Booted up Nier Automata for the first time on X. Holy shit does this game look better with the upgrade. I think on default Xbox the resolution was lower than PS4, and even on there it wasn't 1080. Hair specifically looked wonky on 2B and 9S, but it and pretty much everything looks pristine on X.

I remember Final Fantasy XV looked pretty jank, I'm interested to see just how improved it is when the DLC finally stops coming in 3 years.

Yes. It can stay on your hard drive forever, BUT you must have an active gamepass membership AND it must still be a part of gamepass for you to play it. Otherwise, it prompts you to buy it if you try to play it. I have left games from gamepass on my HD when my membership expired and that is what happens.

Due to the Gamestop X1X upgrade promo, I suspect there'll be an influx of PUBG codes people are willing to trade. Speaking for myself, I'll wait till next month after the promo expires, yet just before the Fall games start flooding in.....kinda reminds me of when there was a crapton of Master Chief Collection codes and I sold mine for $11, yet now GS is selling that game for $40. w/e

Snatched up Thumper and Rise of the Tomb Raider season pass coupled with the Bing hot deal of MS points for maximum cheapness. Would like to get the Mafia III season pass, but I'm willing to hold out for a discount greater than 50%.

My game pass subscription expires 8/24 and I'm hoping the X1X one month code that came packed in redeems for me. Plan on trying a week after the 1st. Anyone know for sure if it'll work for me or if its "new game pass users only?"

Mine said "new subscribers only" when I got my X, but I can't remember for sure if I was out of a current sub or not when I went to redeem it, so there's always that chance.

Ha I watched the video on the Xbox Store for "Keep Talking and No One Explodes" and they addressed what I wondered if not in a very lo-fi way. Wasn't so much I wondered about the blue prints, figured you could print them out. It was how do you play with anyone able to look at the bomb. The solution was to have everyone turn around and face away from the TV, makes sense. Ha it would actually be nice if it had xbox live play over party chat. 

 
It looks like Injustice 2 is coming to Game Pass in time for Gamescom. If you go to the game listing on Xbox.com, it now advertises the standard discount rate for Game Pass members.
 
Bought Injustice 2 Legendary Edition for $30 at xbox.com.  Even if base game comes to Game Pass, buying season pass and etc. to get all characters probably will cost close to that anyway.

People have been complaining on the Forza forums with no official word yet. I had some FM3 stats update for the first time in a while earlier this week, so they might be trying to fix things in preparation for FH4. People have been complaining for weeks that they haven't gotten rewards, or rewards below their tier. I've gotten rewards until last night, and recently hit tier 10 but still got tier 9 rewards credits last week, but I don't know if the system requires you to be at a tier for the entire week to get that tier's rewards, and there still seems to be some discrepancies for how the points awarded for older titles' DLC / token purchases apply.

I thought it was odd that the game showed up on the Gamepass page on the Xbox this morning, but only showed discount prices. Lol I was thinking how shitty it was to see ads for sale prices amongst my free games, but it makes sense now.

I hope it does update achievement points for FM5 because I'm dying to see the checkmark next to it. I grinded to get over 1,000 achievement points in that game and I'm not going to grind any further, they need to fix their system headed into Horizon 4.

Amazon's deal for an additional 3 months of Gold with a purchase of 3 months of Gold worked for me.  Received a second redemption code in a separate email after completing the initial purchase.

A heads up for the Forza community: Forza Horizon 2 will reach “end of life” status on September 30. That means that the game and its associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase. After September 30, players who own Forza Horizon 2 will still able to download and play the game and its associated content as normal. However, Forza Horizon 2 and its DLC will no longer be for sale. Forza Horizon 2 is currently available as part of August Games With Gold so, if you haven’t played it already, now is a great time to grab it.

This sale has been good to me. So far got Battlefield Revolution, Battlefront 2, the two tomb raider games, and one of those cheap fighting games, coliseum something.

Think I’ll grab the injustice dlc and maybe Numantia before the sale closes.

Reason 224309483279127 that I like my Xbox over my PS4.  Just got a couple of digital games on PS4 so I can trade in the disc versions. After digital purchase I click download and it wouldn't let me d/l until I uninstalled the disc version so Im waiting days for it to reinstall on PS4.  On Xbox as soon as I redeem a digital code for a disc game I had Im playng said game immediately.

LOL this ^ happened to me to for MLB the show 17. It wouldn't let me just load the game. I had to delete and then download the game that takes 1 billion years on psn even with a wired connection.

Nothing wrong with that. GOTY so far me ahead of Nier, Hellblade and Dead Cells in that order. I'm sure FH4 and Red Dead 2 will be close though.

