From the store page it looks like RAGE 2 is getting a 'deluxe' edition where you won't have to buy RAGE coins to get the DLC.
That's the same content in the Deluxe Edition that you can get from Retail (for PC) and digitally [for Bethesda.Net Launcher].

Terrormania DLC is not listed there and still is missing (even on Epic).

In other words, you'll still need to buy (500) Coins to get the last DLC.

Probably asking too much to hope for some kind of deluxe physical release ... I miss big Blizzard releases getting an overpriced box of swag plus discs.

I haven't touched Overwatch in forever and wont anymore, but some of these changes look unique for the sequel. PVE was the worst in the original, so they can't go much worse than that. I'm usually not crazy for story in the multiplayer shooters, but who knows. I do like the skill trees. Diablo 2 frankly looks like a bore to me, but I had my fill ages ago and the remaster looks good, but not really anything great either. Just my opinions of course. The arcade thing is pretty cool though as Lost Vikings should be remembered.

Mafia: Definitive Edition:

After 11.2 hours according to Steam, Mafia: Definitive Edition with its Story Mode/Campaign comes to an end...and indeed, what an end it was!

Mafia: Definitive Edition is nothing short of great, modernizing & improving on some of the issues of the original classic Mafia wherever necessary; much improved combat & gunplay (namely from Mafia 3's combat system); much improved graphics; and a retelling the classic Mafia's story. If you love gangster movies and video games: this is one here for the ages, as the voice-acting, dialogue, cinematics, and everything is excellent here.

When it comes down to it: this is an excellent remake of the original game that fans of the original classic and especially gamers who never played the original classic should take on.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is an offer that no gamer should refuse.

Mafia III: Definitive Edition - Stones Unturned DLC:

After a little over 3 hours with this DLC, the Stones Unturned DLC is now also complete & in the books. This action-packed extravaganza is nothing short of awesome, despite its brevity. Donovan from the CIA is having his past come back to haunt him & needs to take on this foe in this very important string of missions here...with your assistance, without getting too far into spoiler turf & into the story here.

Just like M3's other DLC's, this also introduces a new mechanic & more mission variety again. This time, you will have Donovan with you as a AI-controlled teammate for...well, pretty much the entire DLC. No doubt about it, you'll definitely need him & need to revive him (when he gets shot & knocked down), as these shootouts in this action-packed DLC are often in big open-spaced arenas of sorts with lots of enemies to take down. As usual, per Mafia 3 standards here, the voice-acting, storytelling, dialogue & story is again excellent.

There's very little complain about here with this DLC, as the DLC's action-packed & a non-stop roller-coaster ride, once again adding even more variety to help aid the tons of repetitive issues that plagued M3 base-game's content.

Simply put: this is another short & excellent DLC overall here that is a must play.

For anyone that has played any of the dlc for Control, how much would you recommend it? Was debating giving it a shot on gamepass to see how my new pc handles it but if the dlc is worthwhile I might just wait and grab the ultimate edition for $15 next time its on sale and play doom eternal on gamepass instead.

The dlc is fun but shorter then Ted Cruz's plane ride

It seems a bit going against Overwatch's design paradigm to be in a game, looking at a hero, and not have a clear idea what skillset you're up against. But I guess there's an argument that breaking from the very clear-cut abilities of each hero introduces some element of surprise that could spice the game up a bit. More room for communication between teammates, identifying each enemy hero's build etc.

Also much more room for me to be paralyzed in multiplayer deciding which build to go for, ending up building out an off-meta build of a hero that's useless to me and having to start all over again etc. Also more room for me to decide to never even bother dropping into the game each season because it feels like way too much of an investment to build out a hero.

Unless the skill trees are just something you unlock each tier of one-time for each hero, and then you get to select your build-out independently each match?

Bloodlines 2 sounds like a wait for heavy discount whenever it comes out. Sad, cause Bloodlines was good albeit extremely buggy when it came out. Will wait and see. I wont wait for it at all.

Bloodlines was good albeit extremely buggy and obviously unfinished when it came out.
Fixed. I’n not blaming Troika necessarily, as I have no real insight into how development for their games worked and who might have ultimately been at fault, but those games certainly have a history of development troubles, so if anything, it’s entirely fitting that Bloodlines 2 shouldn’t be exempt from that.

Video from YongYeah on the Bloodlines 2 situation.

https://youtu.be/rfC1z43HjMI

So, it looks like there's already another dev team at work on salvaging, revamping, and/or doing whatever on Bloodlines 2.

It's around 1m15s into the video.

So, hmmm...who's working on it now?

Could it be the team (Cyanide) that did Werewolf TA: Earthblood?

There's also been rumors of Microsoft trying to buy Paradox too, so...if Paradox can't save the project, maybe Microsoft swoops in and buys Paradox?

