hey ... just wanted to start a thread on upcoming PS3 news ... so that people on the fence about getting one won't have to go through the entire internet to get updated.
There's news of a potential price drop as well as possible new bundles, and even a "slimmer" version of the PS3.
Updates...
just called up Rogers ... confirmed that there is no 2/40 on previously played video games for this weekend.:hot: they've been piling up used games in the past month or so ... but its because they will be introducing the "trade-ins" system (similar to EB / FS) in the month of June.
Oh well...
so buy 2 games and get the 3rd one free ... hmmm ... so $65 x 2 = $130
$130 / 3 = $43.33 per game (price per game aint hot)
I'm using the PPV prices for SF4, Killzone ...
better wait for the 2/40 PPV game sale:roll:
yeah ... the sale was for a day ... but stock disappeared at most EB locations in a matter of hours once people knew the price dropped to $10 ...
in your case, the clueless EB CSR bumped the tiv of your game by $5 before the system bumped up your TIV by $5 as well. Enjoy your "extra" $50 EB credit ... some guys get all the luck :bouncy:
from my conversations with several EB locations, the way it works is as follows:
trade 3 or 4 qualified games, each game traded in is bumped up $3.34
trade 5 to 7 qualified games, each game traded in is bumped up $4.00
trade 8 or more qualified games, each game traded in is bumped up $5.00...
i'd check your "friendly" local BBVs ... if there are any in your area ... seems like they've dropped prices significantly on NDS lite, PSP, xbox360 and some ps3 3rd party accessories as well. :bouncy:
as of this past Wednesday, I confirmed the TIV at $18 at two EB locations. But the TIV dropped on Thursday to $2.
Goomba ... any idea what the TIV of Xbox 360 GH3 is in the US? I'm probably going to head down in July for the "annual" shopping trip ... 8-)
confirmed TIV of $2 at two EB locations yesterday. Now with the free GH3 when you buy the xbox 360 at bb or fs, it appears that the TIV will stay low for a while longer ... maybe in August it will go back up.
