When I called, the tech I spoke to said they were updating XBL and as a result these emails were sent. I also had her verify that I was not going to get charged $50 for a renewal until April when my membership is set to auto renew.

There is supposed to be a dismemberment feature, so I would hope that it would be gory. I also like how you can customize your weapons with etchings and such, and how if some one picks up your weapon they'll be able to see it.

I received both of those emails yesterday, and called XBL (1-800-4MY-XBOX), because I'm not supposed to auto-renew until April of next year. The lady I spoke to said they were doing updates to XBL, and the updates were causing the notifications. She also said I would not be charged the $50 again...
