I tried the demo, it wasn't my cup of tea. Not sure why the text just flies by in a game intended for kids who aren't going to necessarily be able to read it that fast.
The villager maker does not work for me. I put in my code and hit "redeem code" and nothing happens. It just makes a metallic noise. Tried on IE and Chrome.
Hope the actual game is better programmed. :(
Through books sold by merchants and/or through dialogue choices with characters in the game. Some specializations can be gained from your party members, some through plot choices.
I don't think they're going to "go after" anybody who cancels their credit card or otherwise can't be billed. There will be enough people who don't hear about this and get repeatedly billed year after year after year to keep them in business for a long time.
Tried the demo last night. It's pretty damn cool. At one point, we got a message that one of us had "awoken the Witch". "Is that bad?" I asked. It turns out that yes, it is bad. Very very bad.
You know that the conference is in trouble when the first thing they do is wheel out some random old lady and she rambles for about 15 minutes about some snowboarding trip she once took.
