Any one play Ark? Is it as long and tedious as it looked in the stream I watched? Or was the streamer(s) just boring?

Ride dino to get food/clothes/supplies. Ride dino back to your place and park it in the dino garage. Put your food away. Take your food out & make something to eat. Don't forget to [emoji90]. Oh and you can eat the [emoji90]. Put clothes on.

I want to like it, but it seems too close to the tedium of real life.

Apart from dino riding instead of car driving, eating [emoji90], the fact that my food comes from a grocery store and not chewed up dinos, and none of the game characters sat in a cubicle for 8 hours this appeared to parallel the tedium of real life.

This is also why I never really got into the SIMS. The hell with some pretend character. I want to eat, I want to take a shower, I want a better job, I want sleep, I want a bigger house, I want more toys.

Shooting aliens in the face or slashing demons with magic swords in a video game makes sense because you can't do those things in real life.

Apart from dino riding instead of car driving, eating [emoji90], the fact that my food comes from a grocery store and not chewed up dinos, and none of the game characters sat in a cubicle for 8 hours this appeared to parallel the tedium of real life.

This is also why I never really got into the SIMS. The hell with some pretend character. I want to eat, I want to take a shower, I want a better job, I want sleep, I want a bigger house, I want more toys.

Shooting aliens in the face or slashing demons with magic swords in a video game makes sense because you can't do those things in real life.

I played early on and thought it sucked. Then saw it got X enhanced so figured I’d try it again. Waited like 10 min to get in a game, still didn’t get in and then said fuck this and deleted it again.

Kind of sad because it seems like something that could have potential. But I think with dinos and stuff, it’s better to go full Jurassic Park action rather than realism.

If I was to pick one enhanced open world game from a bad publisher: AC Origins or Shadow of War?

Context: I've liked all the AC games from 2 through 4, didn't like Unity/Syndicate. Enjoy slaughtering orcs but can't be bothered to finish actually going through Shadow of Mordor.

I was on the fence about this, and was considering the BB $30 deal with the free steelbook. I really wanted to pull the trigger but I think I'll pass for now. Thanks.

my opinion (my opinions usually aren't popular here so keep that in mind)

but I think there are quite a few people in general that would consider it pretty boring, it's for the story mostly and .89 is great for a collector but it's more of a watch on youtube piece of dlc imo

Totally agree. Binge-watched it this weekend and very much enjoyed it. Excellent writing, and I thought the pacing in this series was the best of the Netflix/Marvel minis so far.

If you didn't enjoy the original Middle Earth game enough to get through it, why bother with the new one? Origins is the showpiece for the Xbox One X if that's what you want and Ubi has been praised for taking an extra year to polish it and add features.

 
So at least in Europe (though I'm assuming America as well) Battlefront 2 sold 60% less physical copies than Battlefront 1 at launch and now Need for Speed Payback is being more generous in it's progression system and requires less grinding to progress or just flat out paying to advance. The system works!

Yeah, think there are some tigers. Know there definitely are crocodiles. And you do get XP for killing enemies. It’s much more RPG in that way than past games.

Don’t think I’ve tried to kill a camel. But something makes me doubt you can do that. :)

Had $10 left in credit from going digital on some games so decided to grab X-Morph Defense. That game is awesome. Really cool mix of dual stick shooter and tower defense. Lots of destruction. Huge bosses. Highly recommended.

AC origins has been pretty surprising, it's still feels like an AC game but the "openess" of it reminds me some of the last couple Far Cry games. Combat is totally revamped also for the better. I'm still only like 5 hours in and seem to be missing what i need to progress the story out of the first area, but I've had a blast so far.

Dolph Lundgren? Wow...I think that may be the first time I've heard someone praise that movie, haha.

As for Bernthal, I like him as the Punisher even though he pretty much acts the same in every role he's in.

Yep. Every time I watch him I can’t help but think of Shane. He’s pretty one note. Not saying he’s a bad actor. I like him. Just kind of pigeon holed to the roles he gets.

Just saw an article (IGN?) about how the movie isn't nearly as bad as people remember it. Basically states it's a decent standard revenge flick if you take away the Punisher name. They apparently didn't have full licensing so a lot of character stuff like the skull shirt were changed. Which brings up the point of why make a Punisher movie if you can't include the actual characters.

I played the crap out of it on Saturday, it's a blast for sure and I'm doing more side quests than anything, (not intentionally) but just can't get enough of the game. Im pretty sure I'm not yet past the prologue which is insane since I'm level 21 ATM.

I actually like the DL Punisher, but I am a child of the 80s also. He was by far better than Stevenson and Jane. Bernthal does a good job, I think it is his deep gravely voice that saves him in this series, wish he was a little bigger, more imposing like DL. What a week for Netflix series though, Punisher, Longmire, Frontier. Trying to balance games with netlfix.

I paid $5 for the "Shadow warrior" outfit. Now I look like Batman without a cape, only instead of having a bat on my chest I have an eagle on my left shoulder. ....No regrets. :)

I feel sad that I got Bing points for buying my X but it doesn't do shot for my Xbox rewards status. Zero percent back until you spend like $150 is bullshit.

I got Origins from Redbox, installing now.

Danger Zone and/or the new Golf bundle is my sale wishlist item. Along with Hand of Fate 2 for $20.

I'm like 40 cents short for the mafia deluxe which is a great price but I think I'll just wait and try to rack credit back up

just goes in the backlog anyway and I prefer to avoid getting credit at as close to face value as I would have to get this time

thanks bing for getting rid of that hot deal so soon :(

would be down for prey and maybe a few others as well but the credit drought is real lately for me thanks to everyone killing Gc's as an option during their sales
