Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Was super excited they were touring and coming may 19th.......until i saw it's at the MMRBQ   :nottalking:

But I've already seen them a couple time so NBD

Really wanted to go see the Misfits show in NJ with the original line up, but tickets are like $150 bucks or something

I originally snagged a physical copy of MCC from Best Buy for $6 ($24 with gcu + tax - $20 in MyRewards certs). Then I stumbled across a digital copy in the Xbox marketplace thread for $10, so traded my physical copy in for $27.50.

But yes, finding MCC <= $20 is tough. Physical or digital. < $30 is more doable.
cdkeys.com had it pretty cheap maybe a year ago. I would also check there from time to time if one isn't in a rush to get it.

MoviePass is an excellent concept but has some serious flaws. Like, my wife and I can’t go to the movies between 6-8:30pm because the app will crap out and not work at all for us. I don’t know if it’s overloaded servers or what not. And customer service does not exist on the app, don’t even try the help chat. So, I’ve had to be refunded 3 times already for tickets I had to buy out of pocket.

When it works it’s freaking amazing, it just doesn’t work all the time.
Moviepass has known issues with older versions of android (pre 5.0). I couldn't sign in at all for a several weeks. It kept giving me the "Facebook user not found" error even though I was signing in with email and password. After receiving a copy paste of unrelated info email on how to update a forgotten password, I tried calling customer service number and it literally played a we're busy message and then hung up on me.

Finally I tried updating my password on Facebook and it magically worked.

Currently 25.69 at cdkeys. If you use the savings code CDK36454 it knocks off a whopping 77 cents. Yay, 3% off.

I think he was referring to how it used to be $4 even earlier and they just couldn't get rid of them. I'm not sure how much the collection has actually improved now, but I still didn't bite at that price.

Lucky is a lot less precise despite having a ledge grab and a double jump, and it was a little frustrating.
Although I know you just started Super Lucky's Tale, I would say you are being very kind with your statement. I just completed the game and it frustrated me to no end. Even if I stand directly next to a vertical surface and jump up, sometimes it registers and sometimes it doesn't.

The other main problem I had was telling distance/depth in this game. Oftentimes I thought I was standing directly underneath a coin. I'd jump up to get it and realize it's not above me. So I have to do trial and error. I move my character further back into the screen, jump -- no coin. Move my character forward into the screen, jump -- no coin. Keep adjusting distances backward and forward until I grab the coin. Now imagine having to do this in combat with moving enemies where each accidental touch makes you lose health. And imagine doing this on the platforming sections, some of which are moving.

Those were the only causes of my deaths in the game -- thinking I was lined up with a platform or enemy, but in fact I was not.

My final assessment of this game is the same as the one for Recore (another Xbox exclusive). Specifically, they both had good ideas and gameplay concepts, but the execution was poor.

From the betas that I've played of Sea of Thieves and from what I've read/heard, I'm going to guess my review will be the same for that as well.

I wondered how the Depth/Distance would translate on the Xbox since it's a VR game. Playing it in VR is quite striking even in the gameplay is a little simple. Makes me imagine what Nintendo would do in that space when that time comes.

Bloomy you lucky dog. Congrats!

This is from the CAG Charity raffle:

SNES Classic (1/2) [Sgt Barone] Bloomy

Sgt Barone donated SNES Classic and Bloomy won. :)

So finally emailed microsoft about not getting my $25 credit, no luck with them since it's only been 5 days. Try again in 2 more days and be frustrated all over again.

To the Ghost guy, saw the Misfits at Riot Fest. They were ok ( I'm a diehard ). Glenn has trouble hitting some of those notes which is understandable. Merchandise was out of control. High priced and sold out pretty quick.

Can anyone sell me on Dead Alliance? Or Dead by Daylight. Itching for a horror game.

Sea of Thieves controller back in stock on MS store.

Edit - must’ve not been on the last page cause that didn’t appear above mine until after I posted lol.

Yeah, we will see if my patience decreases over time. That is only happened once or twice during the 2D portions but so far it's scratching the itch for a 3D platformer that doesn't require too much critical thought. I think SLTs greatest asset is its lack of competition, there aren't many modern games like it on the platform. Reminds me of Yoshi games to an extent.

