Oh, is it looking like those upgrades (Death Stranding, FFVIIR, this, whatever else) are going to be fixed price? I follow the logic, but I didn't realize.

I own Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, and the DIRECTOR’S CUT is currently still showing $29.99 for me. Hm. Wondering if the price will update later, or if us early adopters are just out of luck this sale.

Yeah, I think that's what's bothering me. I assumed that if I bought the game, and jumped through the hoops, I'd get the pins. That seemed like the deal. It never occurred to me that I'd be gambling, or camping for a flash sale, or whatever nonsense.

I'm honestly not even sure why I'm as sad as I am about missing the stupid pins, but I somehow missed that the codes would be live at a specific time today, and apparently that's just that. Rough.

Is this an unpopular opinion? I very much agree! If you want to play a Dark Souls game proper, 3 is definitely the one that plays the most like Bloodborne (though still pretty different).

Unless you're in the explicit "Multiplayer" mode, I believe it's bots with players' names slapped onto them. Anybody have any sense of how much of this game we need to play to complete the mission? One event race? All of the event races? One pull of the ol' pipe (ifyaknowwhatImean)? I know it...

Should be noted that part of the wacky circumstances are that the Switch version doesn't have the content from the last big update (co-op and New Game+).

Cal is boring. Starkiller was also boring. Both games are fun though. (Fallen Order has some Horizon vibes, and some Sekiro/Dark Souls 1 vibes, that make it a little more my jam, but YMMV and all that).
