I have a ~43" Sharp Roku TV that I put in my office at home. It would only be used once a week for a few hours at a time, and at ~15 months of super light usage the right half of the panel goes to shit. It still works but everything on the right half has a strong blue tint to it. And of course it would cost as much as the TV to replace the panel. That is probably my last Sharp TV.

I'm not sure what's going on at Amazon. I put in an order yesterday, everything is Prime shipping, and only 1 item is arriving tomorrow. The other 3 items won't be here til Saturday. I needed the stuff here by Friday for a cruise I'm going on. Going to have to cancel and find the goods locally. Very disappointing.

My 3 year old curved Samsung is still going strong. I don't even think they make them curved anymore but I really enjoy the aesthetic of it.

Funny thing is, I'm on a 30 day Prime trial to evaluate if it would be worth the overpriced membership. Haven't had Prime in a couple years since we lost my Wife's student discount which to me is the right price for the membership. This has really soured any chance of me subscribing as I've had better speed from Walmart and Best Buy and they don't charge anything for it.

Even today Best Buy is saying you can get your order tomorrow, so Amazon really has no excuses.

 
I wouldn’t base your experience of Amazon Prime through the Christmas season. Everyone is slammed. Logistically it’s a crapshoot when you factor in weather and the mad rush of the last minute shoppers who just now realized Christmas is this week..

I get it, but the evaluation is comparing them to their competition during the same time period. There are stores not charging and they are basically doing next day shipping and Amazon is charging a hefty sum and are telling it's customers too bad. It's a bad look even if Amazon's volume dwarfs the competition and may be a tougher feat for them to accomplish. They are being paid so they should be the ones going above and beyond.

 
Sorry if this was already discussed as I have been out of it the past few days due to surgery.

Last month I had signed up my son’s account for one month of ultimate for a $1 so he can then gift some games to me with his points at the Black Friday sale prices.

i then switched the recurring billing to the 5 cents a day deal when that popped up. I checked the account today and it has started billing it at 5 cents a day. I had 30 cents left in Microsoft credit so it is using that first. Will be interesting to see if they actually charge 5 cents a day to my credit card in a few days.

gamegirl mostly covered it but there is one thing to consider in your situation. There is the DLC that lets you catch up on the story and more importantly make the bigger decisions from 1 and 2 then "import" them like a normal save. I never messed with this but I hear it works fine, though some of the smaller stuff isn't included.

I wouldn't go into ME3 expecting it to look dramatically better on X though. None of the ME trilogy were enhanced. ME1 still runs like trash on X with a bunch of frame drops, though that's about the same as 360 performance, and with the engine upgrade on 2 and 3 they run fine.

I'm sure that's what they'll do, but it might be wise to just reload your Microsoft account than see a nickel charged daily and maybe even have your card company block the charge because it gets flagged as fraud or unauthorized costing you that great price. It works out to $18.25 a year, so just load a $20 Microsoft card on there and forget about it til next year.

No DLC is included for ME3 with either EA access or ME Trilogy for PS3. The citadel DLC is stinking $14.99.

It's been happening ever since I had my OG Xbox One. Same with S and now the X. I think M$ just screwed it up and didn't bother fixing it. It will work and not work for the exact same game regardless of when it came out. I am currently playing Headlander and the resume is there but when I go to the game, it takes me back to the game title screen. I am also playing life is strange season 2 and sometimes I can resume my game and sometimes I can't. I am not even using any other apps either.

Thanks for the heads up. This is the only thread I check pretty much daily. Might have missed this otherwise. Traded my 1+ year old X. Got a new console with one year warranty, white controller and a game I will never play for $25 trade credit no tax since I used all trade credit. Will probably dump the controller next controller promo they do. Don't need 3 controllers. Woman was cool she let me trade in the black controller so I didn't have to trade my red Gears of War controller or get charged a refurb fee. All my games were on an external drive so swapping over was cake.

Amazons shipping seems very dependent on item. I thought I trashed the mother board for the pc I am building to the point of buying a new one and was hoping to get one in before the holidays so I can mess with it during my time off. Amazon wasn’t going to be able to get it here until after Xmas, Best Buy was the better option with it showing up tomorrow after ordering it on Friday. Luck for me I just had the power button wired wrong and I don’t need the board anyway.

Yeah, I think they came out this week. I'm all for Christmas bikinis but pretty much all the costume DLC has been lazy as hell for DOA6. This is like the 10th set that was basically a model of the exact same thing swapped between all the women.

Thanks for the heads up. By the time I got back from trading in, they had sold out of the extra controller. Oh well, still a great deal. $100 to upgrade my bro's S and $25 to replace my taco bell x1x that's fans were getting loud. Also replaced some super old controllers and cheap hdmi cables.


