I have one of those and can vouch for it and I previously had a 1440/144 gsync predator which is IPS.

The Dell is TN, yes, but it’s a very *good* TN panel. Reviewers have stated it’s one of the better TN panels available. It’s a no brainer at 350
I think for the price, this is a good buy. I am just debating whether to get this or a 4k monitor as I am likely to buy a PS4 soon as well. The Playstation Now service seems like a nice deal IF they would update with the latest exclusives.

Yeah all I get around here are BB. Anyone that has Frys and Microcenter don't realize how good they've got it. Best B&Ms for electronics
Agreed, around here BestBuy is the place to buy hardware locally except for the mom and pop pc stores that charge more than newegg or BB.

I have both Microcenter and Fry's here in Atlanta, but it's about an hour's drive in Atlanta's death traffic so I prefer to live and just order my stuff online. I drove once to pick up a free case from CL and almost got rear ended by an 18 wheeler chain reaction. Luckily, I always keep space ahead of me, even in traffic, so I was able to accelerate and avoid getting rear ended, but the guy behind me got the full brunt of the 18 wheeler. After that, I deemed it not worth it to drive through the hellish ATL traffic unless absolutely necessary.
Sorry to hear about the near miss accident. I am sure that it was stressful. I intentionally go to work early to try to avoid the morning rush traffic and will volunteer to stay late if possible to try to avoid the evening rush traffic. Two months ago, I barely missed a chain reaction accident going home, it was surreal watching the accident happen.

I have a Microcenter and a Fry's here in Chicago suburbia and we know how to drive!
Having lived in Tinley Park, yes they know how to drive. They also know how to carry a gun.(Just joking)

AC: Origins is 17% off today. Think there's a chance it will be cheaper on BF or Cyber Monday?
No. Ubisoft and Steam have posted there deals. The only way cheaper is the console version.

Jesus, you leave your house?

Chicago jokes aside, we're talking Downers Grove and Westmont. Gangland slaughters are at a minimum :D

Or buy a Uplay version instead of a Steam version. Especially since you have to use the Uplay overlay with Steam regardless.

As part of your up to the minute zGold news coverage, they're all out of Amazon gift cards so now you either have to slum with overpriced eBay gift cards or Booby it with a Domino's gift card. Or wait, I suppose.

Also, I'm guessing the reason for the "maintenance" on Razer's site is so you can't take advantage of their Black Friday sale pricing. For what I spent on $15 in Amazon gift cards, I could have used to get $40 in Razer credit and gotten a free Deathadder Classic or Naga Chroma at their sale prices.

Yep, all the time. We have family that lives north too so we drive out there and again, if necessary for something I need to do or want to do badly. Otherwise, for day to day shopping, I stay south of the city, near where we live and the only thing we have out here is Best Buy. I'd just rather pay a little extra to order my stuff online and pick it up at my UPS box 15 minutes away as opposed to driving at least an hour each way through awful traffic, tense the entire time, wasting gas, etc. to save a few bucks. It'd have to be the deal of the century.

Which leads me to an interesting question. Who developed the very first game using the paper doll screen character model with full-body animated and changable armor and weapon slots, a-la Diablo/Baldur's Gate drag and drop style? I wonder who can take credit for the original loot-based (c)RPG. It has its hands in so many games these days.
I think Dungeon Master is credited with originating the paper doll.

I’ve got $13 in credit to the WinStore, would get dead rising 4 if it wasn’t the $50 version and was $16 like it is on Xbox.

Is ruiner any good?

eh, I can just pick it up at my local gamestop which is 5 min drive away from me and have it up & running
I called the two gamestops near me earlier today and one store had 1 but it was on hold, the other store wasn't discounting theirs until tomorrow and they had 2. It's either steam + shipping or nothing at this point for me.

amazon will probably have to match it, you can always wait for them

MysterD? Is that you?

Welp, all Best Buys near me were sold out of the DELL monitors except for one store which I wasn't going to hit the Thanksgiving traffic for. If one thing is certain there is a plethora of 4K TVs that will be sold this weekend. It was difficult to navigate the store since all isles were stacked with TV boxes. Good grief.

I did get a kick out of seeing a handful of deal hunter tents setup outside. I like deals as much as the next CAG, but I think I draw the line at camping out or waiting in line for days.

ahh ok, I checked my current one and it is an A04. I did a colorband check when I brought it home, and while you can see ever so slight bands in the gradient you'd have to really be looking for it to see it in actual usage. Comparing it to my 1080p benq its about the same, slightly less on the dell
It seems to really vary on the A04, some are just fine too. Sounds like you got a pretty good one then.

I see that Steam changed how review ratings are displayed. They just show many "This was helpful" votes the review got and no longer a percentage. I like it since games with mixed receptions would see the positive reviews rate-bombed by pissy babies mad that someone gave a positive review to a game they didn't like.
Considering review bombing was the only way some publisher evils had been counter/fought off I find the changed to be worrisome. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

They missed "President Reagan sends his regards." as you stab a guy in the dick and then the throat.
And how could you forget the classic ''Suck my balls, my hairy fucking big balls. Wrap them around your fucking mouth.''?

I deleted a post because I made a stupid joke that didn't make sense... only to see it get a like in the half a second it was viewable.

When I make a joke that I crack myself up about, no one likes it.

It costs about what-the-heck-do-people-need-a-steam-link-for-in-the-first-place. Give or take a dollar.
For the pittance I got it for, it's been great to stream the desktop to the living room for Jackbox games alone. They should be bundling the Steam link with the complete trilogy party pack, IMO.

They're not preventing YOU from writing a negative review. They're just removing weight from you deciding "I'm going to give every positive review a thumbs down because I hate the game so every positive review is stupid regardless of content"

And the second one is good too :). Decided this afternoon to get one and pretty much every bestbuy in the area had some, so put one in for pickup and just got it

If a game is currently discounted does that mean that it won't drop further during a steam sale?

For example project cars 2 is $35. Can it go on sale for a better price this week?

no. currently for Steam sales, what you see is what you get for the time period of the sale. in the past there used to be flash sales which offered a different discount for a limited time. you can check back during the Winter sale Dec 21 to see if better price on Steam.

Again, above is just for Steam. GMG, CDKeys, etc. may have a different/better price at a different time

You have IRL friends therefore you are not a true PC gamer!

100% going to buy list: CYOA games I missed when they first released because they put so many out I can't keep up, Lara Croft GO.

Maybe going to buy list: Vanquish, Pathfinder Adventures, Lords of Waterdeep, Virginia I guess since someone in here mentioned it and it's a dollar and looks kinda interesting.

Actually going to play instead of anything I buy list: Gwent, Diablo 3, stuff I bought 4 years ago and still never played.

Feeling like a modern Steam sale alright. Guess I might pick up some pinball tables too but I'm still iffy on Pinball FX3 over 2. Then again last year I think the only thing I ended up buying around Thanksgiving was a $5 Dragon Age Inquisition complete pack so I guess this is still more exciting. Drabe put out a good review of House Party though so I should probably look in to that.

Is it weird that there are a few things I'd buy... but I want to wait for December so I get some cards for spending multiples of $10.

I do not want to have to think about these nominations on Steam, too much effort for a badge.    I used the write-in for "I only play it for the articles" and Huniepop for a totally unoriginal joke but I am too lazy to do much more than pick random games for the rest of it.    Oh... I have to review something too.   Bleh.

Or you can edit an old review.

Also, the review doesn't have to be public. So you don't have to be eloquent.
