That's how I picked up on most of them. Since Xbox can't handle simultaneous discounts, just like EA stuff, the Game Pass discounts will be replaced by the summer sale ones. They've been counting down for more than two weeks, which is why I was expecting the summer sale to be this week. They wouldn't be removing that much first party stuff in the middle of a month.

Not sure why Shadow of War is currently on sale, that discount may just carry over to the new sale. Same with the Fortnite packs that are part of the DwG sale this week.

 
The problem with paying attention to the Winter Sale and the E3 Sale is that I've just seen so many of these XB1 games before.

More likely than not, I either bought them then, made the decision I didn't want them at all, or got impatient in the meantime and bought them for another platform.

I'm determined to bring a positive attitude to this sale, though.  Its easy to be sour - but at least there's always new Xbox 360 BC games to buy.

 
Needs more dark souls. I must have more. Dark souls 1 is right game I ever started a replay right after finishing. A decent sale would get me to buy the remaster (I have 360). And do another play through. I’ll also take 2 or 3 digitally.

Help me. This addiction is hard to stop.

I fear for this day. While my library is only about half of yours, I know it's going to take forever to bring everything over. Partially why I haven't jumped on 4 yet. Also, the idea of a damn legacy adapter still irks me.

I know I'm super late, but wanted to chime in with an unpopular opinion: I feel like fans have pretty much ruined wrestling, at least in the US. Too many smart fans who have an agenda and simply want to do the opposite of whatever the promotion wants to be edgy. Face and heel don't mean anything anymore. I think wrestling works better when the fans play along instead of shitting on everything.

Also, too many fans who claim to have hated everything since ____ but still stick around. Only Star Wars approaches wrestling when it comes to having a fandom that actively hates just about everything that happens.

 
Sonic Mania Plus is on Redbox and if you have T-Mobile, you get a free game rental this week. Waiting to play this game just payed off.

3 months is almost 30k Bing points if you get all points available. Easy to stay ahead of the Pass expiring and then some.

I just wish it was still the same price as XBL Gold in Bing Points. At least I'm pretty sure (not 100%, but close to it) Pass launched on Bing Rewards at 29k points for a year of Game Pass, but I could easily be mistaking it for Live.

Yep, worse still, when you start up Rock Band and it takes 20 minutes to enumerate all of those songs. Same thing happened to me. I think it only has to do that once though.

I remember this system on display at kittie city (again showing my age :/) and even being about 8-9 years old, saying this system is fucking stupid, it was crazy expensive and had no games.

But the Neo geo system takes the cake as the dumbest thing ever. I think it was like 6-7 hundred and than 1-2 per game?

Dammit. One of my external hard drives seems to be failing. Got a free rental (Kingdom Come) from Family Video on Sunday and was finally getting around to playing it. Was installing it and the external it was installing on keeps going in and out.

And just in time for the Ultimate Game Sale. 😡

Tempest 2000 made the system worth owning. I had other games for it, but that game was just amazing
 
My biggest hope for the maintenance scheduled for the 360 stuff tomorrow is that they LET YOU BUY XBOX 360 GAMES WITH GOD DANG XBOX CREDIT AGAIN.

Not holding my breath though.

That reminds me of how when I was young (8 or 9?) and I first saw the Virtual Boy at KB Toys with my mom. She was just taking me there to let me pick something, random shopping, and they had the VB on display and it was brand new. I think I remember signs/posters/standees/etc. all over the store. A brand new Nintendo console? I had to play it. So I did and after that my mom asked if I wanted it, I told her no. I told her it sucked and it gave me a headache (which it did). :D

I am here for the re-run aspects of the summer sale. Quite a few things I didn’t have the funds for during the E3 sale and would love another crack at. If by some miracle it’s a buck cheaper here and there I’ll feel like the Chosen One.

I remember the demo of Mario Tennis or w/e at EB Games. Also gave me a headache and never bothered to try it again.

The dissapointing thing is even with PS, Nintendo, Amazon, and Gamestop all having huge sales within the past month...XBox will shit the bed with their discounts probably.

I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of Halo 5 stuff would either go over your head or completely ruin certain characters from the previous games for you. You should really play 4 before 5, and more importantly the original trilogy before 4 so it's main story has the intended impact.

Multiplayer and Firefight would be alright to play. Also, 5 is the first game to take the core gameplay in a pretty radically different direction because you have so many more movement options and a new control scheme.

The only games you would be fine to skip as far as story goes are Halo Reach and Halo 3 ODST, though ODST is the premiere of a big character from Halo 5. Halo 4 also has a sort of story expansion from Spartan Ops, but I would recommend watching the cutscense on their own because actually playing that now is a huge chore, with it begin a huge amount of co-op missions that no one ever wants to go back to.

Overall I think it'd just hurt your experience of the previous (and better) games. Skip it for now and maybe check it out if you jump in on a future $1 GamePass, after you've at least tried to play the MCC games.

 
For those of you with external hard drives, do you keep your Xbox One set to turn it off when the console is off? Or have it so that it stays on?

As mentioned earlier, it appears one of my drives is dead (a WD drive). And I’ve read some things that seem to indicate that having it go on and off is actually worse in the long run for it. I’ve ordered a replacement and just thinking about how best to set it up next time around.