Of course I just now realized that I might miss out on the xmas punchcard if the new one doesn't arrive in time.. I didn't really have enough in cart so I can probably just wait for more than $5 off Blasphemous.

Before getting a new one, I suggest attempting to replace the capacitor. I've not replaced one on a 4k tv but soldered many a capacitor on 1080 flat screens. I imagine it's very similar. New cap shouldn't cost more than $10 on amazon.

What's the worst that could happen? It stops working completely? It will do that eventually anyway.

I almost missed out on the free white controller too. She thought they were out of the white and scanned a black one. Obviously that didn't work. The other guy said I think we have one up high. He got the ladder and got it down. Last one they had. I would have been ok without it but glad I was able to get it.

Maybe you can do a return/rebuy at another GS to get it? You shouldn't have to even bring the console in. Just a thought.

You probably could of sold the Taco Bell one for more than 225 easily to a collector.

I got the new Taco Bell one and I traded in my old Xbox one x and I feel sometimes my new Taco Bell one is a bit laggy...it’s not even a month old. My old Xbox one x was never laggy
 
River City Girls is $21. That's tempting. My backlog is ridiculous and says I should wait for at least half, but I really love me a good beat em up.

Brand new taco bell xboxes are available on ebay for $350, with box and elite controller. I got to keep the box for sentimentality and the elite which still works great (grips came loose recently tho). That pretty much covers the difference, assuming I could even get $350 for a loud, heavily used, last year's model from a potsmoker's home.

My xbox x had been in turbo fan mode for the last six months or so, regardless of activity. I was starting to worry it wouldn't last me until the XSX comes out. Also, I left my phone at home while trading in so I was still under the impression I'd get the bonus controller. There's nothing in my order that shows the promo, so I doubt it would get honored for a return/rebuy.


I gave my bro my ps4 for xmas and am now realizing I only have my phone and ipad for gaming until the xbox arrives...
 
I folded and got a second X with the gamestop deal. I have a problem of only keeping special controllers but decided it was time to part ways with the naval camo one that was best buy exclusive that they just remade. $54 out of pocket and I'll sell the black controller and NBA2k19 code.

The website said one of the closest gamestops to me had it in stock but when I got there they were having a store closing clearance sale which means they don't take trade ins or honor regular store sales. Went to another store that didn't have it and just traded all my stuff in and ordered it online with the gift card they gave me.
 
Missed the free gift card and the better than Black Friday TV deal. That'll teach me to not constantly F5 the thread.

Kinda regret getting a 4k 65" TCL 4-series on Black Friday for $400 now.

did all of your squad survive ME2? Or I guess another way to look at it is did some not make it and you want them to stay “no make it”?

I’d keep playing on the same platform but that’s just me.

Bigger question is why have you not played ME 3 yet??? Drop whatever game you are playing and get on it!!!
 
Well, first game I beat on my TCL is Spider-man on the PS4. That is a very ridiculously pretty (especially on the PS4 Slim) and well written and fun game. I'm bummed we won't be getting a Sunset Overdrive 2 from Insomniac, but I'm happy to see them just build off of so much from that game into something as refined as Spider-man with the web slinging.

Also I'm realizing more and more that it is stupid hard after awhile switching back and forth daily between playing the XBox One and any other console for that daily achievement challenge. Like XBox One has become the wife I gotta come home to and every other console when I play a lengthy game is my long business trip mistress.

I think you were supposed to reply to me. Not everyone made it. I didn't know they could. Pretty much everyone here and on another board told me to stick with the PS3 so that's what I'll do. I haven't played it yet because I have a lot of games in my backlog. I am playing Headlander and Shenmue 3 right now. I am going to play Horizon Zero Dawn after I am done with Shenmue. Maybe ME3 will be after that.

My 4 1/2 year old daughter walked in on me reliving this movie trailer(saw it years ago in the theater), I said, "ouh watch out!! This is the exact opposite of Santa I warned you about, evil Krampus who'll take your toys away and you from your family if you're a bad girl!!"......she shrugged & said, "that's the evil man who keeps getting killed by others in the game you play." So yes, she recognized the Krampus Gears 5 multiplayer skin I play as and she roasted me even though I have a nearly 2:1 kill/death ratio.

This child probably wouldn't even shrug her shoulders at the face melting scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Stinking "Americanized" child. She prolly thinks the gremlins are funny, like Chucky is SMH

The punchcard said I had to spend $50 and total was $78 ( only $43 cash as I had $35 Xbox credit to use). I go into it and it said I was still under somehow, Disrtust and Goliath Premium Survival Bundle was not part of the games toward this but it was only $8.98 for me. My games were not appearing in recent game purchases so I log out go back in and they are there.

Then I check the Microsoft Rewards app again and the punchcard changed to only needing to spend $40, which was now ticked lol.
