Throughout all of this, I was wondering why $40 was the lowest Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite hit, which it had lowered to a while before BF.

Other games released way after MvC were going for $25-$35.

I was thinking that the horrible reception and sales would have at least got Capcom to advertise it during BF.
Like Capcom will give anyone what they want. They are becoming as bad as EA and Activision. The game should be $9.99 at most since you'll be paying at least double the original retail cost for DLC.

Well the guy who checked me out looked like he had signs of PTSD, he kept walking around the store asking folks if they were OK even if he'd asked them before. The sad thing is he's the store manager.
He probably took a lot of Red Bull on Friday to cope with the business last weekend.

Pretty meh this year. Bought some junk from kmart/sears to use up points ($5 small appliances they do every year and some $2 throws). Bought the HP ryzen 7 desktop from costco ($600 -My 2008 vista HP desktop is on its last legs) , placed a couple cigar orders from a place that was doing $20 off $20 with free shipping, bought a really old android phone from ATT for $21 with $17.50 CB that probably won't payout without a fight. I didn't buy a single game or movie this year.

My Haul.

Crystal DualShock 4 -$38
Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 -$20
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 -$20
Knack 2 -$20

I just want to say thank you to everyone. Thank you for those that provided input, suggestions, opinions and experience. With your help, I was able to get most everything I needed/wanted.

I'll keep in mind the laptop. I may be in touch down the road.

Wasn't able to get a laptop this time. Just have to get a new battery and ac adapter for the OLD dell 1505e.

See the NEW Red v Blue creation. Look forward to 2018 Black Friday.

Still bummed physical copies of the :ps3:  version of Persona 5 weren't discounted anywhere. I want one, but I'm not paying over $30 for it.

My Yakuza Kiwami from Target for $15 arrived today and is the steelbook edition. My Yakuza 0 from BB for $30 is the business launch edition. I'm having good Japanese mobster luck ^^

My only BF deal was PS4 Pro for $330 with no tax.

Bought $100 GameStop card for $80. Then used it for ps4 pro when I was passing by Oregon, payed no taxes.

Was travelling, so was hard to get deals.

Target sent me the steelbook for Yakuza Kiwami too. :) But, my RE7 disc is loose inside the case... wish Target didn't use UPS ground. Disc is probably scratched. Hopefully I can swap it in-store with no hassles.

if it's a PS4 game case it happens all the time, don't worry about it.

also, Blu-rays can't be reasonably scratched esp. in a case as they all have anti-scratch coatings making them highly scratch resistant.

Disc is not scratched. It's a Blu-ray. One literally needs to take an icepick at it to scratch it.

Also, it's not necessarily Target's fault re the loose disc. It's been well documented that Sony's production house has had a problem with putting these disc in the slit during manufacturing. I'd say more than half the games I get are loss, regardless the retailer.

Not once has the Blu been scratched when I've opened it.

Anyone else like me already have buyer's remorse over Resident Evil 7 because really want to play the game but you know that the Gold Edition is coming out in just a few more days...

South Park (x1)

Bioshock The Collection (x1)

Has anyone that ordered Assassins Creed Origins or South Park The Fractured But Whole from Walmart have their order shipped? I ordered those two games Thanksgiving morning and the order is still being prepared.

My grand plan for this year was to get a decent 4k with HDR and upgrade to PS4 Pro.  Slowly downgrade to no TV which make little sense to get the Pro as we started buying other things for wife an kids.  Decided to maybe switch to get a PSVR instead, that goes out the window too.  As I would get a $200 with a camera, and not seeing myself spending too much time with it.  Meanwhile, the backlog is growing with still bunch of great games that I haven't gotten to.  Perhaps next year, anyway I did end up with a few things.

So I finally got my Sony X900E hooked up. I’m loving it. I’m sure the TCL would have been great too. Thanks everyone for the advice. As someone that doesn’t really know much about TVs or displays, I’m still getting use to all the configurations. From what I’ve read of the 4 HDMI slots, only #2 & 3 are full bandwidth. I have a ps4pro, OG Xb1, and Comcast/xfinity. I have the pro on #2 but I’m unsure which to put on number 3. I’m guessing it doesn’t really matter, since the xb1 and xfinity don’t offer 4K/hdr? Do the other inputs still upscale the picture?

