I was at best buy yesterday and they have these "Red" magazine laying around for free. It was their premiere issue, its a magazine for ATI graphic cards. Anyways, in the back of the magazine are coupons for $10 off any game over 29.99 along with other coupons for ATI products. It doesnt specify whether you can use it for PC games or console games---so i asked the cashier if i can use it for PS2 games, and he said yes.

check your local bestbuy for RED magazine. I found it in the video game section.
Are you guys getting this to work with printouts or are there still magazines laying around at the stores?

*Edit: And if you are getting it to work at the store with the printout, can someone link it please?
A scanned coupon was posted a couple pages back in this thread...I've already printed and used it about 7 times this week.

Good luck, it DOES work on $29.99 games but YMMV.

If you wanted to use $10 off .....makesure don't hit any OLD Cashier Register or People who working at BB for too long (they're pretty pickup & read all the information on the coupon or Computer screen).

Recommanded....Go to FRESH face cashier or Friendly & happy Teenager cashier cuz they KOOL and didn't care much about Stuff ;)

I'm gonna go try this soon. Thing that sucks is that there are like 3 DS games I want right now... I imagine bringing 3 games and 3 printed coupons to the register would be pushing my luck XD

Did you get them all with printed coupons? And did you just bring them up all at once and have the cashier do seperate transactions?

Unless someone can produce me some good $29.99 games to buy besides the following, I'll go pick up just D3: RoE:

Ninja Gaiden Black (already have it)
Painkiller Black (bought Painkiller @ $9.99 CC sale already)
We

I used about half and half original color prints and regular coupons.

On two occasions with two games each I asked the cashier to ring them up separately. One cashier gave me a hard time, one did not.

As for more games...

There's Pirates. Rome Total War, Sacred, Age of Mythology Colection, Call of Duty Collection, and a few more. But some of those have been just as cheap or cheaper elsewhere. but if you missed them nows the time to buy. Like Dawn of War. Go to BB, get DoW for $20 after coupon. Then PM por get the Expansion at Circuit City for $10. Though about three months ago DoW was also 10 at CC. I picked it up then.

And I haven't mentioned non PC games.

About the above:
Rome: Total War - have it from $19.99 Black Friday sale last year @ EB
AoM Collection - picked it up between $9.99 purchases from CC sale in July
Pirates - debating about PC or Xbox versions
WH4K: DoW & Dow: WA - picked up DoW @ $9.99 from CC sale, DoW: WA picked up for $8 @ BB this week
CoD collection - Is it worth getting if I have CoD: FH for the Xbox?
Sacred - I'll give that one a look see

Also, always looking for console suggestions.
CoD for the PC was suppsoedly much better than the xbox version. I think PC got around a 9 on the gamespot review while the xbox version got a 6.7
Correct. Much, much better game - expansion is decent too.

And Painkiller: Black is worth it even if you have the original Painkiller. Both the game AND the expansion (expansion retails for $19.99) all on one DVD - not to mention all the extras thrown in there.

I got Painkiller: Black and traded my original Painkiller in to EB, I'll gladly take a DVD over 4 CD's.

Well, got this to work with the printed coupon but it was definitely a hassle. I got Trauma Center, but the Best Buy near me is very ghetto... so of course they didn't have Lost in Blue or Castlevania.

Well, I almost picked up Doom3:Resurection but I passed. I thought.."Do I really need to play through Doom3 again"

NHL 06 is also $29.99

How much did you get for Painkiller @ EB? I'm sure it wasn't much.

I think it was a couple of bucks?

Honestly, I can't remember, and not sure where the receipt went  I mean, you only paid $10 for it, imo it's really worth it to upgrade, if only for the fact the game + expansion are on one DVD. Plus, if you ever wanted the expansion, it's 19.99 anyways, and it kind of vanished (plus stores like Best Buy / Circuit City never carried it).

I mean, these next few weeks will be the only time I drop full price on all these "collector's editions", just because I love having my PC games on DVD that much.
have at them boys this expries in the next few days.
Yeah, I'm gonna head out there again tomorrow to see if they have Phoenix Wright.

So did anyone get a price match + RED coupon to work successfully?

Was thinking of price matching Radiata Stories (Target has it for 38.88) and then using a $10 coupon... but I have a feeling it's going to be a shit ton of hassle and not even worth it.

Any time you do a PM, which involves changing the price manually on an item, any coupon usage in the system stops working.

If you do get it work, it's very YMMV, and you have to have a non-savvy BB rep at the cashier. I don't bother trying PM + coupon usage, it's simply not worth it.

Yaeh, agreed even though they should do it just like they should also give you the extra 10% off when PM a price down. But alas, this is Worst Buy we speak of.

