Got my update from Bestbuy. Waiting for FedEx pickup, tracking number issued. Oh boy, FedEx....probably won’t be here Tuesday. I get a lot of delays when it’s in their hands.

There's no way I'd have gone with Gamestop if I hadn't had a pile of trade in credit. 

 
have a scorpio edition on its way..but think I should probably return it and just get a really nice blu ray player with dolby vision instead. ( since X1 doesn't even support it ) 

No games and none of the features I want, think i'm out.

Have they announced any possibility of Dolby Vision? Seems weird that they're onboard with Atmos to the point of there being an app, but they are moving forward with Vision as well. One would think with the horsepower involved it could be done.

 
It seems that media player functionality is pretty secondary this time around. The dvd/bluray player is pretty lackluster, which is a shame since all the hardware is there to do a great job. I haven't tried it since the dash and bluray app updated though, maybe they've improved it. I'll try using the X next time I want to pop a disc in.

Odd because everything I’ve read says it’s improved on the X.

From the What Hi-Fi? review:
“We weren’t particularly impressed with the Xbox One S’s handling of 4K Blu-rays, so we’re pleased to say things have moved along with the Xbox One X.”

Apps are still not great as they have been on just about every console but still better than Sony’s.

Not sure if you've heard anything - my theory is that BestBuy.com may have got into some vendor issues due to video-game pre-orders arriving to customers prior to street date. I only based that off of a comment that was made on the unboxed forums by a rep (which may not have really meant anything). But, I have had a ton of orders on BestBuy.com and can't even recall the last time something was late when it had stated it would arrive on release date at the time the order was placed. That all changed a couple of weeks ago - now almost every video game pre-order has arrived late over the last couple of weeks (South Park, Wolfenstein, Call of Duty... Sonic just shipped today and Super Lucky's Tale has yet to ship). Assassin's Creed hasn't arrived at all, but FedEx lost that - it was due to be 4 days late anyway. The only recent release that got to me on time is Mario which they did ship next day.

It seems like they are shipping things later than they used to to make sure there is no shot they arrive early and instead they often arrive late. I was occasionally getting games the Monday before release date and once on a Saturday.

My XBOX One X just shipped via UPS - they'd have to have overnight shipping on that for it to arrive on time. Maybe it will. I won't be surprised anymore if it doesn't show up.

That's good news, I'll have to look up that review. I was just assuming that the X and the S would be identical in playing Blu-rays.

My biggest gripe wasn't so much the Blu-rays as the DVDs. The upscaling on DVDs was awful, which is odd since the 360 did a great job. I went back to using the PS4 for disc playing.

100 dollars for trading in an OG Xbox. I find more value in just keeping it for the streaming and Blu-ray player for an extra room.

 
I should be getting mine tomorrow.  Can't wait to see what the 4K looks like on my 130" wide screen!  Too bad I've only got The Secret Life of Pets and Fantastic Beasts to watch at the moment...

The no tax with trade credit is the reason I buy the majority of my consoles from gamestop. Looking forward to picking mine up tomorrow.

If so, I'd appreciate any reports about if it's worth going for any reason beyond picking up your console (e.g., swag).

From the BB weekly deals thread: "Be among the first in line at midnight to receive an Xbox Launch Kit featuring Xbox One X branded lanyard, socks, wristband and chinch bag." I plan on going to the 9 pm (west coast) event to pick up my Scorpio and hopefully swag.

Got confirmation around 3:30 pm today that it shipped (Best Buy). Fedex tracking says it's only 1 state away though so I guess it's possible it'll get here by tomorrow night. We'll see.. I was really hoping they would ship earlier but I guess it also depends where they ship from and how close it is.

 
Pretty fast and simple 9pm launch at my best buy, people lining up 20 mins earlier, i was out by 910pm with scorpio and running the system update now.  Scorpio edition is beautiful but heavy as hell, looking forward to some 4K gaming.

 
I don't think I saw this mentioned yet, but Amazon has the Scorpio Edition back in stock right now too. Target still in stock as well.

I keep my OG XB1, getting only $100 for it seems like robbery. I traded in the controller alone for $32 so that make the system worth only $68. I rather place it in another room or leave it at a friend house. It's the 1TB Blue Forza edition too.

All XB1 titles work online. Not sure what else to pick up, just wanted to play Gears in 4k. So far not too impressed with the X yet. Expected gears to look a bit better. Sure Forza will look incredible tho!

Not sure what the deal is, but Pro/Elite discount isn't stacking on top of the B2G1 online. Might use ibotta 20% cash back instead.

 
I must admit I am starting to get the itch now that it's out. I upgraded to a ps4 pro when GS offering 200 for the original ps4. Earlier in this thread I saw that they were offering 150 for the One S towards an X. Is that still going on?

I'm planning to try it out today, as I didn't preorder either. Stock seems decent, it's still in stock online at most places this morning. To do the trade at GS (only one offering a decent trade up) give them code EBC3056927 for the $100/$150/$200 trade bump on current gen systems.

Best Buy Scorpio - Got a shipping number yesterday but it didn't go out until like 1:30AM.  Shipped from Louisville, KY to my NJ home via UPS Overnight Saver.  Current status is "on truck for delivery".  But so much for the rep who said that Best Buy was delivering them the "last mile".  More LIES.

My order for the Scorpio Edition...just received an e-mail from Best Buy that it's out of stock at my local Best Buy (Christiana, DE). Called Best Buy, apparently their is a shipping delay and that I will still get it in 3 days for store pickup. Trying to decide if I should cancel the order and order one from Amazon. They did give me a $50 gift card for the inconvenience.

 
So mine was shipped with a delivery date of the 8th.

Since they promise release date delivery, if I contact CS, will I get some free best buy dollarydoos?

 
Probably not. They’ve been pretty bad the past couple months getting anything shipped on time. If you complain you just get a generic “sorry I know you can’t wait to get it up and playing, but glad that you see you’ll get it soon”

I was interested in this console until I saw those install sizes. It takes long enough installing games as it is. 178GB for one game? fuck!

Same thing happened to me. Their customer service is useless. Funny how Amazon seems to have an infinite supply of Scorpios (can still order right now) but Best Buy can't deliver on ones ordered 2.5 months ago.

 
as others have mentioned, man this thing is heavy! it feels even heavier than the fat launch ps3 from 06, but way smaller.
