Wow, beat you to it. I picked up the last copy they had of FFXI w/ Hardrive they had in the case. Sorry dude. I'm going to check the one in Aventura Mall tomorrow and hope to find one even though it's probably unlikely.
Damn! It's cool man. I was gonna check Aventura also. I work in North Miami Beach, so I'll run over there at lunch or after work. If you go before then, let me know if it's worth the trip!

Thanks OP. I picked up KOTOR II and Jade Empire yesterday for $20 total. Not sure when I'll have time to play either of them, but dammit they're mine.

Nice Find.

Xbox Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness back in stock online (link on first page)

Just ordered 1 for myself

also....shipping is free if you fill out and mail in the rebate which started yesterday

Went to my local Sears today, not expecting much bc every store in this city is totally behind the times and can't seem to keep up with sales.

The GBA titles I really wanted were nowhere to be found, but I was able to score MK: Shaolin Monks (Xbox), Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox), and Castlevania: CoD (PS2). None were tagged at the sale price, and you should've seen the employee's face. I think the expression was somewhere between "holy shit" and "this guy is scamming me". Either way, $50 for those 3 games is not too shabby at all. Kudos, OP.
Since when was zelda FS for GC part of this sale
I found it in the bargain bin, two copies, one was the big box (with GBA cable) which rang up at $29.99. The other was game only (normal GC box) which was marked at $4.97, UPC wasn't in the system so got it gratis.

Probably very YMMV that one.

Just got my DQ8 and Castlevania from UPS. They were nice and tightly packed, so DQ8's special Star Ocean-like package case made it here without a scratch or dent, I'm sure I'm not the only one who was wondering how that would turn out. Now to find time for either game...
why even ask them? i never believe those employees and i just grab the game and pay it at the cashiers. if it rings up different than what I expected, i just ask nicely to void that item
ditto

Stopped by the Sears in Eastridge Mall in San Jose today and picked up a lot of stuff.

Castlevania COD (Xbox) - $19.97 (plenty left)
Advanced Wars Dual Strike - $24.97 (about 2 copies left)
Pac N Roll - $9.97 (plenty left)
World Championship Poker - $9.97 (about 4 left)
Tiger Woods DS - $9.97 (got the last one)

Total + tax = $81.03

Still had plenty of decent stuff leftover.

Batallion Wars, Star Fox Assault, Castlevania COD (both Xbox and PS2), Ico, Metroid Prime Pinball, Battlefront 2 (xbox), etc.

No DQ8, FFXI + HD, NG Black though
I assumed those EA 2005 sport games are for Xbox because in my Sears, the PS2 aren't marked like that. Only Xbox games do.
Correctamundo!! my friend.

I hit three Sears stores last week. I was able to get Spartan (ps2), Suffering TTB, Tiger Woods (NDS), Ninja Gaiden Black, Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks, Karaoke Rev 2, Alias, and Nascar 2005 (xb). Nascar 2005 was only 2.99.
SVC Chaos - XBX ($3.97) one left I think
Came up $29.99 for me at a Sears today... the employee made sure to make me feel like an ass for asking for a price check, too.

Does anyone know if .hack Part 2: Mutation is on sale? I found it at a Sears, but it wouldn't ring up, so the guy offered me the sticker price of $39.99... I tried to argue that since its not on file, how does he even know it could be 39.99, since Sears is notorious for not changing price stickers and tags, but he wouldn't budge.

Oh Damn I hope I can still find DQ 8 for cheap later on! I didn't feel like paying 6 bucks for shipping. It kinda kills the deal.

WTF only now I see the MIR for shipping! Damn I knew I should have checked CAG yesterday!

I went a little ways to search for some bargains & came back satisfied (Clovis CA Sierra Vista Mall)

Samurai Warriors PS2 $15 (1 left)
Dynasty Warriors Advance GBA $15 (plenty left)
Virtua Tennis World Tour PSP $10 (last one)

There were a few other titles left including Jade Empire, Astro Boy (GBA), Bujnagai, Final Fantasy XI with HD, Dead Or Alive Ultimate etc etc If anyone is looking for anything in particular, you can check my trade list :)

if anyone in san diego is interested the sears in the chula vista mall still had plenty of ffxi w/ hdd as of yesterday. there were about 5 or 6.

Damn, looks like KOTOR 2 and Ninja Gaiden Black have been taken off the site altogether. So much for my hopes of being able to catch them both when they were in stock instead of needing to pay $6 shipping on each, *sigh*

Metal Gear Solid 3 and Burnout Revenge (Xbox) have also gone MIA.

Maybe they are just "hiding", like Need for Speed: Most Wanted PSP was, and we have to know the item number to find them?

Yea, some of them are really assholes. I found a copy of ESPN Basketball at Sears, and I asked the guy to price check but the game wouldn't ring up. So first he offered to sell sticker price of $39.99 and then made an excuse of how he should return the game to the manufacturer. :bomb: Btw, if the game doesn't ring up, does it mean anyone can come in and get that game out of the store for free since it's not in the system?