I think I was the worst backlog offender this year.

Has anyone that ordered Assassins Creed Origins or South Park The Fractured But Whole from Walmart have their order shipped? I ordered those two games Thanksgiving morning and the order is still being prepared.
I picked up my site to store order of ACO today.

Just accept that it's a collection, not a backlog. Most here have backlog s in the hundreds. No point in dwelling too much on it.

But then.. why? Why does this to yourself?

I have close to a hundred in my backlog for just PS4 games alone! I'm trying to do like Draekon now and just focus on one game at a time. Sadly sometimes that happens to be some rogue like or rouge lite game that is usually harder to beat.

Almost everything has arrived. Just missing:

128gb sd cards, speakers for pc,

cyber monday's amazon order of Elgatos, hdmi splitter and redragon keyboard,

gamestop x1 dual controller charger, 2 sets of ornaments, and two (on hold) x360.

Everything that's not on hold is due Dec 1.

Geez i bought destiny 2 from gamestop Thanksgiving morning and even though it said it shipped, tracking still says usps hasnt received packaged

If i waited a few days, i could have got it from best buy cheaper and faster

From Amazon on BF I had ordered 3 lightning deals: Rayman legends, ACO, and Mario and Rabbids. I also ordered Ys 8 since it was 40 instead of 60.

I got the shipping notice on Saturday (all 4 in the same package despite 4 different orders), There were no more updates for several days, and then last night I get an email that a refund has been issued for all 4. What shit! The potential reasons they list are not applicable to me at all (unsafe delivery, PO Box mixup, etc). I want to call up and say I want these orders placed again at the same prices.

I could order Ys 8 and ACO for a combined 72 bucks starting thus Sunday at BB (assuming GCU stacks with the deal), which is close to the combined BF price, but this is annoying.

Why? Games are supposed to be fun. I just play something and then if it gets boring, I stop and just move on. Time is too valuable to waste on bad games or ones I don't have any desire to play. I might come back, but I certainly won't slog along just because.l, especially when there are plenty of excellent games i could rather be spending my minutes on.

All my orders arrived as of last Saturday to today. Got:

Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 ($15) & 2.8 ($20. Damn you Target for carrying 1.5+2.5, but not 2.8 so I could get it for $15 as well, resulting in my plan being ruined.)

Persona 5 ($25. This one had me livid.)

Uncharted 4 ($15)

Yakuza Kiwami ($15)

The Last Guardian ($15)

NieR Automata ($25)

Unexpected purchase: BlazBlue Central Fiction ($27)

or better yet, don't buy anything at all. i have a huge backlog and i know the games i didn't buy this black friday will even be cheaper next year when i finish my backlog.

You know, I tend to agree with you but I'm not so sure this is true anymore with certain games. It's clear the industry is moving away from physical releases, and the numbers back that up. 30-40% of games sales are digital now, and that percentage is only going to keep rising. You have to think the incentive for publishers to reprint games is starting to wane.

I'm certainly not saying physical sales are going away completely any time soon, but I increasingly am of the mind that certain games -- once gone -- are in fact gone. There will always be eBay and resellers but whether that means prices really drop all that much remains to be seen.

Your comment was definitely true with the PS3/360 generation (I've picked up many titles I missed or were mildly curious about at mostly awesome or reasonable prices). Again, not sure the same will be true this time. I can definitely think of some games that will be hard to fid new, and I'm inclined to get those now.

2013 spoke loud and clear in regards to how they feel about the digital future. There's a reason why games like Uncharted Lost Legacy and Dishonored Death of the Outsider were packaged and sold at retail. The people at Naughty Dog and Bethesda will tell you that stand alone retail games sell much better than digital DLC.

Sure, digital sales are on the rise. But physical console games ain't going anywhere.

So, so wrong.

Once the studios can cut out the physical retailers they can make far more money since they no longer have to deal with discs, printed materials, returns, selling at a lower cost, "bargain prices" etc.

It's coming.

I never really found much to get. Ordered some replacement ear pieces for my Arctis 7 from Steelseries ($6.75 with free shipping, rather than $15 with $10 shipping). Also bought some CDs on MerchNow, but that's all the Black Friday shopping I did. Looked forever for a PC case, but wasn't really pleased with any of the options I found.
