just sent off the refurb they sent me, along with the power supply. Mine is also going back via fedex overnight delivery. So it should arrive sometime tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping that sending in the power supply equals new machine. If they send another POS refurb that makes noise, back...

I have to send my power supply in as well, I wonder if this means we might get new one's back. I told them to not even think of sending me the POS they just sent me back. I guess we will find out soon enough. Nice to hear about the overnight shipping, at least that is a positive.

it is BS that the only cover RROD, gpu failures should be covered also. They know there machines are not reliable but will only admit to the RROD. If you pay 100$ to fix it you are now at 500$ invested, that's just not right. In the case of the refurbs they send you they only give a 3...

A friend of mine had the same thing happen to his 360, they wanted 100$ to fix it. He managed to negotiate the fee down to 25-30$ which is around the price of a warranty. You should try and get them to reduce the fee.

I called microsoft and they are sending me another coffin. This time they want me to send the power supply back as well. I hope this means that I will receive a new 360 back. The one they sent me just makes to many strange noises to keep. You pay 400$ for a new machine and they send you back...

yes, that is what it sounds like. Doesn't make you feel to good about using it. It also makes a sound when turning it off.

do you think it's worth sending it back and saying that there is something wrong with it? you don't want to be stuck with a machine that is obviously used. A refurb is bad enough but it shouldn't look like you bought it at a pawn shop.