There are 2D levels, though, similar to how Mario Galaxy puts Mario on a 2D plane every now and then, and after playing a ton of Mega Man and Rayman, Lucky is a lot less precise despite having a ledge grab and a double jump, and it was a little frustrating.
Yeah, Super Lucky's Tale is one of the Most frustrating platformers I've played from a major publisher in a long time. It was very finicky when going for all of the tokens, especially with the bugs and such that came with it. Some of the captures I got of bugs:

Randomly having a ton of coins awarded to me at the start of a level:

http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/CrashSpyro/video/40727206

Bullshit death due to glitching through a platform:

I didn't have that many problems with it? The camera did fuck me up a few times with spatial recognition though. Also the first time I played a marble level made me wanna hurl. Should of controlled the marble and had the table stationary.

I play DBD alot, what do you want to know? Stay away from Dead Alliance

After finally being able to sit down and play the beta this weekend, I can definitely see why Sea of Thieves is part of the game pass right from the start. That game is definitely going to be super-reliant on having a good playerbase. However I think a lot of the tediousness that goes into the sailing is going to be a turn off for people.

Well to be fair, every single Xbox exclusive is gonna be on Game Pass, so that doesn't really speak to the quality of it. But just from watching gameplay vids and reading early access opinions, it sounds and looks like a hard pass from me.

The Life is Strange bonus episode is out for people that bought the Deluxe Edition.

I think MS may have changed some formatting on the marketplace, I'm getting odd results from my script.  I doubt I'll figure out how to fix it in the next 10 minutes.

Yeah I'm sure. I've gone back about 6 times. Destroyed every one. I counted the dead pumps. I've destroyed all 7 of them. Apparently it's a common glitch. I typed in the name of the camp online and about 15 other people complaining about the same thing. It actually effects getting 11 achievements. Bummer. Oh well. Pretty messed up they didn't fix it
That's always a bummer. It'd be nice to have the game work and earn the achievements. I had a story mission achievement like 50%-75% the way through shadow of mordor glitch and not pop up. I get pretty frustrated knowing I don't have it and think to myself that I should speedrun to the mission and try it again.

Can anyone sell me on Dead Alliance? Or Dead by Daylight. Itching for a horror game.
Dead By Daylight is pretty fun. I like it better than Friday the 13th because a) it actually has working matchmaking without going through Looking For Group, and b) it's much easier to play than Friday without actually talking to teammates. When I first got it, I played only a few times and forgot about it. Then I randomly played it a few weeks ago and for some reason, I have barely played anything since.

There are some frustrating things (frame rate dips that make it hard to chase survivors, occasional connection issues) but I think it's pretty fun as both a survivor and a killer. If you watch some videos online you'll get a good idea of whether you'd like it. I'd just say if you do get it, stick with it for a bit because you'll suck at first and you might wonder how in the world it could be fun, lol.

I was meaning to ask you about that, actually...I saw that you've played quite a bit, but it looks like you play pretty exclusively as survivors? Did you try killer and just not like it?

I encountered the well known glitches in one of the Borderlands 1 DLCs so now I just can't complete one of the side quests which is tied to an achievement, its a hard life

Dang it Microsoft, you messed up the 15 minutes I have to myself on a Monday evening. Now Im going to have to talk with my family

Stuff's up on StoreParser. I'm curious how they're pulling it. The one time they were blocked by MS, there were rumors they were accessing the marketplace through non-public methods.

Sounds crazy but I always think I'll mess up and everyone escapes, or they just troll me when Im killer (i.e.Friday) or something lol

I would mark out if they ever did a DLC sale. Im just working on my survivor achivements, I pretty much just need prestige 3 rank 50

I encountered the well known glitches in one of the Borderlands 1 DLCs so now I just can't complete one of the side quests which is tied to an achievement, its a hard life
Can you join someone else's game who hasn't done the mission or something? If so I might be willing to help if I still have the quest/mission available.

Yeah, they definitely like to troll, lol. Lots of teabagging, basically. I don't mind it that much. It's occasionally annoying when the exits are open and they won't leave because they want you to show up so they can teabag and leave. Even that's not as bad as when someone finds the hatch and you have to find them because they won't go down it until you see them.

Provided storeparser has everything, doesn't look like there's anything for me. Only thing that's even half tempting is Dues Ex.

Should've known we'd have a ghost of a chance at a solid sale that wasn't a bunch of rehash. Should have performed the ritual. Here's hoping Bloomy lays down the square hammer the next time he enters the devil church and looks into the depth of Satan's eyes.
