • 3. 120 Keys with Trading Cards
  • 4. Great games such as Spakoyno: Back to USSR 2.0, Minimized Ultimate & Slash It 2
  • 5. Variety of genres – Action, Casual, RPG, Simulation & more

Alright, quick run-through/summary of my summer sale additions so far:

2Dark - This one is really neat.  It's like an old school survival horror game. The graphics are like retro, but with a 3D twist to them.  Hard to describe, but very well made so far and curious to see how the stealth elements play out in this one.

The Black Watchmen - I flew through the tutorial so I thought I was pro, but then I got to the first test to officially start the game and got stumped and had to watch a walk-through.  #FAIL  If you like solving puzzles and codes and googling stuff this one is for you.  Well made game.

Dead Age - Turn-based combat RPG with zombies.  Fun so far, although these usually aren't my thing.

Dead End Road - This qualifies as the weirdest game I got this sale and it's so hard to describe.  It's basically like a driving, dungeon crawling, shopping game with permadeath.  You drive from town to town trying to buy certain items some old lady asks you for to perform some ritual.  If you crash while travelling between towns you have to start all over.  It's all spooky and weird, but really fun too.

Dead Secret - Spooky adventure game.  Not bad, probably better in VR, but it was cool and had some jump scares.  Got one out of 5 endings in a 30 minute playthrough.

Death Road to Canada - Basically Organ Trail but a lot better.  ARPG zombie bashing action.  Looting.  Trying to get to Canada.  Really fun.  My beaver died during my first playthrough because I threw a molotov at him.  I was very sad.

Little Nightmares - LIMBO in HD or whatever.  Really cool looking, spooky platformer.

NBA Playgrounds - Not quite NBA Jam.  I think it's a little more like a shallow version of NBA Street.  Nice game and the best we've got on PC so can't complain.

Radiation Island - $1 survival game.  I got $1 worth of survival out of it.

room13 - Permadeath platformer dungeon crawler?  Really, really hard.  Really fun, but really hard.  You go jumping around each level killing zombies, collecting gibs and brains and ammo and then if you clear out a room you can collect loot (weapon upgrades) and go to the next room.  Some rooms have traps in the middle that can help you (but kill you too!).  I like this one a lot.

Roots of Insanity - Budget horror game.  I like it.  Some story about a zombie outbreak in a hospital.

Salt - Island/Sailing survival game.  Pretty well made for what it is.  Can see the bros goofing off in this one.

Squareface - I got this on tremor, but I think it was in a Groupees?  Didn't know it had zombies, but that was a plus.  Shooting arpg thing where you are a papercraft figure going around killing paper craft zombies.  Camera is a little wonky, but worth the 299 coins I spent on it.

What Remains of Edith Finch - Really well made walking sim.  If you like those, get this one.  It helps I used to live in Seattle so I had added interest, but very beautiful and well made game.

Zombie Party - One of those twin stick, rogue-like, dungeon crawly things?  I don't know, sort of reminded me of Binding of Isaac, though BOI is better made, better story, etc, but this scratches the same itch.

Potential last minute buys:

Room Two - Was in the BTA of a Humble I skipped so $1.24 isn't bad.

Ben and Ed Bundle - Comes with original game and new MP game Blood Party.  Original SP game is only $3.99 and looks really neat.  Watch the vid on this one.  It's like a 3D platformer where you are a zombie competing in games to try to save your human and you end up losing limbs and stuff and hopping and crawling on stubs.  Looks great.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text.  TL:DR happy with every game I bought so far (at least from the quick playthroughs I've done).

I can't even think of the last time I was in a gamestop. Would have to be a pretty dead weekend for me to resort to driving around town flipping shit for hours.

I'll be going to Gamestop tomorrow to trade in ALL my console shite. There isn't enough time in the day to do all the things i enjoy, when not at work, so I decided no more console dust collecting. At least my backlog can't collect actual dust..just virtual dust.

So I ended up going back to Gamestop and picking up another copy of Watchdogs. If anyone wants it for a (very) cheap trade, maybe a low tier humble bundle game or something, let me know.

Yes, but I turned 7 video games I owned into over 1500

DEF worth it
I got close to $1400 as well, used $400 for Steam Cash, got $200 in cash and have $820 in store credit which I plan to get an iPad Pro 12.9. Originally was going to get into VR, but decided against it. And I traded 22 things including my xbox one and ps4. Bye bye console life.

I know the master race doesn't care for GameStop, but in all seriousness, I gained about $500 in store credit from going out during my lunch and right after work. Took a total of three hours tops. That could fund a whole lot of useless Steam wallet.

Yeah, the promo theyve got right now is straight up savage. I have about $50 total invested from today and yesterday taking advantage of the b2g1, visiting pawn shops, etc. and I was able to get $50 in steam credit, injustice 2, Nier Automata (which I may sell and get the PC version, heard it runs better on PS4 Pro somehow), a Switch Pro controller, and the entire Switch library sans the Lego game. Kinda happy to have built up a Switch collection while getting Friday the 13th even though it wasn't on sale.

How is Nier on PC, now? I know I could get $40 for this PS4 version.

Sure, because what I need to do is waste time and gas flipping shit for more Steam wallet I have no use for.
Free money...could buy a VIVE, Switch, Other Console, Games....Gas Cards, Movie Cards, etc. (making $1500 in one day for 4hours of time is nothing to shrug off)

Free money?
Free Steam wallet. Free money is what I can pay my mortgage with.

I guess Steam wallet is just less interesting to me when the sales suck. Although I could theoretically have $200 in wallet and spend it on four $50 games, the reality is that I probably won't because I just don't usually pay $50 for games -- I know this from past experience of having hundreds of dollars in Steam Wallet and still being uninterested in buying stuff that's 10% off $60.

Gamestop Trading

Not sure how you all are doing it, and I don't need to know as I'm in no condition to try it myself, but I'm happy for you all. :)  (If any of you want to convert steam cards to paypal.  Hit me up.)

I traded $5.49 for a copy of Assassins Creed Unity for PC at GameStop this week. Oh, wait, that's not what you meant? Never mind.

So...any hidden gems, secret deals, or anything worthwhile in this otherwise ultra-disappointing Steam-less sale?
I've found some deals... but nothing to get super excited about. I'm not afraid to fakey bro so my purchase thresholds is much lower. I think it I said it before but I almost feel like better deals happen quicker on the consoles when it comes to new big name games.

MS is having a big sale going on right now on Windows 10. Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition (comes with Windows 10 version of the original Halo Wars) is 40 bucks. I own all the Forza so I'm not sure if any of its on sale outside of the Porsche Car pack for FH3. The big edition of Gears 4 is on sale, the base version (which is all your going to want anyways) might be too.

As for steam itself... Not so much. I still think my best deal was Dead Cell for 11 bucks but that sale ended already, and again, wasn't via steam itself.
