They claim that they're working on fixing the bugs with the ports, but who knows how dedicated they are to that. At this point I'd say wait and see if they follow through on that before buying.
I disagree, HL2 has numerous tactical fighting situations that top anything the first game had to offer. For example
And personally I found Blue Shift more fun than Opposing Force.
So far
Simcity 4 Deluxe
Future Pack
Mass Effect 2

Recettear
Oddbox
Winterbottom
Super Meat Boy
Almost bought, but passed up Serious Sam HD Gold, Amnesia, Borderlands goty, and Spore.
Been thinking about the 2k mega pack, though I already have 10 of the games in it...
GotY adds achievements and the zombatar, the zombie avatar maker like the one on the game's official web site, you design a zombie and during play the zombie you designed shows up as the flag bearer for every wave. It also replaced the Michael Jackson zombie with a disco zombie.
Super Meat Boy for $3.75? Yes please.
On top of that about 80% of my wishlist is on sale, wow...

Actually I've noticed the contrary since the 'shut down' as it seems like all the obsessively anti-drm/anti-Steam trolls have left their community and they were the most annoying.
Abandonware sites won't even have the downloads anymore because you know, that's kind of the point of abandonware: let you download games that are not currently sold officially. Sites that let you download games that are currently sold by any official means are not abandonware sites, they're...
Gog posted a teaser video today, and it looks like this whole thing is probably a pr stunt regarding an announcement that they've achieved a deal to sell Baldur's Gate through gog.
That would be one of the biggest deals the site has ever made, and definitely something worthy of them making such...

But this post on a Sacred 2 forum explains a method to force the expansion to work with the US version of the game. Don't know how reliable it is though.
Not to mention that GameTap has game files hidden so you're also sol if you have an itch to play around with mods or config files. Example, Fallout Tactics has a bonus mission that has to be enabled by a cfg file, and chances are that GameTap isn't going to have that enabled.
