I was nervous about that game at first because of the slight change in direction, but I loved it and played the hell out of it. Maxed out so many of the jobs for my characters. And I spent WAY too much time post-game finding maps and killing dungeon bosses....

Another reason to buy digital (for a small percentage of the population):  my PS3 stopped reading discs.  Rather than get a new one (or try to get it fixed), I just bought the last several games digitally.

I'm just about to get the ship (I assume - I have the letter of passage now). I think I'm about 16 hours in and I've been trying to do all the side quests. The AI is total crap, though it mostly only affects the boss fights. It sucks when it should be a 2 v 1 but your partner dies right away...

I'm not even playing this anymore, but it's awesome to see that the developer is paying close attention and fixing issues and balancing the game still.

I really enjoyed DD:DA. It took me a little while to get into it, but once I did I ended up putting over 100 hours in, I think. I really hope they make a sequel.

I also just started Ni No Kuni. I am just beat the second boss. Really slow start, but the graphics and music are awesome. I'm still adjusting to the battle system - it seems a bit weird.

Is it possible to download these and transfer to my mp3 player somehow so I can listen in my car?  I don't use iTunes.   Nevermind, I figured it out.  You can right-click and Save As on the play button on their site.

Io - you should give the Dark Souls DLC a try if you never played it.  I picked that up a year after finishing the game, I think, and still had a lot of fun with it.  Actually, I think having a longer break between playing the main game so much and playing the DLC is good, so it feels more...

I am glad they're coming out with DLC, but they really need to stop emphasizing that there will be no DLC when they talk about the game before launch.  Geez.

I guess I've gotten fairly lucky with drops?  I had several blacksteel katanas.  I also got a Lion Warrior helm my first time through there, which was pretty useful because it reduces fall damage.  

That's hilarious.  I used to use a similar trick back when I was 10 or 11 years old and playing Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?  I always knew if I went to the right place if the disk access was going crazy :) Unfortunately, I bought DS2 via PSN, so I don't have a disk.  I'll just do it...
