You just need to catch it early. I got in on the Turtle Beach headset for $20 last month. The deal was to save $20, so I went on the Sunday the $39.99 sale began. The discount stopped working sometime on Monday.

Interesting since the terms said do not stack with sale IIRC, didn't know about people actually got it to stack. So I think the best way to buy it now to ensure a copy, wait for price drop and try to catchit, if not return the item.
Got the last copy of Twisted Metal I could find at the Cedar Hills Crossing store with the $40 off, pretty happy. Didn't have TM Black code, but I actually didn't care for that when it came out so w/e.

They had a few used copies so I tried that first, and no go w/ the discount.

Thanks OP.
Actually I tried that today and it worked! Because the language of the coupon is so general ($40 off Twisted Metal) it could technically apply to a used copy.

When I brought a used copy up, they scanned it along with my smartphone Best Buy Reward Zone app. The game rang up the normal $44.99 so the coupon didn't take as the used copy has a different UPC than the new. I showed them the coupon from my phone and the guy at the register was very helpful. He had a manager help him and simply discounted it $40. Boom I had Twisted Metal for $5! Of course this is very YMMV but made my day!:D

^very, very, very YMMV. I tried today and the clerk said "if doesn't ring up it doesn't work". I then searched for a new copy with TMB but did not find one. Gave up.

Agreed. Luckily the manager was busy at another register and simply told the guy who was helping me out what to do. I don't know how it would have held up under closer scrutiny.

But hey the worse they can say is no right?

Today, I took advantage of the MW3 and Twisted Metal deal and the idiotic clerk could not seem to access my account with my phone number and/or email address that worked every other time... Fortunately, there was a computer in the camera section where I could access my account and print coupons instead of giving my account number which she claimed didn't work. i had the same experience. went to get tm, at checkout the code doesn't work. the guy makes me print another coupon. doesn't work. he calls the manager, she whispered something to him, and he gets on the phone. he's calling corp., its thirty minutes, and i tell him to just price modify, or over ride it, and he tells me the manager told him not to, to get it approved through corp. she refuses to come over and help, after he calls her multiple times. finally he just over rode the price, and he told me how they just lost 40.00 in profit because he did this! and after it was taking care of, the manager comes and asked what corp. told him, and never apologized.

The game is sort of worthless without the online code anyways.

There's a TM online pass going for $3.98, on eBay, right now. Maybe I'll wait for under $20 on this game. Hmm... Seeing as how I'd want the extra game and the online pass, I won't try getting it for $5.

Come on...it's a solid score...OPs can be purchased for cheap

THIS. They have no idea what the hell they're doing. And if you see a woman working back there most of the time, forget about it. I'm not being sexist, but it's true. Hell, the guys working back there are clueless as well.

The coupons are few NEW COPIES ONLY the SKU # for used is different & it's posted on the coupon YMMV on getting it on used.

In order for it to work w/o needing an override-
1-claim the offer thru the RZ site 1st
2-make sure they scan your RZ card
3-make sure they read the PC when scanning the coupon the instructions come right up & they need to follow them.

It should be 1 claim per RZ account

Sale prices DO STACK with these even though they say they don't...this changed just like the @gamer coupons

Twisted Metal-Doubt you'll see a sale price on this since stock is so slim already they wouldn't even be able to have any for a reg sale.
Man so many GU deals.. I'm getting tempted to join.

There were 6 copies left at the store tonight. The only way people would know about the deal would be through Bestbuy.com since even the gaming specialist had no idea there was a sale on the game.
So...I just grabbed 1 MW3...anybody were able to grab multiples
It's tied directly to your RZ account and specifically states "Limit 1 offer per membership." If an employee were to allow you multiple discounts per account, I'd imagine they'd be circumventing the safeguards in place and would get disciplined.\

Edit: I tried. I swear I tried. The easiest difficulty on Twisted Metal is "Normal" and I was struggling through the first two maps (Ranked 40,000 and 40,001). Got to the third map with the electric cage that's constantly on the move and got trapped to where I couldn't get to the garage in time. It's a well designed game, just too much for me to handle. I haven't attempted the multiplayer at all but I figure if I'm struggling this bad, I'll stick out like a noob online and will be just fodder.

I may rebuy this game later on but that TiV is too tempting not to pass up.

I already have a copy of MW3 for the PC. I think it was ~$17. I'll definitely call my dad up, and see if he wants a copy for the PS3. Thanks again OP!

Saint'sRow911;9820037]Am I missing something? I can get Twisted Metal for 20 and trade it back to them for 35? I want to be all over this said:
It works out nicely. I already own Twisted Metal, but I traded my code for Twisted Metal Black. I'll trade my copy in and purchase the new one and make a profit.

Yeah I see no reason why I shouldn't go get the game. I'll pop it in and play it, if I'm not a huge fan, I'll just go trade it in and use the credit towards Madden 13.

Twisted Metal's multiplayer is top tier stuff. You'd have a hard time finding a more fun game online.

Buy it. Support great games. A patch is coming soon too to iron out any remaining technical issues (they're minor).

modern warfare coupon actually says for xbox 360 AND PS3. Dosent that usually mean you can get one per system? If it was for one or the other wouldnt it say xbox OR PS3

Got manager to approve a pm on mw3 and then stack with coupon to make it $9.99 but when order was totaled the coupon on took $30 off instead of $40. Games was $20 with or without the pm and the coupon just readjusted the price back to normal.

