Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

Anyone missing out on that controller deal for 25 bucks.   I have a number of walmarts around me that are selling them for 46.XX and you can buy them at one of those and take them back to one where it is clearanced for 25 and get the difference.

I have found Brickseek to be wrong 100% of the time with my local Walmart.

On 5 separate occasions I went to the store based on Brickseek prices,  but on every trip the game was actually only on  "clearance" for 50 cents off MSRP.  I suspect the store is actually leaking bad data to Brickseek on purpose.

Brickseek isn't always right. I have won and lost. It's about perseverance.

Do you mean take it back sealed and get the price difference and then immediately buy it again?

you guys are amateurs, i bought one at $25 and returned it with my old used controller in the package that i bought when they first came out. free new controller.

Why do that with a 25 dollar controller though? Better to keep the cheap one.

Got Far Cry 5 for the Xbox One for $10. It's probably a HUGE YMMV. I think it was an issue with the UPCs of the day one edition and the regular edition. The shelf sticker said $10, the sticker on the case said $25, and it rang up $49.98. They overrode it because the shelf said $10 and you could only see the spine of the case. The Gold version had a $25 sticker, but no shelf sticker so I didn't fight for that one. I would advise checking all the versions that come up in Brickseek for Xbox One

I thought most of them were just joking, but then I read the post about swapping innards...yikes.
PlayStation 4 controllers are the worst when it comes to how the insides are put together. Pads inside on the chips on my last controller were all scuffed up or looked melted. Just never bothered with warranty since it didn't take but 30 days for my controller to start acting up (R2 likes to press on its own while the left analog drifts slightly at times). I still utilize my PS4 more than my Xbox despite the controller issues.

Another gem after finding Far Cry 5. Sticker had $9.88, but it rang up $0.50. Even if it only works for a month it's worth it

Was able to grab the Labo Variety Kit for $19 on clearance yesterday. I know previous mentioned but it was newly marked at mine.

Mine are all black and red. I originally got a black and red one, took them apart and swapped backs. So one is black with a red back and the other is red with a black back. Anytime I have an issue, I buy a new one, take out the innerads and return my old ones.

Why do that with a 25 dollar controller though? Do that with a 60 dollar one, keep the 25 dollar controller.
Get a load of El Hoardo's cousin, El Fraudo.

Thanks for posting all of these!
I was able to find most of the candy I wanted at one store (some were even tagged 25¢ in one of the checkout lanes) and got $24 worth of Jack Links beef jerky at another store.

Heads up for anyone else picking up discounted snacks, make sure to check the expiration dates on everything as some of the candy I saw expired in October of 2018.

I was also able to get a $25 Crystal Dualshock 4. :D

My Haul today was a Clear PS4 Controller for $25, a Glass Screen Protector for the Switch for $5 & a copy of Mega Man 11 for Switch for $4!

Buy Lucky Charms, also buy the Walmart brand knockoff, swap the cereal bags, and then return the Lucky Charms. Boom. Name brand cereal at store brand prices.

I have a similar issue with my mint glacier white controller that I barely used. when I press the l2 button it mimics up on the left joystick. tried blowing air into since the internet says its the sensor. afraid to disassemble it because things like that never fit back together properly %100. the internet says to try to ship it off to sony and they might be nice enough to replace it. unfortunately the glacier white v2 controller is not listed on their repair web page

ymmv, if you live near a gravel road it makes a great substitute for cereal for the return, though mixing with a lighter styrofoam like substance is recommended for more accurate fill levels.

Or the guy that bought a brand new thousand dollar Ipad and found it was just a stone tablet and when he tried to get his money back nobody believed him and wouldn't refund him. He had to go to the local press.

Awesome most of the cheap candy was at my nearest Walmart for a quarter. Only stuff that wasn't was the Hershey bars. Some candy was on clearance that wasn't mentioned.

Peanut butter m&Ms share size
Sour ice breakers
Water melon tic tac gum
Quarter, fifty cents and another quarter.

Thank you thatoneguywho for posting the candy deals earlier.

My inner city Wal-Marts never have NUTTIN, but when I go out to the BOONIES Walmarts its tons of stuff..

However I find it HILARIOUS that the clearance video games are still priced way higher than the normal on sale video games(obviously not $60 semi new releases).

However not all was bad news..  SCORED MAJOR

^^ probably my best Wal-Mart CLEARANCE SCORE ever!!

420 for the total, I mean $4.20 for the total.

Happy Hunting!

You mean clearance sections don't normally look like that?  That's about the norm for me.  Though usually games are up higher and not all on the bottom shelf.

My Walmart clearance section always looks like a tornado just went through, and has about as many deals as a post tornado strike as well.
