• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2026. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Gears 5 Operation 8 released earlier with new achievements. There was supposed to be a gap between when the download became available and when the backend servers updated. Was going to try to start the game during that window to see if the achievement for reaching Legend 25 in an Operation would pop. I see it's popped for others, including Antarael Dulacre, and is currently worth 51k on TA. Forgot to try earlier (damn job), and the game currently doesn't load for me. Just cycling on the loading screen. I see a thread on the official forums that some accounts are getting stuck upon start up and progress is reset, though the backend servers this have the progress. I see 4 people on TA have also already unlocked Seriously 5.0 Chapter 2, though that's supposed to require 2 maps that haven't released yet. Hurray for testing!

The update also hasn't shown up on PC yet, at least for me.

Yeah the Legendary Operator did pop for me and my mate yesterday even though it wasn't supposed to be retroactive (woldn't be that hard to get to legend 25 though... saw also that 2 people popped the Re-Up 60 already yesterday within an hour which shouldn't be possible at all... because none of the XP after reaching re-up 50 was tracked...

However the game itself was still showing 2000 GS instead of 25000 and none of the new achievements could be seen on the game neither the ones locked nor unlocked. Still the case right now..it doesn't sow the new GS or the achievements on xbox live..

I really wish, they would have also nerfed the VS achievements down...

btw we started the game after said window, from 10 am PDT we were able to download the update and 12pm PDT the actual live update came in 3 minutes after we started and some achievements popped.

EDIT: Another hard reset fixed the score and the achievements are showing now, the last few operations that had achievements, it worked doing the same just right after the update...

I'm not the hugest multiplayer shooter guy but it's been cool to see the positive reaction to Halo Infinite. In particular it's really intriguing to see reactions from a younger generation of shooter fans coming from a purely battle royale background, talking about being surprised about the small map size or the importance of melee and grenades instead of guns being everything.

Damnit, I got gifted the ODST DLC for Halo MCC but they accidentally bought the PC version (which is included in the Halo MCC PC bundle) but it didn't warn me upon redemption so now they can't get a refund and it didn't even count towards their punchcard.

100%. The new arrangements capture the magic and tone of the original while also feeling fresh and original. Hoping it makes it to Series X eventually.

I loved dying light and the expansion DLC. But I did play about 50% of it in co-op, which I think enhances it when dealing with the tougher zombies. But I enjoyed my solo sessions too. I wouldn’t go into it treating it like a shooter. There are guns, but they aren’t plentiful at first, and honestly the makeshift melee weapons are much more fun. The parkour takes a little getting used to, but it lets you get a tactical advantage on human enemies with guns, or let’s you get out of danger quickly. I’d say go for it, and if you don’t have anyone to co-op with I’m sure anyone on this thread including myself could join you. I need to dust off my skills to prep for dying light 2.

Thanks for the feedback. That helps. I tried watching some people stream it last night but most of them weren’t really playing. I might get it but I think anything else I buy will just sit in my backlog forever.

Love the FF talk. I actually got to the train graveyard on the remake and said I really want to play this on my Xbox instead. Hope it's out soon. I also fully agree it was great and the music is probably one of the best video game of all time. I'll admit I am enjoying the X3 accelerators in fights and certain dialogues to help with finishing the game before it leaves on gamepass

For anyone who had issues with The Ascent, there’s a 5.7gb update out. I can’t find patch notes, but hopefully it fixes a lot of the various bugs.

Just went to fire it up and it was updating. Showing 2.75gb for me on X1S.

Still couldn't find the patch notes, but did find some were talking about UI update and added a difficulty choice in the menu for Xbox. Read somewhere that the steam version had the difficulty selection since release.

Got it downloaded and played for a little bit. Only thing I'm notice is the difficulty choice is there. And it's already crashed/closed itself once.

Damnit, I got gifted the ODST DLC for Halo MCC but they accidentally bought the PC version (which is included in the Halo MCC PC bundle) but it didn't warn me upon redemption so now they can't get a refund and it didn't even count towards their punchcard.
MCC really should have been crossbuy or at least have better indicators of which platform it's for.

If you can use mods on the version you buy for the PC, look at some of the 7th heaven stuff. Really great enhancers for the game.

I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone that might be interested in purchasing the Metro Saga Bundle which includes Metro 2033 Redux, Metro Last Light Redux and Metro Exodus Gold Edition (Xbox Series X/S enhanced) which includes both expansion packs.

Metro Exodus looks awesome on the Series X and it really showcases ray-tracing very well. Just FYI, only Metro Exodus and it's DLC is Xbox Series X enhanced, not Metro 2033 Redux or Metro Last Light Redux.

I just bought it at gameflip.com for $8.94 (which is a steal IMO) but FYI it's the argentina code, but just as long as you use a VPN you can redeem it with zero issues.

Just to make sure you or anyone else is aware, it's either a rotating list or an updating list with new stuff each week. Ha I'd be pretty much done with Death's Door and Blight Bound but I'm a dumbass and didn't wait for punch card.

Decided to preorder Aliens Fireteam Elite and threw in Trigger Witch to get over the $50 mark for the punch card. Was using the 15% off CashApp boost but forgot that preorders don’t charge immediately. Even the punch card only counted the $13 for Trigger Witch for now.

Hopefully that CashApp boost will be live when they charge Aliens. Oh well, we’ll see.