Markdowns taken from regular prices. Limit 1 offer per membership. Valid on in-stock items only. Not valid at BestBuy.com®. Excludes clearance, open-box and Marketplace items. No dealers. No copies. No cash back. No cash value. Reward Zone Gamers Club member card number or claim coupon must be presented at time of purchase. Offer valid 7/22/12-8/4/12

Well, traded in Twisted Metal for $35.20 in credit and since I already have 44.80 on another gift card and $20 in online coupons, im set for the rest of the year and wont have to pay anything. It starts with Madden and will end with Far Cry 3. Game looks awesome, hopefully, I'll be able to get into it despite it being a FPS. :(

And I could see getting banned if you bought ten copies of TM and traded them all in but I took advantage of an offer for $20, played the game, couldnt get into it and before the value drops, traded it in.

Picked up two copies of Twisted Metal with one printout and same rz account. No override needed. Not really feeling the game but don't want to go back and trade it in though.

Picked up the last copy of TM at my local store. While I was there, I found the last copy of Kingdoms of Amalur as well (it wasn't on the website this morning, so I felt lucky). $30 spent for 2 sealed games! Solid

Did you get the discount on both titles? If so how? I bought mw3 for my ps3, but am thinking I should have gone for he xb version. It's still sealed but I don't think they would exchange it since I only paid $21 for it. So I was thinking of trying to get the xb version at the discounted price but since I redeemed my offer, wasn't sure it would work.

I already have a huge backlog - I think I'm going to pass on this. I just can't see me jumping into it right now. Although i do love the TM series. I remember playing on PS2 hour after hour after hour. But, I do have to stop by BB later today for a store pick up. I might cave and add it to the shelf... Oh well.

I got the discount on both titles by showing her the coupon and my rz card. At first, I paid for one, then I asked her if the same printout of the coupon will work on a second copy. She said she'll give it a shot and it worked. It went really smooth.

Well that seems easy enough, will try, thnx.

So, it says here that it's $40 off MW3..but on the Reward Zone site I see "Save $25 on MW3".. So, which is it?

Based off reports from other CAGs, you need to be @gamer unlocked in order to see the $40 off MW3 offer. I was able to redeem the $40 off offer yesterday and got MW3 for $20 (I'm @gamer unlocked).

The $40 off coupon is for Gamers Club Unlocked members. If you do not have an Unlocked membership, the coupon will be for $25 off.

Oh ok thanks. I never bothered to get Unlocked due to the fact that I just walk into Best Buy, grab the magazine and game, and then go right to the check out and get the deal. They never check or charge me for the magazine or anything. So I've been getting those coupons for free.

Apparently you're a CAG... Convict Ass Gamer.

I never said I left with the magazine. I said they never check or charged for it when I went to the counter to check out. I gladly wouldve paid for it if they scanned it, but instead they would scan the code on the coupon as if the magazine was mine to begin with. Sorry, but every employee/cashier should be educated on their own store's promotions and coupons etc. If they can't be bothered to check or if managers can't be bothered to teach their employees about this stuff, then I can't be bothered to say "you need to charge me for the magazine in order for me to use the coupon." I've always just left the magazine on the counter and walked out with the game.

Anyone find any Twisted Metal LE in Manhattan? Just checked the Bryant Park store and no dice.

Also checked the Flushing and Rego Park stores. Also no dice.

You just said it yourself though, if you go back and grab the mag and a games section guy sees you he'll assume you're buying it. If you bring it up to the front and just open it up to scan the coupon the cashier up there will assume it's yours (especially if you walk up with it already opened to the coupon)... So being informed or not probably wouldn't matter. It more just sounds like you're getting kinda ditzy cashiers who have a little too much faith in other peoples honesty.

No matter how you try to spin it, you're in the wrong. You grab a magazine, you know it's not yours.... It's just absurd no matter what you try to argue. I hate the people that go by this logic. HATE! I know you didn't ask for my opinion on the matter but you're getting it anyways for posting on a public forum.

Dude don't even waste your time arguing logic with some of these people here. Not worth it. They are going to keep doing what they do, and there is no arguing with them. Not worth your effort and time. Unfortunate? Yes. Stupid? Highly. Lead by example. Screw the others.

Now back on topic... since you're in this thread, I'm assuming we're in the same rat race for these deals? :D

Geez, just pay the $15 for the year membership. You are knowingly doing something dishonest and doing it repeatedly. When the cashier removes those coupons from the mag it is then unsellable, so you are screwing the next guy who might want to buy that mag for the coupons. I don't understand people like this.....so willing to be underhanded over something so trivial. Makes you wonder how these people would act over something costly or important.
What does the LE come with and how much is it retail at BB right now?
Twisted Metal LE comes with a code to download Black from the PS Store. That is it as far as I know.

Retails for $59.99, therefore bringing the cost down to $19.99+tax.

Hope that answered your question.

Twisted Metal is still currently $22 BASE value in trade in.

Anyone else having trouble logging into their reward zone account...says its experiencing technical difficulties.

Well said.

Back on topic. I already picked up Twisted Metal when it was 29.99 at Gamestop. ugh!

I'll be hitting up Best Buy after work in Manhattan to grab Modern Warfare 3 and a couple other summer blowout sale games. My wallet will take a hit today for sure.
