Q: When are ads going to come out?
A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?
A: Price Matching differs from store to store. Here is the list of stores with if they PM or not on BF. You can also go here for further explanation on BF policy per store.

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

My Spider-Man Homecoming, Avengers Infinity War and Ready Player One blu-rays all have digital codes. I never use the digital codes and I wasn't happy that the DVD was off the spindle and scratched on my Spider-Man Homecoming. The blu-ray is at least ok from what I can tell.

Where do people sell their digital codes? I don't think ebay would be worth it with seller fees and paypal fees.

There's several forums on blu-ray.com (pretty much the movie equivalent of this site) where you can buy/trade/sell them, but as far as trading goes...the little man ain't got much room to make moves as most people that post have six mile long lists. I really wish they'd make them spoiler 'em as they're annoying to scroll through.

I think because of this black market, certain retailers are no longer offering codes with their versions of popular films. It's really weird Walmart's blu-ray version of Solo didn't include a digital copy, which has made it ultra rare in trading circles.

I just got my Switch from Wal Mart.  This has to be the worst packing job I have seen in a long time.  It was in a box twice the size of the Switch with two little air supports in it.  The darn thing was moving around nonstop.  I am surprised they even bothered putting the two in there.

I don't mean to pour salt on your wound, but the $17 God of War PS4 I ordered on Wednesday night (the 21st) arrived yesterday. It seems like they ship stuff our randomly and with no logic, which sounds very, very Gamestop of them!

It is not only gamestop though, even amazon messed up my order (1st time ever). It seems like every place that I bought from was running behind

Got my stuff quick from Target, Microsoftstore, walmart and best buy.

Hell gamestop has a delivery estimate for my Lego Incredibles for Monday and that order was placed a week after my Astrobot and Creed order.
 
Best Buy has managed to send two crushed games to my office ... really excited to see how destroyed the rest of my stuff is when it shows up 😜

Yeah, BB sent me a banged up MK8 Switch bundle that I couldn't cancel after GS finally listed theirs. No matter, it was going straight back anyway. Granted, the box for this thing is pretty thin/flimsy and not what I'd expect to house a console. Why so cheap, Nintendo?

My roommate received a Best Buy postcard in the mail today and it was for a My Best Buy member offer reward for $10 to his account to be used 12/01 to 12/24. He buys like 1 thing a year there and I shop monthly nearly and he got this reward? Dang.

 
The "free" x360 arrived yesterday. BB appears to have shipped everything. Need to see the condition of everything that has arrived.

 
BB sent me a Battlefield 1 art book instead of Assassin's Creed Odyssey art book.  This is gonna take a lotta explaining to customer service to get the right item.  

 
I stupidly dropped way too much this BF (and the weeks leading into it), since I now work 13 hours/day and will never get around to playing anything in my backlog. I don't even want to type up my haul because I'll get sick doing it.

I spent a ton too. Electronics wise I got two sound bars, five games, and 34 blu rays/4K. Most of my spending was on house items like ceiling fans, laminate, mini fridge, vacuum, towels, etc. So you are not alone.

Spent more than I wanted to as well. Detroit for 20, Odyssey for 27, Forza Horizon 4 for 30, FIFA for 30, Hitman 2 for 24, The Crew 2 for 20, reupped ps plus for 40 and got 6 months of XBL for 20. Also ordered a Vita when ebay had the 15% off thing going on last week. My spending is done for the year though. And RE2 and KH3 are paid off already due to those BB gift card/savings code deals. So now there's time to recover.
 
I actually for once didn't spend as much as I have on past Black Fridays.  Ended up getting God of War, Monster Hunter World, Dragonball Fighterz and a Hoover vacuum for the Black Friday sales (wanted a microwave but sadly couldn't find any).  Also got Diablo 3 and Doom for Switch because of the "pricing mistake" and Mega Man X (CIB) and Mega Man X2 on Small Business Saturday.  Although I didn't feel like I regretted any of my purchases as I have in the past.

Have you received any kind of notification from them when you ordered? My order shows up in my account order history but I never got an email and it still says processing.
 
Got my Arcade1Up(Street Fighter) from GameStop today. Oh yeah and LA Noire(Switch) from them as well. Only thing I haven’t received are the Nike hoodies I ordered from Kohl’s but I ordered them late in the weekend. Hoping to put together the cabinet tonight and order the Raspberry Pi and other parts to mod it.

I didn’t have any trouble last year when they shipped the wrong game. I mean it’s just your word sure, but how many people go around buying games to use for exchange/ return fraud.
 
BF/CM has just become another opportunity to raise base prices on old stock and lower them to make it seem like you're getting a crazy deal. Let's face it, BF as we knew it is dead.

At least he didn't get something of lesser value from a completely different store.

A few years back I ordered a Trek bluray from Best Buy, got a Best Buy mailer with a Roger Rabbit dvd and a Target order printout instead. I spent a good hour trying to get that straight in store as they were understandably suspicious. I still have no idea how something like that could happen unless both stores shared a warehouse somewhere.

Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and some other sites all use the same company to distribute most of their online movie stock.

 
Since we're sharing stories, once I purchased a new sealed WD raptor hard drive in store at BB and when I opened it, it had a 5.25" maxtor HD with mold on the circuit board and IDE connector. They exchanged it but man was that wierd.

I had a $15 credit for Target and they price matched Best Buy's $29.99 price so it cost me $16.79 out of pocket. However when Target mailed it they only sent the basic bitch edition and not the Edition of Light. I had to waste time driving to Target to exchange it and look through the ones they had in store. One of which had a freaking box cutter sliced through the length of the title and shrink wrap was obviously sliced open. The employee didn't even care.

So I got a confirmation from GS when I purchased God of War and Nier Automata. So I got charged for GoW, already received the game, but they haven't take the money for Nier nor there is an email if it was cancelled. I'm not late to contact GS to see what is going on?

I'm in the same boat, only games are reversed in my case, but it just shows open status now. I'm guessing my GoW purchase from 11/22 is cancelled but GS is too lazy to simply cancel my order. And trying to reach their help via phone is just beyond words.

I got the same order and they both showed up today both were ordered on 11/22. But email says they havent shipped so I think its just Gamestop being lazy?
