I played pirates curse to completion and part of risky's revenge. I liked them enough that I went out and bought physical copies of half genie hero on PS4 and Vita

I am surely in the vast minority but I have tried to play The Last of Us twice and lost interest before finishing it both times.

Same boat. I hated the game play so much after a few hours that I just watched all the cut scenes online. Don't feel like I missed much as I was still able to it being some of the best video game writing of all time. Interesting characters too.

Incredible characters. I've never really cared about a character before... they're all just pixels to me. I cared about Ellie. I understood Joel. I -was- Joel.

Gameplay wise, I loved everything too. Shooting lurching enemies was hard. Human enemies were relatively smart. Gunplay was solid - if you hate it at first because it's so hard, don't worry, aim improves as you ugprade... but that said, I prefer it to be hard to hit enemies. I love how before you're upgraded those pistol shots -matter-.

Crafting was perfect. They took all the various 'light crafting' games and perfected the concept, with the kneel and no-pause craft.

Multiplayer is amazing. I still play it every night I don't need to wake up early.

I've plat'd it on PS3 and PS4, and I'd plat it again if I could.

It's an absolute masterpiece in every way, from story through characters through gameplay through multiplayer.

That's the praise for it, and it's well deserved.

Maybe I didn't get far enough so it got to the point where I found Joel or Ellie likable enough to care about them. That's not to say I haven't cared about what happened to a character in a video game since a few events in Life is Strange and Walking Dead Season One were pretty affecting. The gameplay in TLoU wasn't compelling enough to me either to make up for my lack of interest in the story. Perhaps it was the fact that the game really wasn't what I was expecting after the Uncharted series which had instantly likable characters to go along with exciting gameplay.

I totally disagree but that's the cool thing about opinions. I thought the game was overrated and the gameplay was frustrating. I hate all of the Naughty Dog games. They should just make movies.

Hellblade is getting some nice reviews (8/10 Gamespot, 9/10 IGN) with the exception of a 1/10 outlier from Jim Sterling who ran onto a game breaking bug towards the end.
 
Since he second part of the Totally Digital sale is still ongoing through next Tuesday, I’m guessing we’ll probably only see another publisher sale to go along with it?

I played the Fallen Ghosts DLC with a friend and though it was a lot of fun. I have Narco Road but he doesn't so I haven't played that one yet.

First time I played on PS3 I barely got through it. I picked up a couple years ago for $15 and loved my second playthrough. Looking forward to The Last of Us 2.

Aw, these two week sales are messing with me. I was all excited for today's sales. I need my sales fix, dammit. Don't they understand us backloggers need sales to peruse?

 
Hellblade wasn't even on my radar until this morning. Game looks beautiful, story sounds great, the short play time and seemingly very easy platinum trophy are plusses. That being said, I will wait until it goes on sale before buying. Persona 5 will be taking up most of my time for the next three weeks that I'm off school. 

 
Anybody know if $10 is the cheapest the Just Cause 3 season pass has been? Checked psprices.com and it doesn't have a listing for it.

Seems like there has never been a decent sale on I Am Setsuna. Feel like it's bound to happen though, especially with Lost Sphear on the way. Would be cool to see it as a PS+ freebie but not holding my breath.

Anyhow, better deals then I was expecting this week given we still have the digital only sale going on. Think I am gonna go ahead and grab the Just Cause 3 expansion pass since DLC seems to rarely go on sale for most games.

I definitely recommend it if you liked the original or if you're into the idea of tower defense games based around RTS mechanics.

 
So the Batman Enemy Within episode 1 costs $5. Anyone knows what the demo includes? I don't want to download it as a demo and then potentially fuck up my ability to buy the season pass down the line.
 
Kinda wish Sine Mora was cross play. Hellblade got a good a bunch of good reviews and I consider Ninja Theory the underdog at this point so I I'll probably get that.

Thanks, Frisky. The first game was great, especially in local co-op. This looks like more of the same. Not really digging the new cel shaded graphics though.

I don't think it would be a problem but my advice is to make a second account just for downloading demos and betas. Helps keep the library a bit neater.

 
Since I'm likely to just play on my PC via PS4 Remote Play anyways, is there much point to buying FFXV now rather than waiting for it to come to PC? I mean, besides the fact that I'd have to wait for it to come to PC.