Final bump for this coupon since I believe it expires tomorrow. I'm going to run by tomorrow and get Castlevania and maybe something else.
Yeah, I'm gonna head out there again tomorrow to see if they have Phoenix Wright.
Unfortunately they don't seem to be carrying it....THAT was originally my plan as well.

picked-up Castlevania: DOS last nite with the coupon, yeah!

Has anyone had problems using the coupon? When it rings up it says it's for a PC game, so I was wondering if some had problems.

Only place I know is CC & Sears Pricematch with Bestbuy Coupon (Target policy is change & they never pricematch with any store or even with Target themself).

So, far Pickup:
Ninja Gaiden Black for $20 at CC after PMs with $10 off.
Advance Wars: DD for $25 at BB with $10 off
Trauma Center for $20 at BB with $10 off

Working on...........Phoenix Wright if i can find it at CC, Sears or BB. Got to find this sucker b4 the coupon expired. :)

PS. I did see Lost in Blue, Trace Memory & Lunar but i don't wanted to drop $20 for it (maybe $10 in the future) :)
Only place I know is CC & Sears Pricematch with Bestbuy Coupon .
That is more YMMV then trying to get Best Buy to PM and take their own coupon, espically since CC dosen't have to take competitor's coupons at all.

i only used one.. was thinking about going back today but there is nothing i Really need im happy i was just able to use the one i did for the lunar ds

BB will give you the 10% on the PM..... after the purchase. If it's not their own pricing they're matching, of course.

Which is why I've been doing the full priced purchase, then go to customer service and get them to do the PM + 10%. Worked so far in the months I've done it that way.

At time of purchase, good luck. The legal on the PM policy allows them to get away with straight PM at time of purchase, and the CC legal on their PM policy doesn't have it that way. Little difference goes a long way.

What I did last time:
I walked up to customer service and told them I wanted the pricematch plus 10% when I bought the item. They said I needed a receipt. I pulled it out, and they said no problem.

The catch is not "when" you buy, but they need to see a receipt. (They photocopied it.)

An ad will only get you a PM. Not the extra 10%

Look back at what I posted earlier.

If you use the ad at the time of purchase, you'll just get it matched at the other sale price. If you use the ad after you've made a purchase (with a recieipt, as you indicate above), you'll get back the PM + 10%, as long as it's not BB's price, since they'll only match their own prices.

Same as you brought up in your post.

it says 10/15/05 for expiration date. so does it work on that day? i want to get trauma center. it costs 29.99 but the coupon says over 29.99. so will it work tomorrow?

Yes, Makesure the cashier scann the game 1st and hit the final total plus taxes = $32.XX then hand over the coupon ;)

so once they scan the coupon, the computer will automatically take off $10?
so once they scan the coupon, the computer will automatically take off $10?
No, but at least this way it's harder for them to argue the game has to be OVER 29.99, since with tax it is.

Wahoo!!...just noticed that as well on the scan of coupon. Durr...Duh feel kind of dumb now. Sorry guys can't believe I messed up on that. Well at least it's good news that we can still use it tomorrow/today. I had thought that I had missed my oportunity to use it since I had an emergency and couldn't make it today. Gonna definitely go tomorrow/today.

I went last night with a printed out coupon. I really wanted FarCry and was nervous they'd give me a problem. While I was in the games section I saw this girl from my old high school working there, and I asked her to take me to the most laid back back person at the cash register.

He looked confused at first, but then just took the 10.00 off manually, and I was back at my house playing farCry in no time :whistle2:D

I really want Far Cry too. I'm going to GR today after I drop by my BB to get 2 copies of D2R2, then preordering Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (XB), and then using the left over cash towards FC: I used for $33.75! :D

Freaking Score!!! I just purchased Ultimate Spider-Man (PC), Psychonauts (PC), and Ninja Gaiden Black for $20 each. Excellent deal!

D'oh! I forgot they dropped the price of Psychonauts. Oh well, too late for me to go back to BestBuy.

broke down and bought Nintendog..
thought about Lunar and Dawn of Sorrow.. but wanna enjoy the touch feature of the DS and probably wait for the other titles later.., not much time to play game.. but can imagine playing nintendog in the bathroom in the morninga and at night a bit hehe..

Got Rise of Nations: Gold Edition... cashier freaked out a bit seeing the coupon, telling me how "he was pretty tired, and really didn't want to go through the mess with the yellow form". I told him not to worry, as it would take it off automatically for PC games... I had some Best Buy bucks to use too, he took the $3 off first manually, so the coupon wouldn't work (dropped the game to 26.99).

He started getting ready to page a manager, I didn't want to deal with it and neither did he, I told him just to scan the game normally, don't use the best buy bucks, and I guarantee the coupon will work. Luckily, it did, so he was relived enough to just let it slide, even though he mentioned 2 or 3 times the coupon said "Games OVER 29.99".
