Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

This is (at least) the third Tuesday in a row that we have had BC games released.

The prior two Thursdays we got nothing.  Hopefully we get new BC games this Thursday to buck that trend.

Yeah very strange...I think digitally they were sold separately though. MGS 2&3 were one purchase and Peacewalker was another, might be wrong
They were. In Japan, the two discs were actually sold separately. This is a pretty good sign for the other half to come to BC as well, but 2 and especially 3 might be a big enough deal for Konami to do full blown re-release on current gen instead, like Zone of the Enders 2. Though ZOE2 might have been a side effect of the VR portion.

You see fandangonow is part of MA as of yesterday or today?
Yep. And seems to be having problems with some UHD movies getting ported as HD (had that issue with King Kong). But hopefully things will smooth out. At least they’re joining MA.

Come on MS!!!

Anybody played Tricky Towers? Seems like a good co-op game for relatively cheap ($7.50).

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/tricky-towers/c4fl0l6c09lg
It's a lot of fun (at least on PS4). It's kind of like a reverse Tetris. There are a few different game types. Very enjoyable for local multiplayer, but has limited fun in the long run and probably limited fun for a single player setting. Also, the game types and controls are very simple which is nice for people of all skill types and ages (including kids).

Well I was going to ask if anyone had opinions on Shadow Tactics, but seeing that its now going to be free on twitch prime I'll just get it on pc.

Speaking of which, I wonder why they never went back and made Army Of Two Devil's Cartel BC. It was GWG before the BC program started but it should be a retroactive thing imo.
There’s still quite a few pre-BC GWG games that aren’t BC. Granted, a lot of them have had separate X1 releases (Tomb Raider, Metro, AC Black Flag, Dishonored to name a few) but that hasn’t always been an issue (Bioshock Infinite, Gears 1, Halo 3).

Biggest pre-BC GWG I want is Red Faction Guerilla

Good thing I already have GRFS, picked up a used copy for cheap at Gamestop a little while back. In Song of the Deep and Never Alone Bundle. Don't really see anything else of interest.

hit up my local gamestop for a 2.99 copy of Future soldier, never played the series and obviously don't have kinect but it seems interesting
If I remember correctly, the Kinect support was just to oggle your weapons during customization and I think issue voice commands at your squad. The first one I'm sure of, the second I maybe wrong. Regardless it's the barest of bare minimum.

I think you'll enjoy this game. If I recall correctly, this made the switch from FPS to third person, which I thought really added something unique to the series. Lots of cool future tech and had some really fun coop as well. At $2.99 that is a steal.

Played about an hour of Gas Guzzlers. Had a blast so far. Nice variety of race types. Just some good old fashion driving like crazy and blowing stuff up ! No multiplayer though .

but the DLC is still way overpriced.
Microsoft needs to work with publishers and bundle a game with all its DLC on the Xbox digital marketplace and call the bundle an "Ultimate Edition" or a "Complete Edition" - and then sell the package at a discounted price.

An after-the-fact bundle is not uncommon on Steam...and I don't understand why its not done on consoles. (PlayStation does a version of this, but on a much less frequent basis than Steam.)

I picked this up too. Love car combat and there’s so few of these games anymore. It’s not the greatest game in the world but it’s fun and worth the $6.25.

z-saber

Send me over your GT and I'll send it over to you tomorrow when I get done!

Thank you all for playing!

I'll do it again soon!

Finally picked up JC3 XL last night (almost forgot). Having a blast just running around boom island while it finishes downloading. Grappling and goats need I say more lol.

Any news on Brigitte for Overwatch? Don't most of the characters get announced and ten or so days the character is on the console version? Maybe tomorrow then?

Just a FYI

For the freedom rewards you guys have to opt on the Xbox live rewards page. Go to my missions, freedom rewards then click opt in.

You won't get the freebie if you don't. I guess you have to re out in each month

I put Future Soldier next to splinter cell on my shelf and its cool that the Tom Clancy games have a uniform spine label design, kind of makes me want to get more of them

For the Free Ride part of it, I've never had to touch it again after first opting in for it.

I really wish Wolfenstein 2 counted towards the western quest.

Btw playing bioshock series for the first time. I think it got over hyped in my mind, but still pretty cool. We really are spoiled with auto aim iron sights, nowadays

I played bioshock for the first time a few years ago and even though its really hyped I still liked it a lot. 2 and infinite are garbage though

The gunplay definitely is an adjustment, but the idea is that the main character isn't a well trained soldier, so his aim is a little sloppy. As you get more abilities, you notice a lot less, because you use them in tandem with weapons. Plus, the shotgun and later weapons are so powerful that aim is less important.

The first ~2 hours though, with a pistol and no abilities, is much harder than the rest of the game. Stick with it!

Yup. Found it more enjoyable with the shotgun and several power options. Enjoying the game, just wish I wasn’t expecting a best of all time game. It’s like prey in that way, the game changes as you become more powerful.

Sometimes it’s better to not have expectations, but how do I find games to play (without knowing anything)?

Looks like I need to finish up my loose ends in Tomb Raider. New game in the origin story line coming out.

This. I found BioShock to be fantastic in story-telling and enjoyed most when going in blind. Took me a few tries to get into it but once I made it halfway through the game, it's earned a place as one of the best games I've ever played.

Your opinion may change as the story advances and the stakes get higher. I remember liking it but being kind of unimpressed the first time I played it, but by the end I was hooked.

I wish I liked Wolfenstein, but I didn’t enjoy the story or long cutscenes and the gunplay doesn’t really click with me.

Much prefer DOOM.

I kinda wish leaks like this wouldn't happen...it softens the blow of the actual reveal.
