Picked up a 2700X for $199 and a Corsair 115 Platinum water cooler for $105 from a prime day that didnt suck.

it would have been a pretty rough prime day if it weren't for the few price mistakes. was interesting at least.

I'm not really in the market but that cooler is a pretty solid deal relative to the usual prices. The two fans sell for $81 by themselves, yeesh.

Yeah at that price its about the only way I would take the chance on it. I am not a fan of Corsair fans. 280mm AIO for $105 is too good to pass up.

Also, via the Prime thread, $39 for 1 year of PS+.

Tremendous! I have Fallout 4, Syberia 3 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare awaiting pickup. Being Cat President definitely helped grease the wheels.

GTA V is $9 too

Just be warned, I picked up COD:IW the other day and i don't think it comes with a game key. it comes with like 6 discs in the case. There is some kind of activision code inside but it's not for steam or bnet, haven't messed with it further.

I am not a fan of Corsair fans. 280mm AIO for $105 is too good to pass up.
If it were me I'd try to sell them for $75 and call it a $30-40 cooler, hah. But I grabbed a couple extra evga clc 280's for $60ish a while back so i don't need to drop anything more. Especially considering..

My closest Microcenter had an open box 3600 in stock this morning. Who knows why. The ridiculous $50 combo still applied and made a cheap b450 board $20. I was out the door for under 195 after tax.

Yeah, I have a couple Corsair AIOs and immediately ditched the stock fans on each of them. I like the cooler units just fine but the fans are pretty mediocre.

Have you tried the code in Steam? Reading the reviews for the physical retail copies from Amazon it activates on Steam

Just tried it and yes it did redeem despite zero mention of the steam client on the case or inserts. Thanks. As expected from a self-proclaimed genius!

I played about 2 hours of a Robot Named Fight on the Switch. Kind of generic and boring rouge like procedurally generated Metroidvania. Not a bad game, but just kind of unpolished. The movement and the shooting never felt great. Just giving my 2 cents of course.

I've played about 40 minutes (two deaths) and I like it so far.  Feels close enough to what I remember (been a long time since I played) Super Metroid feeling like to satisfy me.

Anyone who wants to play Moonlighter should probably just play Recettear instead. And if they've already played Recettear, just play it again. Really wanted to like Moonlighter but combat is slow and clunky and the shop mechanics are too shallow. After about two hours I was already bored with the gameplay loop.

B-but muh indie pixel art cred!

I know that I should cut my Monthly sub.  The games I receive are mostly weak or unwanted, sometimes given away free somewhere else (Destiny 2 and Moonlighter?).  But I know that as soon as I cut it that I'll regret it.

Humble Monthly sub is similar to a cable bill.  The whole time you have it you know you should cut it, save some money, and spend that $120/yr on the games you want to play each year instead.  But when you don't have it, every day you think about the programs you're missing out on.

Why not just cancel the week before each new monthly drop, then decide if you want it after the headliners are released?

Thats mostly what I do, since if I already own the headliners or dont want them, theres a pretty good chance the rest of the bundle isnt going to make up for that

With how few good game bundles there are now, $12 for an alright though partly random one is not bad. I haven't been liking their reveals as much, since most are games I have, but the unlocks are still OK enough. I just consider it one of those subscription boxes people get, but instead of random physical junk, I could be getting random digital junk. I'll keep it for now, but I can always be persuaded to cancel. The games keep going less and less on value overall, and the games less and less newer (in regards to bundling after they come out).
