Um, that's YouTube as a whole. Everytime I watch a trailer or anything on there YouTube thinks I need a video of people's overblown reactions. Nope, I'm sure there are fine and dandy people trying to make a difference, but still doesn't change the fact that it's still mostly full of horrible garbage people.

Was playing Fallout 4 had some crashes and now I can't launch any game I bought through Xbox live. Physical games and even digital games that I redeemed via code work. Seems to be a common issue. Anyone else having trouble?

Now it's all digital content.

So I loaded up The Division last night and started playing. Getting used to mechanics, inventory management, and various weapons. I was a little disappointed I couldn't use a shotgun and uzi at the same time (I know in game weapon names are more specific).

Liked it enough I decided to get the season pass and Rainbow Six Siege Complete while they were still on sale.

Have 2 questions about The Division.

1) Is there a melee attack? Am I missing something? Sometimes enemies will rush with baseball bats or similar and then be so close it's hard to shoot them.

2) In the lower right corner of the attached screenshot there's an orange inverted pentagon with the number 5. Anyone know what that represents? Saw it on other players in the safe house and couldn't figure it out.

I just bought both of those as well, minus R6 Gold, went with the vanilla version from CD Keys for $11. Melee is the right stick, just press it in. As for the number no clue man.

Only had issues with app very early on. Most of those problems were before I got the service, when I was trying to decide if it would work in my locale.
Used it on vacation 3000 miles away from home without an issue. It was a sweet home theater style setup with a fire place in the theater and the movie posters were animated like the pictures at hogwarts.
I often use it at a theater that's part of the Regal chain and swipe my rewards card when I go. I've racked up enough points for 2 free movies, but since I have moviepass I'll probably use them for free snacks.
Also thinking of combining with Sony Rewards as that has rewards for seeing movies on their list. So even if I didn't want to see one of those movies (*cough* Jumanji *cough*), I'd just use Moviepass to buy a ticket at a Regal theater, swipe my card for regal rewards, scan the purchased ticket for Sony rewards, and then go home with out wasting 2 hours watching some god awful movie.
It's great too if you want to see a movie a second time. And there are a number of independent theaters near me that do classic films, or theaters that show more artstic films, or foreign films and they all accept movie pass.
Oh and you can use it for Fathom events. Movie theatre showings of opera, ballet, anime, directors cuts, classic movies, etc.https://www.fathomevents.com
But like any subscription service it's only worth it if you keep using it.

Been out twice to snow blow/shovel though the end of my drive way is still fucked.

Had a heart palpitation and my snow blower battery died near the end so that was my body saying stop before I die.

Think we got over a foot and It's not over yet.

I've been signed up since the day after the price drop to $10. The only hiccup I've had personally was GQT taking down e-tickets for about a week to make it so rewards do not build up when using the service. Other than that I've had no issues. My local place actually finally fixed their kiosks too, due to a high number of people using e-tickets from the app I think. I've got 4 other people in my movie going group that signed up too, and they've had the same experience.

I do follow the MoviePass Reddit and there have been a couple of reported times where the service was down for a good chunk of the day and some people that tried to do the buy and reimbursement method had issues. Aside from that you have isolated reports of some theaters (usually AMC owned) being a bitch and saying they don't accept the card even though corporate has said otherwise, usually reporting them to both AMC and/or MasterCard gets it sorted out eventually.

The service itself hasn't changed much, but they did update their terms of service due to people abusing it in various ways. They don't seem to be actively monitoring these yet, but they could eventually. The main one is saying that you can't leave a show early more than once a month, obviously to combat the company paying for tickets just for reward exploits like the above Sony one. You also aren't supposed to be able to see special showings like Fathom events also mentioned above, but if the ticket is the same price as normal showings then they can't tell when you pay with the MP card, though if the theater has e-tickets it does not let you get a ticket. On the plus side they did update to allow you see a movie as many times as you want. I've seen Star Wars twice with it.

The only big piece of advice is to make sure to pick up each MoviePass ticket as it's own transaction. If you do a "split-transaction" by paying for most of a ticket on MP then the rest with your own money, they are fairly likely to ban your account. This is intended to stop people from upgrading to 3D or whatever, but it also triggers if you say, buy your date's ticket and the cashier doesn't properly split the cost charged to your MP card correctly.

I'm still curious if the company will manage to stay viable in the long term, but they had another big investment like a month or two back, and made it sound like the plan to sell data is starting to work.

 
If I want to pick just one of the Dead Island games, which should it be? Dead Island or Riptide? Can only afford one, just not sure which.

First one imo. I feel that the areas and playable characters are more interesting.

Dark Souls 3: I’ve beaten it once on the PS4, but I do love the series and haven’t experienced the dlc

The Division: Got decently far at launch but got bored. I heard a lot of good things about the new stuff, but I’m worried about it being super grindy

You should be able to equip a shotgun and a submach at the same time. Both of those are options in your primary and in your secondary weapon slots. You can also have a double-barreled shotgun as a sidearm.

For qst #1: There is a melee attack (click on RS, as someone mentioned), but you don't really want to do that. You want to back away and shoot them. Melee in this game is not like in Gears or other games. They need to be on the verge of death for you to even kill them. And when they melee you, you stagger and can't do anything for a second or two so you're totally vulnerable as everyone else shoots you. The strat is to prioritize all the rushers first. If they get close, pull back and shoot as you retreat. Or you can flashbang them and then shoot them. (Double tapping A will make you roll. Do it while pulling back on the left stick and you'll roll away from the rushers.)

For qst #2: The number on the lower right is an in-game commendation score, aka achievement number/gamerscore. Kind of like grimoire score if you played D1. Completing certain in-game commendations gives you points. All the commendations are listed in-game, under Dossier. Completing some of them will grant you points, some will unlock badges that you can equip on the sleeve of your character, and some will even grant you masks that you can wear.

Bought DI Riptide since the other is in gamepass, I'll play one for free and own the second.

Looking back on the posts from the past few days it's a good thing I have the flu and slept through instead of posting. My views on children are not popular to say the least, especially to people with kids, so best I wasn't around spouting off lol.

I kind of want this holiday sale to end already so I see what the main page does for the normal weekly sales. And it's a good thing I bought these retro games because Sunset Overdrive and Homefront: The Revolution are taking forever to download.

Not sure when but assume it will eventually. Depends on how quickly you can dive into this game. If you are going to put it in your backlog, then maybe wait and see. If you want to play it within the next month or so id jump on it

I bought it for $15 from newegg during Black Friday I believe. Awesome, awesome game. once you learn the basics and how to jump/parry and jump/shoot you will be good. Boss fights are definitely a grind. I usually get very frustrated with repeating stages but I found myself up for hours just messing around with individual stages and boss fights. When you finally complete the stage/boss/game it's a great feeling
 
So Burnout Paradise HD(er) Remaster is supposedly due out in March for PS4 (and more than likely XBox One) according to leaked release dates. Rather have Burnout 3 and that far superior Crash mode.

Hell, we already can play Burnout Paradise on X1. I’d prefer Burnout Revenge or even just BC for it. The speeds in that game were fucking insane and I actually liked the fixed tracks over the open world for Burnout (Forza Horizon is a different beast which I love for different reasons).
 
I finally started playing Castlevania SotN for the first time on the Xbox. It’s been almost 20 years since I last played it on PS1, and damn if it doesn’t hold up better than just about everything else from the late 90’s. Looks great, plays great, still kicks you repeatedly in the crotch if you mess up. Everything I ever loved about games.