I mean, heck - at Microsoft, they literally have RPG houses like Bethesda; Obsidian (with Leonard Boyarsky and Tim Cain, from Bloodlines 1 fame); and InXile all under the Microsoft umbrella.

EDIT:

Surely, if anyone could save the project properly, somehow - you could just look at those Microsoft RPG studios, as long as M$ buys out Paradox.

Yup.

https://www.gematsu.com/2021/02/more-playstation-games-coming-to-pc-starting-with-days-gone-this-spring

And supposedly there are a bunch more Sony titles in the works to make it to PC. I'm hoping for Bloodborne, Demon's Souls and Ghost of Tsushima.
The more the better. I'm pretty impressed with the the PS5 updates for Days Gone and Tsusima and of course Demon's Souls looks and plays great so I'll pass on the PC versions but I still hope they are coming. Bloodborne is the big one since that game desperately needs some optimization but I also feel like it's the least likely of the bunch. Even though it's a fairly recent game I'd love for Bluepoint to take it on.

I never had one around me, but saw plenty of people talk about them...
Funky electronics chain Fry’s is no more

Place was a wasteland in the Houston locations at least. Always was having stock issues and the stock in store kept shrinking and shrinking. I will miss it, but the writing has been on the wall for these locations anyway.

Anthem support dropped by EA and BioWare, as they'll now work on the next Mass Effect & Dragon Age titles:

Yep, the two I used in houston area have been 80% empty for some time. Last thing I bought from them was a 7600k. For a while now I've been driving directly past 2 Frys to go to Microcenter across town. I stopped taking them seriously once they started the "be one of the first to get a secret password" discount gimmick.

One of the last time I went was when they started price matching, finally.

So I go to price match something from Amazon to support B&M. They gave me a hard time, insisted on charging me for shipping or the equivalent of a Prime annual membership (for something that had free shipping on Amazon, and I didn't have Prime).

I walked out and price matched it at Best Buy.

On another note has anyone played Curse of the Dead Gods? Seems to be my type of game. I will likely do my less than 2 hour trial on Steam.
It's excellent. I got it on Xbox yesterday. If you liked that Skul game you were playing enough to finish it, you will more than likely love Curse. It is another hard one. It got a 9 on ign.

If I can manage to beat Skul fully only twice in almost 60 hours (I really got decent at it despite these horrible win totals), I'm sure I'll have a blast with it. Skul I'm done likely forever with. It's just unfair. I like hard games, but not ones where you blink and you lose like 1/4 of your life in one or two hits. I do like roguelite/like games, so I will try it for sure.

This has been bundled and on sale plenty before, but I feel the need to say, "If you are even remotely interested in tactics, you should check out Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun."

It's on sale on Steam right now for 90% off. It's $3.99. Three freaking ninety nine.

If the word "tactics" sounds a little dry, don't be put off. That's in there basically to give a little thoughtfulness to the stealth elements required to take on a rebellion in Edo-period Japan with a small team of assassins. It's a long and beautiful game that moves at your speed.

Easily one of my favorite games of the last ten years.

The only thing I ever bought from Fry's was a can opener. One of those electric ones that you place on top of the can and then it automatically does everything else. The best thing about the can opener was that it would create a smooth edge on the lid so you couldn't cut yourself on it. Word has it they also sold computer stuff and various high-end electronics. I can't confirm those rumors, I only ordered the can opener.

It broke a few years back, BTW.

Dragon Age 4 is going back to being a Single Player Game without Multiplayer.

Info:

- DA4 is no longer a Live Service Game.

- DA4 is back to being a Single Player Game, after the success of Jedi: Fallen Order (from Respawn)...

- ...and also b/c Anthem failed as a Live Service & Multiplayer game.

- EA has given BioWare the greenlight to remove all Multiplayer & online "games as service" components of the game.

So after the last patch Valheim completely kills my fiber if I try to play multiplayer.  A few minutes of playing and I lose tv and internet and my modem/router restarts and after a couple minutes everything is back but if I try to play Valheim MP again, it dies within minutes.  Single player is fine.   So that is bad.  Found a few more people saying the same thing and some complaints of it eating a TON of bandwidth.

Might I suggest a nice multivitamin?

Maybe not...

Monster Hunter Rise now confirmed to be coming to PC in early 2022:

https://www.gematsu.com/2021/02/monster-hunter-rise-coming-to-pc-in-early-2022

Sucks that it's going to be a similar case to Monster Hunter World (where the PC version didn't come out until much later), but at least they're being upfront about it again.
Neat. I still want a Switch eventually, but I don’t do enough MP to justify paying for it on console, so it’ll be nice to have the option on PC with Rise.
