Some of them have sold all of the 50 cent, so they may still be in stock, but you won't get the 50 cent price. You have to click on the title to make sure. And shipping does show up as $0.99 per CD, but it goes away when you finally pay. The site is extremely slow at the moment because of the rush of people too.

haha.. i know what you mean. I spend an hour browsing the site, and didn't come up with anything THAT great. But I think it was worth it for 64 CDs.
 
It never really did occur to me how much crappy music there was in the 90's. And it all sort of followed the same pattern. All rap covers looked the same, and same thing with metal/dance/alternative rock/etc. This is amazing, I haven't heard of so much of this.
 
They did actualy have some good stuff available at one time, but you click on it and its back to normal price :(
 
I just gave up. I really probably wouldn't listen to these more than once (if at all), and they would probably be bumped off my iPod pretty quickly.
 
There's actually a free shipping deal going on now. So not only are there a handful of decent .50 cds, you won't even pay shipping on them. I'm definitely gonna pick a few things up.

I actually found a good one. AIf you are a Eminem fan, order the Sway and Hi-Tek album - This or That. It contains 2(?) Eminem tracks (accroding to Ohhla.com), one of which is a posse track that actually got quite a bit of airplay and had a tight video where the Eminem was a paper cut out like Parappa the Rapper. The song is called the Anthem and the video can be seen here

There are a few interesting finds.

Mark Snow album (xfiles composer) along with a couple xfile soundtracks (xfiles, and songs in the key of x). OST to warhammer and what looks like an old fmv capcom game (foxhunt). Also found Thanks to Gravity... a fairly good album. No one has ever heard of them, I wouldn't have myself except that I saw them set up and perform on the beach years back.

What I really was hoping for was a used copy of ANY album which has Bill Withers' classic Lovely Day on it. But all their $3.99 cds with that track are OOS. One of the best voices ever to hit mainstream music. So what if it was disco?
 
I recommend Prime STH-Underneath the Surface, they're a band from Sweden, not very well known.

I got abunch of joke albums. I always give people rides and put in awkward music so this helped out a lot.

I've seen Hootie twice since 2002 and they really are a underrated group. It's a shame that they suffer from debut album backlash.

For some reason, it doesn't show up until you are ready to pay.
 
I ended up with these 14 from the .50 sale. It's too bad I didn't get on this sooner or I would have had another 15 or 20 discs easy. There were a lot of others I wanted but they were all out of stock now. Maybe they'll do this again sometime.

I would highy reccomend the self-titled album by Pacifier. If you like good rock but are sick of all the boring, generic shit like Nickelback clogging up the radio then you'll love it, especially for a mere 50 cents (!). Also, Forcable Entry ain't so bad either.
 
I got the first few of my CDs from them today. None of the .50 yet, but all four of the 3.99 discs showed up. They were shipping inside regular bubble mailers. 3 of the 4 were in jewel cases, 2 of which are busted (one broken hinge, one broken disc hub). The fourth is a digipack release which was in great shape, aside from a sticker on the cover and a huge PROMO across it in black marker. All four discs seem fine but I haven't listened to them to be sure yet.

Their site says they'll replace jewel cases, but I don't know if I even care enough to bother with those. I do plan to complain about the other one though. It says right on the site that they sell no promo CDs and if you get one they'll replace it at their expense. I wouldn't mind, but I can't handle the marker all over the liner notes.

EDIT: All the CDs play just fine. No skips or anything.
 
Got my first batch of .50 CDs today. All the cases are busted, but the CDs are in perfect condition and all the inserts are perfect. Not bad for the price :D
I have a normal priced $5.99 used CD I bought also on its way. That will be my official judge of the site.