It's a shame FH2 is going to get delisted and never get a X patch. I wonder if the 360 version is getting de listed to? Never went BC, I enjoyed the demo on the 360 it would be really cool to have BC.

If I recall, FH1 got an X-hancememt after it was delisted. I believe it’s a matter of if can they enhance the assets already in the code. That was it’s the the same source game that was originally released.

As for the 360 version of FH2, it was pretty much disowned from the get go, from being farmed out to Sumo Digital to develop, to getting no dlc at all. I doubt it will ever go BC, and likely will de delisted the same the X1 version is.
 
could someone rent me an xbox account with forza 2 fast & furious standalone? it was free once, now delisted. maybe someone added it on a 2nd or 3rd xbox account ;)

I had to pick up the Horizon Zero Dawn Complete edition for $12, and all of the Uncharted stuff for another $18. Ha those are way in the back log since I haven't even started God of War yet. Sony sales really kill MS offerings, although I suppose getting Forza Horizon 4 and Ori in the future on Game Pass and the other 100 plus titles takes a little sting out of it.

Question for the FH2 peeps....is the treasure map worth grabbing for $2.99, or does it unlock on it's own in hame?

The treasure map does not unlock on it's own in game. I found it to be highly useful to have all the stuff pop up on the map as you're driving around, but if you don't want to drop the cash you can surely find a ton of free maps online.

I have to put my foot in my mouth about the Forza Rewards program, they did finally update the gamerscore in my FM5 that I was complaining about just yesterday. I'm sitting at 21,645 / 22,000 points. Still have some work to do before Horizon 4 comes out to try to finish up FM7 and Apex on my decent laptop.

I'm die hard Forza with no life. :whistle2:

You can use online maps to find everything, though it could get tedious.

Bonus boards get highlighted on the map, though I'm not certain what marks them, if you just need to be in the vicinity of it or if it needs to be in line of sight of your car at some point (whether you actually see it or not). I haven't found them all yet, and I haven't completed all the career races, so I don't know if that will eventually trigger them all. Every now and again I'll complete a race, check the map and find one marked.

For Barn Finds, the game highlights an area of the map and you need to find it. Usually a building hidden in a cluster of trees. Pain to hunt down at night. The map won't automatically mark them until they've been unlocked through game progression.

Been a while for Bucket List and speed cameras. Don't remember if they can be found any time or need to be unlocked first.

How much are you getting in weekly credits? I'm at 15,750, which is tier 10, but I'm still getting the tier 9 weekly rewards credits (275k / 27.5k). I've seen people gripe on their forums about not getting proper credits, and some apparently aren't getting any at all.

Did you actually buy tokens / DLC for older games before they were delisted? I've read on the forums that the points they granted for tokens / DLC only counted toward the tiers when it came to new game loyalty rewards and the weekly credits were based solely on the earned credits, but the site doesn't really show. For a while, the web site and Win10 / XB1 Forza Hub app showed me different totals, but they matched after I started FM4.

I bought tokens for FH1, but not for FM4 or FM5, and I'm not sure if the on-disc DLC for special editions of FM3 and FM4 count. If those don't count, between them and the FM4 / FM5 tokens, I could be down 1k points, which would put me still in tier 9 for weekly rewards. From a licensing perspective, doesn't appear to make sense that the game delistings would require removing the tokens. Can at least still get FM4 DLC, since the still listed avatar items also count toward the rewards. Should cross 16k in the next week or so, so that may answer the question about what counts for the rewards. Or the rewards are just still messed up in some ways (my FM3 days played is low, but everything else looks correct).

 
Can anyone recommend Wizard of Legend? I enjoy roguelikes such as Spelunky and Rogue Legacy. This price is great considering that I would be using Bing money to pay for it, but $12 and some change is still more than I usually pay for digital games.

I learned this years ago when I used to buy physical copies for my PS4. I believe this is the main reason why PS4 can "install" games faster than Xbox. People would always complain about this and I would tell them this exact reason why PS4 was faster

I'm at the max tier 12 and get $500,000 a week.

I've bought every deluxe edition that ever came out so I think the tokens used to be included or that the car packs would count and usually max out that category automatically. Hell I may have even paid for them just for the rewards program I don't remember for sure.

I grinded heavy before I got rid of my 360 to finish 3 and 4 and do as much as I could in 2. It's so hard to go back to the older titles when the new ones are so fantastic. Also a hard pill to swallow when you go back to get achievements on Forza Motorsport 2 and realize they didn't have rewind back then. Oh and they still had endurance races so imagine making a mistake on the last lap of an hour long race! How spoiled we've become, and I'm fine with it lol
