It doesn't surprise me at all. Ours hasn't gotten but a few copies of a few new releases in months, and I think the only consoles they've had since before Christmas is a couple Wiis and a few 3DS.
As you pointed out, selling video games really isn't worth it for most places. The profit margins...
Nice to know you generalize thousands of employees by a handful that you've encountered. All the employees at my two local Movie Galleries are incredibly nice, even the employees at the closing one have remained ultra great. And the ones at Blockbuster are about 80% cool, with a couple idiots...
I've now had this problem on two copies.
Ichi the Killer blu-ray has audio that's about 1-2 seconds out of sync with the video. Incredibly distracting. I returned one copy to Amazon and my second does the same thing. Anyone else having this issue?

Hrm. Don't know if this was just a one time thing, or a storewide policy, but if you're buying a former rental DVD that says "2-disc special edition" or something similar, have them double check that the second disc is actually in there. I got a DVD that said that at a closing MG, got it home...
Well, poo. One of my local stores is closing. So far got new copies of de Blod and Too Human for $11 and $12. New rentals weren't on sale yet. Nabbed about 5 DVDs so far.

Man... I used to look forward to seeing this posted on Thursdays. It seemed like every week there was at least ONE thing that was good... It's now at the point where I sometimes don't even think to look at the ad until the sale week is almost over. BLAH!
