Meh, all you're getting is an outer box that is covered in ratings from other regions and will likely be multi-lingual all over the back. Not sure how collectible this really is when all three items will be readily available for substantially less in the US.

 
I am so torn on which PS4 Pro to pursue. I have the Spider-man on po and do like the look of it except for the top glossy part. The 500 million one looks cool (more limited) but appears to be all glossy and seems to be a haven for micro scratches from just looking at it wrong. Drives me nuts when sections on consoles have a glossy finish, near impossible to clean without degrading the look and quality of those parts. 

Makes me wonder if I should just get a og black matte pro and call it a day.

Wait am I missing something here? It looks like buying everything separately here will run you $110 before tax (don't have GCU), while I only have to put down ~$101 for the LE preorder on Amazon UK. That seems like a pretty decent deal to me?

90 GBP is $114. While Amazon removes VAT for US orders, that still puts it at roughly $110 when you add shipping. If you have Amazon Prime, you save 20% on the game and if you have GCU, you not only get 20% off the game, but an additional $10 RZ cert. You also get the game on or very near release in a US rated version that can be resold if needed. Again, I'm not seeing why anyone would pay roughly the same price as the US release for a box that will likely arrive damaged and contains a copy of the game that has limited resale value in the US.

Hmm, it totaled under £80 for me at checkout but I see what you mean. I do wish they did something a little more creative with the LE but at or around msrp is decent for collectors I guess. I wouldn't think resale would be too difficult now since they did away with region lock, but it's probably more hassle than it's worth given the content. I put in an order just in case so at least I'll have the option to decide if I want to keep it later.

I agree. I definitely don't have high hopes of nabbing one at this point. May be for the best as the glossy consoles drive me nuts (also still hoping I can get a KH3 Pro). Whyyy do they make them that way when matte is so much easier to keep nice.

Still not worth giving up the GCU + $10 gift card to me.

Let's hope they dont give the exact time on bestbuy. Then at least if your on, you might have a chance. I don't expect nes classic hype but I'm not feeling good about my chances of grabbing one now. I'm doing quick checkout and I'll just return and rebuy with my gift cards and credit. Not taking any chances.

The collector side of me wants one for simply the limited factor. But I know I will spend more time trying to keep it clean then actually playing lol. Think I am going to stick with my spider-man pro even though the top portion is glossy. Its a small section of the console versus the ENTIRE thing plus its red so it'll be easier to keep it clean and looking new.

 
Lol they're getting you guys good with the hype machine. All this tension means it will sellout despite demand being half resale value. If we didn't already have two pros in the house, I'd probably opt for one too but meh. When I'm playing games it doesn't matter what the shell looks like. Although my retirement fund is looking a little sickly. . .

From pictures I've seen, I'm pretty sure the whole Spider-man console is glossy. I never understood the whole thing about keeping them clean, a micro cloth or a swifter duster works wonders. It's not like a switch or vita were you are constantly touching it.

I like both so if I can't get the 500mil I will just pick up my spidey pre-order. Another thing not mentioned much is the stand that comes with the 500mil, those stands are hard to find and expensive now and the spider-man doesn't come with one.

This is me with my 20th anniversary system. Knew I should have kept it sealed and use it as a closet filler instead of playing it

The Spider-man Pro is only glossy on the top portion. The bottom two layers are matte. Odd design choice but for me and my ocd its better haha.

That's a good point. The 2tb hd, stand and camera are enough to justify the price I think. Sucks though, I just bought one of those stands last prime day. :/

I like that Metro LE too, looks pretty slick and I appreciate not having another massive statue.

I bought consoles from Best Buy before and they are shipped in boxes. The only thing I ever had delivered in no shipping box was a 50" HDTV. You could tell it was dropped on one corner and the screen was shattered at that corner. Returned it to Best Buy and exchanged for another in store. I wont buy televisions that way again. But consoles I feel confident it will be put in a shipping box.

Surprising. Usually bestbuy makes arrangements with a local courier to get TVs to your door.

When I bought that special Gold PS4 a year or so ago they just slapped a shipping label on the PS4's system box. It arrived undamaged though and thankfully wasn't stolen from my doorstep.

 
I had $1000 worth of Sony audio equipment sitting on my porch when I got home one day. BB just slapped shipping labels on the retail packaging. Safe neighborhood FTW
 
I have less expensive stuff left outside my garage in a rain storm many times. You know because it's hard to put it on the porch 10 feet away
 
My UPS drivers don't knock anymore, it's infuriating. They will just leave expensive stuff sitting there outside.

I think UPS My Choice has an option to leave instructions for the driver? If so, has anyone used it and do they follow it?

Never use the instruction part as whenever I'm not around to receive my stuff, I'd use UPS My Choice to have them deliver to certain UPS Store and hold it for me to pickup, some of these stores open from 8AM to 8PM.

i used to get UPS packages dropped at the UPS Access Point so i can just go and pick up my pkgs. Now they dont ship it there anymore. not sure what happened. only small random chance they ship to the AP.

Ok, I have had the opposite happen. I ordered a replacement center speaker (actual retail box was about 25 inches long) for my surround sound system from Best Buy and it arrived in a shipping box. I wonder what makes them decide what ships in boxes and what to put a label on directly.

As for stolen packages, I think if there is a person going around stealing them, it doesn't matter if they are in a shipping box or not. They will steal them regardless as that is their intention anyways.