I tried using the direct links to the items posted in the original topic, and it comes up with a "we can't find that item" screen. So I'd have to assume that they've been taken off entirely.

I was wondering this myself, technically I suppose you could because if any alarms went off as you where walking out you could claim that the store doesn't sell this game therefore how could you have possibly stolen it from here. Still seems like stealing to me though.

When the shop dude scanned my copy of Zelda FS and it didn't come up, I rather cheekily asked him to scan the big box version I'd seen as well, to see if I could get that for free. Luckily he didn't tell me to fuck off at that point and still gave me the first copy for nowt.

i had that problem with fire emblem at sears. he told me they had to return in to the manufacturer. as i was walking away he found it in the system and called me back to buy it. he was actuallly rather nice about it all. a few people in these sears threads said they got games for free because of this.

I've never heard of games being returned back to the manufacturer... once you buy it, you're pretty much stuck with it, which is why you see such extreme clearance sales.

Since K-Mart bought Sears, and I know for a fact K-Mart dosen't return video games, Sears has no way of doing it either. Hell, if companies were allowed to just return games, we would never see a clearance sale.

I scored Metroid Prime: Pinbal (DS) and Advance Wars: DS (DS) for $30 (after pricematch with BB $5 off coupon $19.95). The cashier take $10 off and wait for the manger overide. Lucky me, after 5 mins waiting the manager take over the pricematch (he kinda hurry) and key in another $10 off. I thanks him and shut my mouth walk straight out the door. :)

I picked up Spiderman2 (ps2), Pac N Roll, Star Wars:Rouge Squadroin II, Virtua Tennis (psp) and Yourself Fitness. I am going to head to another Sears on Thursday. I can't believe how many titles were non-gh. This could be the sale of the year!! Virtua tennis and Youself Fitness are up for trade.
This IS the sale of the year

But it's only March
Eh - id still have to say CC Buy2Get1 free glitch sale beats this :applause:

Dell.com $20 of any item $29.99 or more was better. Then there was the $0.98 games at Compusa.com. Then again, those were limited time offers...

Not for me... I'm getting some quality games at great prices, not getting some good games and a whole load of crappy $2.96 games.

Exactly

Decided to run over to Sears at Broward Mall in Plantation, Florida. Was there last week, but I was kinda in and out. I must've been blind because they looked untouched! Got myself the last FF XI w/ HDD. There were plenty of Castlevanias, plenty of KOTOR IIs. Also saw plenty of Dark Alliance IIs for PS2. But of course no DQ VIII. I was satisfied though. Probably gonna have to go back and grab Castlevania. Based on what I've seen at various stores, you would think there aren't many CAGers in this area. I wish I had used my camera phone to capture the expression on the cashier's face when FF XI ran up for $52.xx
Not for me... I'm getting some quality games at great prices, not getting some good games and a whole load of crappy $2.96 games.
True. I used to have over 400 PS2 games until I realized those crappy ass games really wasted my space and not worth having them. I began dumping them at local trading stores. Now my collection has shrunk down to half of what I used to have but at least when I look at them, I know they are all quality games. Quality over quantity for me now.

If we are talking about amazing deals here, the KB toys buy one get one free deal takes the cake for me... i got it price matched at CC and they allowed me to use it on any game including xbox 360 games.

I'm starting to feel the same way but on a smaller scale. I had about 60 PS2 games and I started to trade in or EBay the games I bought but didn't really play and only bought them because they were cheap. On most games, I was able to get back almost what I paid or in some cases a little more than what I paid. Perfect example was Xevious Classic NES for the GBA. When it was posted here that it was $2.99 new at EB I picked up a copy and after I played it 2 or 3 times I had enough. It was in my GBA case for 3 months not used so I ended up selling it cart only (threw out the box and manual when I got the game) for the same price I paid for it.

I'll still buy a game I want if it is cheap but only if I think I really want it and the main reason for me wanting it is not because it's $5 or less.

I just grabbed Carmen San Diego Secret Of The Stolen Drums for $2.97 yesterday at my local Sears. Anyone play it? Is it any good? I figure I can't go wrong for the price. I also scored Bujingai for $4.97...and they had Xmen 2 for $19.97 as well as Spartan Total Warrior for $14.97. (All for PS2)

I ended up with:

Mario Power Tennis
Baldur's Gate II
Ninja Gaiden Back
ICO
Jade Empire
Virtua Tennis
Dragon Quest VIII
Final Fantasy XI

I'd love to get my hands on a Zelda Black Label as I've heard reported.

I think that this was a great sale because it seemed to be under the radar. I didn't feel rushed to pick up stuff before it went out of stock. I can still go to my local Sears and pick up some of the on sale stuff.
DQ8 is back in stock too bad it's back to full retail price.
Looks like everything is back to normal price. No WW: Twisted for me (if it was ever to come back in stock).
So is this sale over? I thought someone on here said it went until April something?
Roufuss it is the in store sale that is going on until April. The website deal was a clearance.
